Obsessed with the patio. It's incredible. So beautiful. The food isn't too bad. I've only tried their happy hour stuff, so the oysters and the tacos. Both were decent.

Looking forward to the patio opening. Love the menu for snacks and wine or beer. Tater tots who knew??? The staff are friendly, the service quick. If I am in the area I love the Thursday Clive burger and a beer, they will sub in a glass of wine.

Good pub food. I'm kind of surprised with the low rating here. I am here for drinks after work and sometimes for lunch almost every week. Plus their rooftop patio is just amazing in the summer.

I'm not sure why don't they have the wings specials anymore. If anything, that would bring in more people.

This is not a full review of the restaurant – just of one appy to go with my beer: The Scotch Egg. What is a scotch egg? It is a medium poached egg wrapped in sausage and deep fried in batter. The trick is not overcooking the yolk – which is really hard to do. Looks like they nailed it! Great place to go for after work drink specials and appetizers, the patio can be pretty epic in the summer.

National on 8th is an awesome place to grab some drinks with coworkers or friends after work! Craft beers are always delicious, and it’s the type of beer I usually drink. The beers are really good and well-crafted. One surprising hit for me is the food! My Glory Bowl was surprisingly delicious for bar food, and my friends loved the sliders. The atmosphere at National is also great. The dimmed lights and modern music makes the bar feel young, and makes it a perfect bar to hangout!

We went to watch the Flames game here. We ordered the butternut squash soup, mozzarella sticks, and the Rueben sandwich to share. The sandwich was amazing! Very unique twist on the traditional sandwich. Prices were reasonable, menu items were fairly similar to any other pub in the city. Customer service was fair. Not my kind of restaurant but it was still a pleasant experience.

Nice place to go to after work with friends and colleagues. I went there for lunch only once and ordered the steak frites,... oh and don't miss this place on Wednesdays. Wings are on special on Wednesdays😉

Very weird location being on the 3rd floor inside a building. It's great for after work drinks if you work downtown but not very lively for a Saturday night. The drinks are on the expensive side. Staff is awesome and very friendly! 😄👍 They also have some excellent tv screens to watch the big game. Classy pub with a high end feel.

I go to National on 8th for the atmosphere and the beer. The rooftop patio, games room and private room make this a great spot for gatherings. It's also an easy place to get parking in the evening if you park in The Core.

The selection of beers and drinks are quite broad. Lots of beers to choose from and their house-made cocktails are good. The Dark and Stormy is a nice and creamy drink with mild sweetness.

Food is fine here for a pub-like kitchen. The essentials are there with wings, burgers and flat breads. I wouldn't say anything amazes me, but they try to serve quality food and it's enough to satisfy me while I drink with friends. Expect prices for main dishes to be in the $15+ range.

Had buck-a-shuck Oysters - great quality! The Oysters came out fast and I loved having them on the beautiful patio. I'll be back for sure.
