We came to Campbell river for the day from Comox and was recommended this restaurant by our airbnb host. The fresh catch was the halibut so my partner got fish and chips and I got the lamb burger. We sat on their beautiful patio next to the water. The service was great and we had a very cheerful waitress. The halibut was perfectly cooked and not to greasy considering it was fried (they also offered baked, however, if you want to cut the fat). The lamb burger patty was nothing special, but the burger as a whole was excellent (goat cheese and an apricot mustard). We also got an oyster appetizer. The oysters were huge and not bad, but we were hoping for just plain oysters instead of the mayo, breaded and fried option. We will definitely be coming back next time e aee in town.
Campbell River resident. Went there tonight and couldn't believe how fast our food was served. We sat down at 530 and had finished our meal by 6.

Amazing ocean veiw. I love Quay west, it’s one of my favorite Campbell River restaurants. Fresh food, with quality ingredients. The service is great every time I go here. There is a beautiful ocean view with a great patio for summer time dinning.
Great Place To eat. My wife and I have been here three times in the last month even though we live 45 km. away ! Why ?.-because the food is great. We are lunch visitors as we dont like driving later when it gets dark and so suppers we eat at home.So far we have sampled calamari(best on the whole island)chowder(great) and a few other things, all of them good. I highly recommend this eatery for those that enjoy tasty food ,with a welcoming staff.,and with a great view of the Campbell Riverwaterfront to boot. We both highly recommend this wonderfull resteraunt. We will be back !!!
Awesome food right by the ocean my aunt , my cousins and I frequently go there . And when our friend arrived from Europe I took her there and she was amazed!!
The picture tells a story. After coming across several advertisments on Facebook about Campbell River's newest hot spot. We had to go check it out. The pictures of the food from the menu are very mouth watering. My hubby loves hamburgers and one night he came across a picture of a burger and asked me where is that from ? We had to go and check it out. He was very happy with not only the taste but also the presentation. We will be going back again foresure. I had the jamboylala which I must say was wonderful on my pallet. The pictures do justice forsure.
EXCELLENT IMAGINATIVE FOOD. My guy and I were visiting at Painters Lodge and went in to CR for dinner. The previous night, we went to Baan Thai - see my review of THAT!
Quay West o9ffered a seafood chowder with chipotle and coconut milk, which was EXCELLENT. My only complaint would be that I would have preferred to have it served in a DEEP BOWL and not a rim soup.
My guy had the 2 piece Halibut and Chips. The fish was SOOO CRISPY and delicious. The batter was amazing.I There was a dipping sauce nreminiscent of TARTAR SAUCE but with overtones of AIOLI. The the COLESLAW, which could hVE Hd a larger portion, was dressed with a sweetésour dressing we both really enjoyed.
Finally, the fried were excellent, as was the service.
We both complimented the kitchen staff, who are easily visible from the front of the house.
You should definitely TRY this place!
