Started off with the bannock and butter. I’ve had better bannock. Then I got their lobster roll. Extremely salty. Had to give it back as it was inedible. Got their chicken soup instead which was amazing! Loved it! We also got their chicken teriyaki on rice. Very basic. Not enough chicken. They gave us a complimentary dessert, which tasted okay. Sitting out on the patio was nice! The young girl serving us was so lovely. All other staff were very unfriendly. Glad I experienced this place once. Wouldn’t ever go back. Maybe I’d get their soup to-go 😅

Came here for the AB on the Plate event where they had a $25 per person lunch special!
Menu included:
Livingston Garden Greens – Heritage Park grown Artisan lettuce, Sliced Cucumbers and baby gem tomatoes, Candied Walnuts, Sylvan Star Grizzly gouda, Saskatoon berry vinaigrette.
Valbella Elk Burger, 6oz ground elk patty, Green leaf lettuce and Heirloom tomatoes, Maraschino cherry pickled onions, Jalapeño Monterey jack cheese, Alberta Bakery Rye bun, Sea salted shoestring fries.
The elk burger didn't taste too different from a regular beef burger, but it was very tender and juicy. I loved the walnuts that were part of the salad. The portions were also huge so we couldn't finish.
The restaurant is located right outside Heritage Park with free 90 minute parking, so it is perfect to visit with family if you are planning to enter the park or just to check out the shops!

Nick was our server and the professionalism from this young man was phenomenal. Not only did he have grand knowledge when it came to the food items but his attentiveness and overall friendliness made me and boyfriend feel at home. Overall a lovey place to eat and will go back it was amazing!

This is our halfway point on our bike rides and I’ve always enjoyed the food and service. Mitch has been our server a few times and he always kills it. Good prices, good patio, good vibes.

They seemed short staffed when we were there. This was evident in how long it took our food to arrive at our table. The food was only warm and not hot. The staff were friendly and did not hesitate to try to make our order better. The restaurant itself was clean and presented well. I believe they are the victims of being unable to hire enough staff (e.g. shortage of available workers applying for work.)

Today I had the steak sandwich. Perfect. Medium Rare as I ordered. Salad fresh and crisp.

Honestly the best Fish and Chips I’ve had in very long time. Nice sized portion. Just enough. Lightly battered perfectly done. My friends had the steak sandwich and the other the express lunch. Both said they were great.

Have been going here for years, we lived close and have hosted special events here. Unfortunately it’s not going be under my radar anymore. Staff is great and always has been. It’s the quality and quantity of the food that is extremely disappointing. Three crabcakes about the size of a tonney for $16 was my last order, overdone and where was the crab? (They were full of vegetables, had a mustard sauce and some onions for dipping and a few pieces of spinach underneath the cakes, where was the crab? ) The charcuterie board that was disappointing. Nobody at our table was impressed with what came to the table either. On one of my previous visit here the steak I ordered that was well over done, I was told by staff that it was cooked in a bag and submersed in boiling water. No wonder why there was no flavour and was uneventful. I personally don’t think they’re looking for points for quality, I don’t mind paying for quality or quantity but I found neither here or somewhere in the middle. With my recent menu choices here, I would never order again no matter what the price and I can’t understand what they charge for what you get.

Wonderful lunch menu, and the prices are pretty good as well! Bannock was fresh out of the fire, and the flavored butters were delicious. The wraps we ordered fell apart a bit, but we had no other issues besides that. We'll absolutely be back, whenever the chance arises.
