Growing up in Chicago and then living in Texas, I have been sad to discover so few good/authentic Mexican places in Ontario. It's either some Subway-style "burrito" place or some upscale, expensive place. But this place is the real deal. Glad to have found it!
We Love this place! Never been disappointed in their authentic Mexican food. We have been ordering take out from there for 4 years now . Will keep going !

A Wonderful Find!. The reviews on Urban Spoon led me to this gem I probably have driven by several times. I agree with the reviewer who said it feels more like you are eating at their home more than a restaurant. The owner/operators were friendly, super helpful, and wanted us to love what we ordered. She insisted we try the mole sauce before committing to our order, to make sure we liked it. It was, of course, delicious. The fresh cilantro and onions on my pork carnitas tacos were the clincher. We'll be back to try more of the items, it was so hard to decide. No, it may not be the spot to go if you are looking for a fancy setting, but the bright, clean seating area is perfect for a lunch out. They are now licenced, and have Mexican beer.
Best Mexican Food. This was our first time at Latinoamerica Unida. It is a cozy place with the best Mexican food I have ever had. The food was so fresh and full of flavour. The menu allows you to choose a few items to try at a time that allow offers great quality and quantity for your money. We had leftovers too and was still amazing the next day. This family owned and operated restaurant will give you an authentic taste of Mexico with great friendly service. Great service, delicious food, home style atmosphere and fantastic value. We will go back in a heartbeat.
Mushroom burrito was delicious & super filling. Burritos are always fresh & the service is fast & friendly. The little store inside the restaurant has an assortment of products. I picked up a few items to try making my own burritos. This place is definitely A++ I would recommend this place for all meals of the day. The 4 times I've been there in the past 4 weeks have all been great experiences.
Basic but good. Sparse interior but friendly owners and great food, which is all that matters.
Amazing!. Amazing food! We are vegetarian and there are a few options for us.. I always crave their food! Also, the food had an amazing kick! The medium is a real medium spice level! Also, the service is great!
Only issue for me is that they close so early!! Mon - Wed closing is at 7pm and...
Can I go back right now?. Latinoamerica Unida is truly a rewarding experience to those who seek it out. Delicious, authentic foods are complimented by imported Mexican sodas and served by friendly staff. Every item ordered by the individuals of my party was delightful. A restaurant that really deserves success!
Loved it!. We had take out and absolutely loved the food...grown ups and kids alike. The meals were fresh and authentic as well as reasonably priced. We plan to dine in and take out over and over again!
It was our first visit to this restaurant and we both loved it. I had steak/beef enchilada and my husband had chorizo tacos. We specially loved their spicy salsa and chips! Would definitely come back to try other dishes.
Authentic Mexican food. The tacos I ordered were very delicious. Very helpful, friendly ladies served my takeout order. If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican food experience, this is it. The music, the decor, Mexican soft drinks, Mexican beer, the staff speak in Spanish - it all has an authentic Mexican vibe. The lady told me their goal is to serve food just like you would find it in Mexico. Try it, you won’t be disappointed. 😀
The freshest ingredients and most authentic you can get in the city. The restaurant is impeccably clean and the service is A+. I have many dietary restrictions, including no gluten and dairy, and I found many tasty options for me to eat! The rest of our party were raving about their taco and soup specials!
This was genuinely the most authentic Latin place I have come across here in Canada so far. Amazing food, service and similar decor I find in my own mother's home. A++
I used to go here when I lived in Cambridge. I still try go back every time I’m in town. The BEST authentic Latino food in town. Feels like your at you friends place and their mom is making dinner. The grocery section is great for hard to find flavours as well! I’ll drive from Toronto for this place!
Always struggling to find decent Spanish food in the Hamilton area, took a drive out to Cambridge and it did not disappoint. Friendly staff serving high quality food with authentic flavours. Highly recommend the Enchiladas! Looking forward to trying their other dishes in the near future! A definate must try!!
When you're here, you're basically in Mexico City. I recently went back after having visited CDMX and they do a phenomenal job of capturing the authentic flavour of the region. Try the pozole -- it's off-menu so check the board or ask if they're serving it when you go. Fantastic place. Great food. Awesome people.
Have heard so much about this restaurant but finally enjoyed the experience only recently. All of the hype was true. Food was awesome and it has a great small business feel to it. I think its the owners who run it and they love it. You can tell.
