I was there last night for Oysters after a long 10 hour day of work. I was greeted and sat right away and the oyster special for the day was awesome, I ate 36 myself and the lemon pepper calamari, service was excellent as always, it's been 3 years since I've been here and am always impressed with the food and service, highly recommend to anyone

Great place! Just popped in for oysters and a glass of wine before attending a concert at the Dome. Highly recommend it. It was a little inconvenient to access because of road work on 17th Ave., but that's out of their control and it was still the well worth it! Will definitely go there again.
It was quiet when I went but it seems like it can be very lively and fun when it’s full. I didn’t try a lot of the menu mostly oysters. That’s why people come here of course and I can see why. The oysters were fresh and there were lots of choices. I tried the lobster cakes as well and wouldn’t recommend them, too chewy for my liking. The service was good. The wine list was very average.
I’d return for more oysters though.
Went for oysters and wine a while back. That's all I eat usually here! It's super fresh and there are always daily specials. I give it 5 stars BC it's the best oyster bar in Calgary imo.
Came here for the 2016 big taste. There is a good menu selection. I ordered the seafood linguine, stuffed mushroom and cheesecake for the three course meal. The linguine has a good amount of seafood but there wasn't enough flavor. My friend ordered the lamp chop and it was over cooked for him. The dessert and oyster was fine but the best part of the meal is the bread!!! The bread was friggin amazing... Perhaps I was that hungry? Maybe because bread is always good? Perhaps they juiced it with a hidden secret ingredient? Heck, it might even be those cheap ones that comes in packages of 20 that they just heated in the oven. Who cares! It was da bomb. The heavenly warmth of the white gluttonous blob glistening with the whipped butter you just spread melts in your mouth... And BAM next thing you know you already are 3 more...yum.
We came here Sunday night to celebrate my partner's birthday. We called to make reservations and we actually arrived early and they seated us right away.
Ordered a dozen oysters, half Paradise from BC and the other half Irish Point from PEI. I prefer the west coast. All the oysters come with the garlic, chilli topping which really enhanced the flavours of the oysters
I ordered the half rack of lamb and he ordered the seafood bowl. The rack of lamb did not disappoint! Ordered to medium rare and it was so moist and flavourful. I should've just ordered a full rack. The waitress convinced me otherwise (probably for the best). The seafood bowl had lots and lots of seafood and it was good but maybe need a little extra salt
Finished off with their house made tiramisu which was really dense and delicious.
I would really like to come back and try more oysters.
Parking is all on the street and it is actually across street from the casino. I love the exterior! It's a cute purple house.
The Embarcadero, the eastern waterfront of the Port of San Francisco, also an oyster bar stood on the east side of 17th Ave in Calgary. The restaurant is disguised as a home, which makes it so easy to miss. We’ve actually drove by it so many times in the past without notice. Kev and I were looking for restaurants for our “oyster-themed” date night and came across The Embarcadero which offers $1.25 oysters all day everyday! That sweet deal has certainly enticed oyster-hungry people like us into visiting this unexplored gem in town.
A nice little restaurant in a home. Came here with some friends to try out the oysters. The $1.25 special is a great deal, the oysters are fresh and delicious. Our waitress was definitely a pro at her job. Check this place out if your near 17ave!
Went there for 1.25 oyster daily special. It is close to the stampede station. Good alternative way to get there instead of findding parking apot around. The oyster was fresh and delicious with many choices from west and east coast. The main dishes were awesome. Love the lamb rack and risotto.
Service is always friendly and welcoming. The place is quaint and the food is great. The calamari, sated oysters, potstickers, suicide wings and their honey mustard dip are so good that i usually order a bunch of appetizers and a drink rather than an entrée. To top it off i finish with the Grand Marnier chocolate mousse, made in house and fresh.
I've been here 3 times now and the food ceases to amaze me. The owner remembers your order and the menu by memory and strikes fun conversations with everyone. The 3rd time I came here was for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The only thing I would mention is that we requested a cozy booth during our reservation and they forgot about it. Otherwise, I loved everything about this place!
Went there for their $1.25 daily featured oysters. Though the malpeque cocktail oyster was small in size yet fresh and briny. Their housemade garnish and hot sauce were a must-try! Would come back to try their oyster platter.
Their buns were irresistibly soft and buttery! But their pasta was not as impressive. We had the cuban lobster tail angel hair pasta. The lobster was succulent and colossal. The problem was the bland, tasteless pasta sauce.
