I tried them out by chance tonight. Tired & hungry I ordered the Tom yum ramen & spring rolls to go. My truck smelled fantastic, I barley parked it before grabbing the bag & running into the house to eat. WOW was I pleased! So delicious! I will be back, many times!
Meals are yummy and staff are very friendly. Decor is fresh. We really like it here!
You pick your protein and then fill the wrap with a mixture of lettuce, basil, mint, carrot, cucumber and vermicelli sprinkled with nuts and green onion. The dipping sauce – nuoc cham – was salty and sour with only a touch of sweetness. Fishier than most Vietnamese restaurants, as my hands smelled strongly for hours afterwards. Mai said there is also hoisin and satay sauce, but I think you need to ask for them.
I enjoyed the ambiance here, it was bright, trendy and relaxed. Staff was friendly and service was quick. Ordered the sate seafood pho and what I liked the most was the sate was actually spicy and flavorful. At other pho restaurants sometimes i find the sate lacks spice. Enjoyed my food and will be back again!
Overall this is a decent place. The ramen was flavourful with a nice portion of noodles. The beef was pretty good quality and held up well to the broth. The broth is ok, and tasty. Not like dedicated ramen places, but pretty darn good. The beef noodles soup special was pretty amazing. The beef shank meat was excellently marinated and cooked. Nice blend of soft cartilage and firm meat. Rather difficult to get the preparation done properly and the flavour was very nice. Nice to have a good selection spanning different cuisines.
Love love love coming here. The place is newly renovated and super cozy. Great when you want comfort Vietnamese but a bit of ambiance as well. The food here is so incredibly delicious. The menu is quite extensive as well and offers tons of appetizers and mains. You have to try the satay beef soup and the imperial rolls.
Also known as Cuty Quán, is located in the same street mall as Rona, Second Cup and a few other fast food chains. Typically, if you were looking for authentic pho, this wouldn’t be the first place you’d check out. I looked up reviews online and they were generally positive, so we decided to give it a try. It’s a nice atmosphere and there’s lots of variety on the menu. They have a bit of everything - Vietnamese (pho), Japanese (ramen), Korean (bulgogi) and Thai (pad thai). The sate lobster pho and Imperial rolls are two special items that are worth mentioning. The staff there is nice too.
Might be top 5 best pho in Calgary. They are a little less on the meat tho. Overall pretty good, fast and broth is up there with the best. Quick service as well!
I had a good experience last week in this noodle house. The services were perfect, the server kept asking me if we were doing alright. Also, the restaurant currently has a promotion for free spring roll whenever you order 1 main item in the menu. More than that, they also give you free jasmine green tea, you just have to ask for it. I had a satay soup which I felt the best taste I've ever had. The price is reasonable with the size of the noodle bowl. As long as you love Vietnamese food, this restaurant is the best choice for everyone. Definitely will come back someday.
A good place to relax and have some quick Vietnamese food - the satay soup had a bit of kick to it, which is great, since it seems hard to find soup that's actually even a little spicy. They aren't too stingy with their meat portions either. The restaurant also offers Spring Rolls on the house per Entree ordered. They didn't have a variety of choices regarding the serving size but their offered portions fall in the medium range.
Perfect place for a inexpensive tastey meal. Lots of variety on the menu and the food is fresh and delicious. This is my new "go-to" spot for Vietnamese food in Calgary.
A pleasant surprise! We ordered the house special dry egg noodles, along with the roll-it-yourself salad rolls with fine vermicelli, BBQ pork, and minced shrimp. The salad rolls were delicious! It's always nice to find a Vietnamese restaurant that serves more than just traditional pho and vermicelli bowls (which don't get me wrong, I still LOVE).
As mentioned in one of the other reviews, the prices were slightly higher but that's because we ordered the specialty items. Definitely coming back!
Best "fuhhhh " place in the city. I go here at least once a week. Always fast, broth is consistently perfect and the staff are helpful when I want to try something new.
The dishes were decently priced for the amount of food given. Ordered the banh xeo and tasted pretty good, but wish there was more shrimp.
Excellent food - lots of flavor. Nice people too.. We ordered the sate beef and the curry chicken - both were excellent. Spring rolls were perfect. Service was fast and friendly. Would recommend this restaurant as one of the better Vietnamese in the city.
The service was so-so. The waitress was friendly and the food came out quite quick, but we struggled to get everything we ordered on the table. The food was delicious when we got. The peanut sauce was fantastic and I head great things about the fish sauce as well. I had spring rolls and a veggie bowl and it was dang tasty! Everyone else at the table had a beef and vermicelli bowl and they were raving about how delicious it was. I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area.
#1 Favorite lunch time spot. This place never disappoints. We keep coming back and they keep sending us away satisfied. The waitress remembers us and even some of the small changes we've requested (extra satay sauce). The food arrives at our table usually within 5 minutes of ordering and is always hot, fresh and delicious. The owner (or manager, not sure, but he's always there) often welcomes us as we walk in and promptly seats us. Just.. love this place! Deserves 100% rating!!
Pho Sate #20--I arrived with only 15 minutes till close and the staff were more than willing to accommodate me. Free jasmine tea arrived minutes after I sat down. Ordered the Pho Sate rare beef. Broth was spicy with peanuts in it and was really good. Lots of meat and noodles in a pretty big bowl. Only one size. But I was full after finishing the entire bowl. I always order peanut sauce as a side dip and this did not disappoint. Also ordered two shrimp gobblers and they were fantastic as well. Overall rating is a 9.3 and will go back and recommend to all.
Good food and friendly service. Beside its only 5 mins walk from the office, they have a great service and good food. One of my favourite Pho Noodles place for sure. I 100% recommend.
Absolutely Delicious!. My husband and I usually base our choice of Family Restaurant on whether or not our children finish their plates or leave some for later. We loved the dishes we ordered, the waitress was friendly, the manager was attentive, and best of all our dishes were returned to the kitchen empty! Our family will definitely be returning in the future!!!
Best satay beef soup ever!!! I am addicted to this soup, it's amazing and only 2 other restaurants make it the same in the city. If you like spicy food, believe me you have to try this soup! The service is always very fast and prices are reasonable, give it a try.

"Great food, excellent service, but one thing, the owner looks grumpy."
My reply: Don't eat the owner. The food is amazing and service ultra-brisk.
Fast, friendly service. Decent prices. Good pho but nothing amazing.
Very good Vietnamese food. Very good, but a little bit more expensive than most place, but imo it is worth it. Beautiful restaurant, well decorated. Great place to eat. I wish they open past 9pm thou.
I had my 1st vietnamese food experience here while I was in Calgary for training for a new job, and I fell in love. Their lemongrass chicken vermicelli is absolutely the best Ive ever tasted - I've been back in Winnipeg for almost 2 yrs & have yet to find anywhere that even serves that same dish. Their spring rolls are also amazing. The bowls are enormous & the prices are decent. Soon as I can get back West I'll def be stopping in!
I always get the older lady and she's awesome! Overall pho is pretty good.. And really good price! I never have to spend more than I intent to! It actually surprises me how much the bill is after my whole families meal.. Excellent place love it here .. Will always come Sundays after club hangovers
I really liked their #51 so I went back and tried a #12 to go back to my office 3 minutes away. The beef was not rare and the noodles were almost in a ball. It took some effort to get them apart after pouring in the broth. Either the noodles were hot when they put it together or they heated it all together. That was disappointing, but maybe in-house its better. Also, the packaging was leaking which is why they had the broth in a bag which was awkward. Bottom line I'll try again but not that dish. The flavour wasn't groundbreaking. I still think my very first Pho I tried is better at Pho Xuan, but cash is required...no debit.
This place is amazing if your looking for the some of the best viet food in Calgary look no further
One of NE Calgary's Better Pho Restaurant. I second Johnny's review. I come here from time to time with my colleagues, the menu has a good variety, the food is authentic, tastes good and is well priced.
Good food & Fast service. Went to this restaurant couple of weeks ago, the place was clean, food was great and good service.Had grilled pork and spring role vermicelli, will definitely return
Ok...the straight goods. First off, this place is clean...really clean...always a good sign. Prices for portion size are very reasonable. The food itself was quite tasty. Came with a free pot of nice tea...and service was pleasant and friendly. Go....you will enjoy it.
Yummy Food. I have had good experiences..they recognize you...and food is always prepared if you order to take out..even I have had times I have ordered wrong food..to my surprise food turns out decision and spicy...and lot of food for good price...friendly service...I used to go there when It was formerly a median restaurant... good times..
Excellent vegetarian dishes. This location had been a Mexican restaurant recently but I wasn't too disappointed to find it had become a Vietnamese place. I ordered a vegetarian stir fry and salad rolls and was very happy with the quality, quantity and price. A couple of weeks later I took a friend there and she absolutely loved it. The service was friendly and quick, and the restaurant was quite busy. Very nice to see! I hope to be back often.
One of the better Pho places. Menu has a variety of choices. Phos, vermicellis, rices, vegitarian dishes, stir frys, authentic vietnamese dinner plates, deserts and liquor. Over a hundred menu dishes and so far havent i been disappointed. House special seems to be #20 beef pho sate. Portions are larger then average and filled with more then enough meat be it beef, chicken or seafood. Every item is less then 10 bucks. Place is new but already busy. Quick friendly service. Clean environment.
Room: nice decor and clean Service: pleasant and efficient Pho Sate: spicy, hearty and delicious, generous serving - perhaps a bit saltier and fishier than most but wonderful nonetheless
