Went here for dinner one night. I had the steak which was amazing. The server was very attentive and polite. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Ummm...YUM!. We're seasoned brunch goers...Fairmont Hotels, B-Side, Delta Bow Valley...we've done them all! However, I think we found a gem that surprised even the fussiest 'foodie' of our bunch. Our group of 9 perused and powered our way through the delicious spread this sunny Easter Sunday!
From the succulent Prime Rib carving station, duck with barley risotto, and omelette station, to the creamy Eggs Benedict, the cold seafood display with prawns, mussels, clams, salmon and sushi...to the homemade marshmallow 'Peeps' and mini macarons...we found culinary treasure after treasure! And yes...I did have a bowl of Frosted Flakes while helping myself to a great variety of fresh fruit :)
Service was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable! Brianne took our phone reservation with genuine enthusiasm and witty sense of humour, which continued when she met us at the reservation desk this morning! Victoria was quick and courteous...always on the ball with our drinks, extra cutlery and any other requests we had. Seeing our full tummies and food-drunk faces, she was smart enough to even plant the suggestion that we book our return on Mother's Day, promising many more wonderful delectable delights to come!
The ambiance was lively and happy just like Easter should be! Like the giant fuzzy bunny who wandered around to give all the 'kid-like' buffet-goers some treats...We will be back again!
Thank you!!
Holly, Dana, Stanka - Thanks for Thanksgiving. Sunday night Thanksgiving Dinner with my family. We have eaten Sunday buffets at the Delta South Atrium Cafe for years, as well as countless dinners. This time, we tried their special four course Thanksgiving Dinner. It was lovely to have a set menu and one of the highlights was a before dinner drink called an Apple Jack. It had an apple chip (like a potato chip) on the top and the drink was made with three different kinds of apples. A delicious way to start. The carrot and grilled zucchini ribbon salad was light and fresh. The roasted turkey was moist and plentiful. For dessert, the pumpkin pie brulee was fluffy. It was nice to leave a Thanksgiving Dinner feeling great, rather than overly stuffed. I wish to thank the manager, Holly, for her exceptional service. She has a welcoming personality and made my elderly parents feel very special. The chef who planned the menu, Dana Rogers, planned a lovely menu - each course having two selections to choose from. I could tell he spent a lot of time planning. Stanca, our waitress, also made our evening most pleasant. I'm looking forward to returning in two weeks for our regular Sunday brunch. One of the things that makes the Atrium Café stand out is the fact that the food is exceptional, yet the price and the atmosphere is not uppity, like many exceptional restaurants. It's relaxed and quiet, yet classy and romantic at the same time. There were families there tonight and people of all ages. The brunches are also well attended by all generations of visitors. Thanks, again, Holly. We'll see you soon.
