Love the rustic interior and ambiance. Great place for a drink but quiet enough for a date. We started with a couple drinks with a french onion soup and mussels. The soup was amazing. They added the perfect amount of cheese, not so overwhelming that it over powers all the flavours. The broth was great and packed with carmelized onions! The mussels were quite fresh, at least for not living by the ocean! Cooked in a cider sauce with double smoked bacon, it made for a nice, light yet savoury starter! For my entree I got the lamb tagnine. Pistachios and lamb are a match made in heaven! Lightly sprinkled over the dish, it added great texture! The lamb was very tender and fell apart. My boyfriend got the chicken coq du vin on special. The sauce was amazing and the chicken was so juicy. For dessert, we got the dark chocolate mousse. A little to rich for my tastes but paired well with a cup of coffee. Overall, great food. Our server was kind but needed more knowledge on the food/menu.
Went for an impromptu dinner with friends and it turned into a wonderful dining experience. The portions of food were hearty and filling and the service was exceptionally great. My friend had a wonderful helping of mussels, the others had croquet madams (I have never seen such a large portion) and I had the tagine. we also shared the olives and fois gras. The bread was fantastic and baked in house. The servers also suggested a fantastic aperitif. Cocktails were great too.
Took my bestie here for bday lunch & I've been here for cappuccinos. 1) the service = excellent; they recalled me from a prior visit months ago ; attentive & friendly 2) we ordered oysters as appetizer = HEAVEN!!!! presentation & taste = to die for:) 3) meals: my best friend had the Croque Madame...@
The decor, the service and the food is very good. Only one issue...the worst vinegrette on the house salads ever! Very, very blah with no flavor. For a French restaurant I think that is a crime.
Was very impressed on my first visit to this restaurant serving French cuisine. Service was fabulous and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I started with the small portion of beef tartare and it was a generous amount, it was very flavourful and it was served with crispy crostinis and side greens. For my entree i got the lacquered pork belly, it was in a nice sauce i thought this could have used a better side, the apple slaw on the side was a bit lacking. My friend order the chuck burger and she said it was juicy and it came with a huge side of fries which was worth it. The white chocolate creme brulee was yummy but i thought the chocolate mousse was not too sweet but was a bit too rich. Would definitely come back again and try something else.
Tess and Alex go to Parc for Tess' Birthday
Wowee we had a wonderful time here! Our server was super cute and funny and all of our food was amazing! We started with the Fois Gras and the Brioche and Mushrooms which were both delicious. Then Alex had the Beef Chuck Burger which he was very impressed with and I had this Duck Pot Pie sort of thing that I would definitely go back for! The best part was the Madeleins for dessert, baked fresh when ordered and they give you this never ending bucket of them. Best dessert in Calgary for sure!
I loved it here and I will definitely return!
We went to Parc to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had a nice table set up right in front of the open doors to the patio, it was perfect. To top it all off my mom got a birthday card signed by the staff and a 10% off her next visit, that was a very nice personal touch.
Beautiful restaurant, very accommodating professional staff. Food was great, fab wine selection too. I will definitely be back, there are a lot of dishes on the menu I'd like to try.
Really enjoyed it here. Classic brasserie atmosphere. Black and white checkered floor. Classic French table linens. But still a wonderful casual relaxed vibe and pace. Service was attentive and friendly. Cocktails and wine suggestions were very enjoyable. Food was balanced, well executed and simple. I have been telling all my friends to try it.
This place is great for date night. Lovely ambiance and very sophisticated feel. We have had drinks, appetizers and dinner here on more then one occasion. The food has been above average. We have always sat at the bar and have had great service service.
Today's Big Taste is at Parc Brasserie, a restaurant serving up French casual and fine dining. It is located two stores down from Tutti Frutti on 16th Avenue SW. . Foodie tip: there's free parking in the alley behind 17th Avenue. Mixed Greens - toasted pumpkin seeds, julienne apple, maple cider vinaigrette
Parc Café & Brasserie was on my hit list this year. They had me at escargots and gnocchi. I have been to Parc before to have their mussels and they were SO good. This time around, I made a last minute reservation at Parc with Sharon of La Petitte Shar. They have amazing customer service, delicious food, and a cozy setting to wind down a busy day.
One of the vest french rest in town. The servers are well organized. I would definitely go again with my friends. I just wish it offered a more different type of drinks.
My friend Jaimie and I wanted to catch up. She told me to pick the restaurant. I chose Parc Brasserie for the Big Taste lunch. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the Big Taste lunch feature was for weekdays only.
I can't understand the average reviews received by Parc because I've had several perfect european-authentic experiences now. Today my wife and I stopped for brunch and I was instantly impressed by what I'd call the best brunch / late-breakfast menu in the city - arguably Calgary's best croque-madame. Food is very very french. Maybe some visitors aren't sure what they'll like? It caters to authenticity with ingredients like french cheeses and sauces. It's a beautiful spot with all the details done right from the insignificant details like napkins to even a very solid if short list of french wines and a nice coffee bar. I wish I could stop by for breakfast more often.
Friend has been raving about this place for awhile and finally got a chance to go. It didn't disappoint at all. Love how casual but sophisticated it feels.
Started with the seared tuna - sooooo good. So much flavor. Shared the pork shoulder and veal. Both very delicious, hearty and filling!
Good service! Will be back and would recommend to others.
Parc reminds me of Le Select in Toronto. It's a relaxed space with a tasteful French flare. I had the quiche which was tasty, the creme brûlée was good and the lemon tart was well presented (didn't get to taste).
Overall a positive experience.
Consistently one of my favourite French restaurants in the city! With an ever availability of croque madames on their menu, it's always a great choice to satisfy a hearty brunch craving. The bread is baked to a soft, fluffy texture that highlights the bechamel sauce and Gruyere cheese flavours with every bite. With a sunny side egg in the middle, this classic French treat is definitely on the richer side, which makes it nice that it comes with a side salad to cleanse the palate in between bites. The steak frites is another solid choice as well, with a tender piece of steak covered in a flavourful mushroom peppercorn sauce that goes great with the fries. Definitely a place worth indulging in!
My husband and I went for a brunch on Christmas Eve, the service was great and the French onion soup was to die for!!! I had the brioche and mushroom and my husband had the lamb neck, the fries were also pretty amazing, will be back for sure
Love everything about Parc Brasserie. Service, food, bread they give you as a starter and ambience. Just wish they would go back to the skinny fries they had when they first opened. Now the fries are too thick, salty and greasy. And yes fries matter when you are having steak frites!
Came here tonight for a catch up dinner with the girls and was not disappointed!
Our server was attentive but not too pushy, she was always around when we needed her. The restaurant was fairly busy for a Monday, but she made sure our drinks were full and dirty dishes were cleared.
We ordered 3 appetizers to start: the charcuterie board, tarte flambé and beef tartare. The charcuterie board for the price of $29 was pretty small, we have had way better boards at other restaurants along 17th ave. However, the tartare and tarte flambé were great! I ordered the duck as my main and I loved it, although I was not a big fan of the lentils (which was half the plate).
Overall would definitely come back to try the other dishes! They had a special tonight that sounded awesome but I am always a fan of duck!
Parc is in Mount Royal Village in the old Borgo location, owned by the same folks as Bonterra. I'm really enjoying Parc. Have been twice for brunch (they take reservations) and once for dinner. The food is excellent. Great cappuccino, and great brunch dishes (lovely champagne by the glass as well). I had perfectly cooked salmon for dinner. The service is really friendly. Every staff member on the floor greeted us upon arrival and wished us a good evening on the way out. Quite genuine and not over the top. The timing of the dishes was really good, but not quite perfect, otherwise I would give them a 5.0.
When N was back a few weeks ago, I took him out for an evening to celebrate his (then belated) birthday. It seems like there are so many new places opening up all over the city so we decided to check a couple of them out. We started the night at Proof, a new cocktail bar with an impressively extensive menu, grabbing one of the last tables on what was looking to be a pretty busy Friday night.
Fantastic food and great service. The Escargot was very tasty and the Gnocchi a la Parisienne was incredible. The staff were very friendly. Overall great dining experience.
Menu items could be a bit more descriptive. Flavours are all there and the whole place has this cool vibe to it. Looking forward to new dishes. Will definitely come back again.
My friend has been raving about the Parc's quiche for months now. I always thought "quiche is quiche", whatever....... But the quiche here is mind-blowing, life-changing and orgasmic!Everything else we had was fantastic: Croquettes, French onion soup and lobster gnocchi. The wine recommended by the server was delicious., Speaking of service, the service was polite, professional and pleasant. I can't wait to go again and introduce all my family and friends to this place!!
The food was delicious and the service was great. Had a little bit of everything and it was well portion! Definitely worth a try if you are wanting to try French Cuisine :)
A fair warning that french food in general can be a little heavy. I think I gained an extra pound or two from their foie gras as a starter, steak as the main, and creme brule for dessert
You have to try out this place just for the decor. It feels like you've just stepped into France. The service was incredible, they were very helpful and the food came in the right amount of time even though it was starting to get busy. I had the elquin ham eggs benedict, and I would honestly say it's the best benedict I've had in Calgary.
Parc Brasserie is another new option which has recently opened and is challenging for our favourite French spot in town. For those who don't know, a brasserie is a more upscale type of eatery that slots in somewhere between the laid back bistro and the high end French fine dining options. We had 4 appetizers and 2 entrees and 2 desserts which ranged from fair to excellent. Read our blogpost for full details and pictures.

Parc is most definitely a nice addition to the 17th ave: we needed a French restaurant there! I've been there a few times, both lunch and dinner, and depending on who your waiter is, you'll get either decent or great service.
The menu covers classic French dishes as well as more refined ones, so you should be able to find that specific item you loved when you went to France!
Their Tarte Flambée (double smoked bacon/onion/chive/crème fraiche) is delicious and tastes almost like the ones from back home... and their Foie Gras Torchon (with candy cap mushroom/praline/verjus gelée) is just perfect.
I'd suggest you also try the Escargots (portobello mushroom tart/frisée/garlic chips) as is a different take on how the escargots are normally done... and definitely save some room for the amazing Tarte au Citron Meringuée!
At last, P week! We decided that we had to try Parc Brasserie, which is one of the many new restaurants on 17th Ave. It's nested in the chain of establishments that run alongside Tomkins Park. We were promptly greeted and taken to our table. John ordered a beer as usual as we took our time browsing over the delicious sounding menu.
You guys.
Words cannot describe how much I loved my experience at Le Parc Brasserie. Point taken Im a huge sucker for french food but this was just amazing.
The boyfriend and I had a Friday evening reservation. I expected the place to be packed but it was still quite empty when we arrived at 7 pm. We were able to find street parking right away and could grab a patio table.
Service was amazing. We were greeted as soon as we got in and out server took such good care of us, giving us helpful and honest advice on the menu.
The atmosphere was also amazing. Definitely had the feel of a little French bistro and was not too loud, even when the place eventually filled up. I noticed that the tables at the back were near the kitchen so you could watch the chefs cook. Pretty cool.
The food... My god, the food was absolutely délicieuse. We shared the escargots and three fromages to start. I had never experienced escargots like this (see second picture) and had been expecting escargots à la bourguignonne but these were equally as good. The cheese were also good although the plate could've have used one "stronger" cheese. They were all fairly mild. For the main course we had the duck breast and steak frite. Sooooooo good! Moist and delicious meat served in perfect portions. Finally we topped this dinner off with some profiteroles and mousse au chocolat. I'll be dreaming of these desserts for the next few weeks for sure.
I warmly recommend this place. Had an amazing experience overall and they definitely have found a new loyal customer in me.
Tried Parc for both brunch and dinner; my advice is to go during breakfast and lunch.
The bread that they offer for all the tables are so good. Baked in house and offered with butter, salt, and olive oil. Mm.
We had the croque madame and it was a good portion. Left feeling satisfied.
I don't know if the difference in our experience was that it was a lot busier at dinner time in comparison to brunch. Our server did not seem to know much about the menu and struggled to explain our charcuterie board when it was presented. Our main entrees also took forever to come out, and when it did, my dish was cold. When I complained, they took it back and reheated it (probably in the microwave) and just replated it for me.
The profiteroles were really good and big portioned. Creme brulee was good but nothing special.
I like the location because street parking is available but it does fill up pretty quickly. I would also recommend making resos. I will consider for breakfast or lunch again, but not for dinner ever.
Having lived a short train ride away from its capital for the majority of my life, I like to think that France is a little like my stomping grounds. 🇬🇧 So when I tried Parc, I felt a little closer to home. The transformed space whisks you away to warm coastal evenings, where the knowledgable staff, and even the French language set the tone for an authentic meal. Guillaume and his team serve up some French classics, done right: the tartare au boeuf is bright but rich, the croquettes are crisp and savoury, the escargot almost stopped my heart they were so good. The cocktails are perfectly balanced (I highly recommend the Oui Chef!) and the desserts are worth saving extra room for. From Guillaume to Peter, to the bartenders and hosts - every single individual was attentive, accommodating and welcoming; real life Mythbusters on the usual French stereotypes. Parc is great for a light lunch with the girls, or an intimate meal for you and your beau.
Good service and the server was friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. Food was tasty and the platters were a good size to share. Would definitely go back to this trendy and modern contemporary place.
Parc was very tasty.
I came here with my friends and we all ordered the burger and the calamari to share.
I have to say the Calamari was super delicious. I loved it, especially with some sundried tomatoes included into it.
The Le Parc Burger was super tasty and juicy. we created and added out own toppings. i love mushroom so i had to get those added to mine.
The fries that came with the dish were also really good, but wish they were skinny fries :)
Overall i enjoyed Parc, and will return to try more dishes.
Experience here for dessert was amazing. Our server was incredibly welcoming and friendly, knew how to add in some humour. He always was prompt and offering to help with anything. We came here for dessert after our waitress at Cibo suggested to come here for some decadent dessert at their sister restaurant. She was not wrong at all. The desserts here are super decadent and rich. I ordered a creme brûlée that was twice the size of what I usually get. Super creamy and tasty. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying some of their entrees (heard they had a lamb special tonight which I would've loved to try if I had more room in my tummy!).
Escargot was mediocre at best. nothing to rave about. Lamb was amazing, and the beef tartar was average. Decor is nice, service was good. kind of condescending .
From what I know Calgary doesn't have a lot of French kitchens. This place has great service and a plethora of menu girth. The decor is done in a fairly traditional French manner and the center bar is beautiful. We had the mush on toast, lionaise salad, black cod fritters and duck all of which were great. We had 3 different cocktails and they were also amazing. Traditional dishes nothing super cutting edge but a pleasant experience from a growing resto group.
Came here with my husband, our 9 month old, my in-laws and my mum for a early Mother's Day lunch.
We loved the decor and atmosphere and thought it was very authentic! The menu looked amazing and had lots of items that we wanted to try!
My husband and I shared the charcuterie and the beef tartare and thought they were great. Excellent portion size and flavours. We finished with the profiteroles and lemon meringue tarte and thought they were exceptional as well.
We had a very friendly server who was from France (whose name I unfortunately cannot remember). He was so helpful and definitely elevated our experience!
I might die I ate so much.. Went to Parc for Mothers Day dinner and oh my god, the food was unbelievable. I had the salmon special with risotto and I almost licked my plate, my brother had the braised lamb shank and it was to DIE for, I definitely picked off his plate for the majority of the meal on top of my own. My mom had the lobster gnocchi and it was worth the price for sure, and I didn't even get a chance to try the flatiron and the veal because my grandma and Dad ate the dishes so fast. The main courses did take a bit longer to come out, but it was very clear that a lot of love goes into the dishes. The food is worth the wait 100%. This place is a diners paradise, our server Richard was very knowledgeable, very kind and absolutely lovely. It is the type of place that you go with good friends for great food and great conversation. Will be back 100% and it was worth the food coma I've put myself in.
Thomas Smith. Enjoyed the restaurant , service, and food presentation.
My only criticism is the noise level for conversation.
TCS
Good traditional French cuisine --- went with a friend and shared everything from appetizer to dessert. Wild mushrooms were nice and tasty, beef tartare tastes great the classic way with quail egg. The first main dish was the duck, and the second main dish was halibut. Both dishes were delicious highlighted by the sauce. Finished off with creme brulee and the profiteroles had the traditional good taste. Service was good in the formal manner, but of course price is on the high end. Will recommend overall.
We were pleased by the high quality food and friendly service. Though it costed us an arm and a leg, our experience was delightful. The server demonstrated thorough knowledge of the food and went through the menu with us. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to impress their date.
Finally a group of people who understand what a great evening should be. Beyond the fact that the room is beautiful, and the fact that the food is some of the best I've ever had, the staff know how to create a calm oasis from our crazy lives. It's like having an evening in Provence, without the jetlag. Thanks guys. We'll see you soon. Parc Brasserie...when you need to get away.
Délicieux!. Came here for lunch and was totally impressed. The decor was traditional and classy. Our server, Bridgette, made the perfect recommendations and was very attentive. My friends and I shared 3 apps and a main and were too stuffed for dessert (too bad because they all sounded fantastic). Prices were very fair especially for the top-quality and generous portions. I will definitely be raving about Parc to anyone looking for a trendy spot with exceptional food
Great dinner date!. My girlfriend is up on all the latest restaurants in Calgary and has been to most of them, so this makes it tough for me to plan a nice night out to a place she hasn't already experienced. I found Parc online and was thrilled to learn it just opened two weeks ago so there's no way she could have already tried it. I made us a reservation and we had a wonderful night! The service was absolutely impeccable - our server, Peter, was attentive, informative, witty and certainly enhanced the night. The food and drinks were fabulous, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. No TV's at the bar so we were able to focus on conversation with each other rather than being distracted by the game. Excellent date spot! A+
Fabulous first experience here. Ordered the poulet for a main course, basically a cow au vin served with a lovely light jus with mushrooms and Brussels sprouts and a surprisingly smoky bacon, which initially I thought would be a bit much, but it worked all too well. Had the lemon tart for dessert with an americano, all very nicely done with very attentive service. Top marks so far and I can't wait to come again. Making a menu choice was really difficult and there are items on this menu that Calgary has never or very rarely seen, even at the other French restaurants in town. Bravo, I'll be back!
I was really excited for this restaurant to open up. I love the atmosphere and the interior of the restaurant. Food is great. My favourite dish from here is the tartare. Servers are very well trained and polite. Had a wonderful experience.
Sublime cuisine, friendly service which needs a little tweaking. Tried this brasserie only five days after it opened. Very french atmosphere with excellent food. The salads parc was one of the best we've tried. Prices are high but worth it. Everything was delicious.. Foie gras au torchon , tarte Alsatian, gnocchi, mussels were all fabulous.
Service could use some pointers. First of all we ordered a 2008 Pinot and a 2012 was brought without any sxplanstion. We did notice. Then the plstes were cleared away a little too promotly while some of us had not finished; also the cutlery was replaced incorrectly. Friendly tho and would definitely go back.
Fills a need in Calgary's dining scene. We dined here on their 3rd day open and it was great from start to finish. The steak tartare was perfectly 'mustardy' and I've never met a quail egg I don't love. The escargot is herbaceous and fresh, a nice change to the more traditional butter laden version. The chicken and steak frites were both perfectly cooked and a good portion size. Thorough wine list at a very approachable price point as well. Definitely fills a niche in the Calgary restaurant scene as an approachable french restaurant with thoughtful dishes and inviting atmosphere.
My friends and I had a few Old Fashions and some of their other cocktails which were really good. The bartenders were very attentive and patient with us since we stayed for quite a while. Great service, atmosphere and drinks. We will definitely go back soon!
