Great space and super friendly staff. Was in yesterday for a few pints and shared pretzel bites and had a pulled pork sandwich for lunch. Food was excellent and cannot wait to see the menu develop further. Guest breweries on feature at the moment as they get their tanks going. Pretty awesome that they pay their staff a living wage so there is no need to tip. Although you can buy your server a beer in lieu!

It is quite the cavernous place to feast on BBQ. The servers do a really good job of keeping up with the patrons and never letting their glasses go empty. There are many delightful beers on tap to compliment any of the succulent BBQ meats they provide. The variety of meat here is refreshingly varied and prepared very well. The portions were a little smaller than I had hoped for. The 2 person sampler seemed more like a 1 person sampler. It tasted great though. It would also be great to have more visual aides for their sauces that are available. It sometimes felt like work trying to understand what they serve abd what sides are available. If you are a repeat customer it probably gets easier. It is certainly easy to see the building and find parking too.

I’ve been here 3 times and it’s consistently been good. In my most recent visit I was most impressed with the size of their beer list!! So many to try. My bf and I got two flights of 6 beers and there were still many we didn’t get to. Next time! Note: tip is included in the menu pricing. So no need to tip here. Some people love it, others hate it but just be aware that’s their policy! Oh, and it’s family friendly! Which was amazing because it’s tough to find a fun place that allows kids. My friends have 2 three year olds so booster seats and a kids menu were extremely helpful.

My pulled pork poutine with deep fried cheese curds was absolutely delicious. 🤤 Craft beer is awesome with huge selection to chose from. My Grizzly Paw Cocktail was tasty too. Cant wait to come back. Love this place!

This is a nice place to hang out with friends casually. The beer is brewed in-house, I think, and they have an assortment of drinks and cocktails for everyone. I had a burger and my friend had the chicken wings. Everything tasted really good. The 3 stars is because we had a small issue with the seating arrangement as everyone was clustered in one area. We requested to sit somewhere else but a stern, older man said no. My friend was very tempted to walk out in that moment, but I pacified him because I couldn't be bothered to look up another place to hangout 🤷🏽‍♀️ Beyond that, our server was really nice. The food was good. Ample parking space as well. Update: I liked that the management took my initial three-star review seriously and graciously reached out to me. Hung out with friends here afterwards and it was a nice experience. The patio was open, the drinks were delicious and the wings tasted so good.. The service was also very nice.

Absolutely amazing brewery! Great food and great drinks. What I'm most impressed with is that the owners pay everyone a living wage, so they advertise that tipping is optional. I mentioned how great I thought it was to our waitress and she said the owners actually cared and it was better than any other place she's worked. A fantastic place to support. They also have individual bathroom stalls which is fantastic!

Came for the beer but will have to return for the BBQ some time soon. Stopped at Prairie Dog Brewing on a sunny Labor Day afternoon for a couple of beers on their patio and was not disappointed. The staff were efficient and friendly getting us to a table as soon as one became available and a big plus is the patio welcomes dogs and is well spaced so the four legged visitors can chill in peace. We tried the Coconut Brown Ale, the Belgium Blonde Ale and the Garrison Red and all were excellent especially when helped along with plate of loaded sweat potato fries (pictured). Viewing the satisfied customers chowing down on some amazing BBQ fare we need to return with an appetite. It is worth noting that the place does not promote tipping - posted on a big blackboard above the bar - stating their staff are paid a real living wage. Tips are still appreciated but not sought after - if only this concept would take off in other establishments.

Absolutely Amazing! My fiancé and I are from the States (New Mexico) and we came to Calgary for a couple days before we head to Banff. We just got here from the airport and we’re super hungry and we love breweries. We randomly found Prairie Dog because we search for pretzels and cheese. The place is huge; it’s so spacious! We sat at the bar. I like sours and Mark, the bartender, recommended the… jumping something and how I could do a flight with the variety of flavors (citrus mango, strawberry, and Saskatoon - left to right in the photo) and lemme just say they’re the BEST sours I’ve ever had. We ordered their pretzel bites with cheese, which were just okay, and lacking a little salt and maybe a little over cooked, but still tasty! For our entree, we got wings and Mac and cheese. SO GOOD! The brisket in the Mac was so tender. Like I said, we’re not from here, so we asked Mark (the bartender) for some places to go eat since it was just my birthday and we’re here for a few nights. He went out of his way to provide us multiple different options! He even texted his wife to ask!! One of the best customer service experiences we’ve ever had. Mark was phenomenal - we highly recommend. They also have board games and cards to sit, play, drink and relax! If you’re still reading, thanks! And hope this helps!!
