Review The Nash - Calgary

J. G.
Really nice restaurant located in the Inglewood neighbourhood. Much larger than store front makes it look. Upon walking in some very nice decor and friendly staff. Seated quickly. Service was exceptional and pleasant. We did drinks appetizers and dinner. All we amazing. The wine selection has something for everyone. Much like the menu. Overall had a wonderful time and will definitely recommend to anyone.

Let's first say the restaurant is beautiful, the meal was good and our server was nice. But man, the hostess at the door, made me wonder if i ever stepped on her toe?! She was very blunt and unaccommodating to say the least. When we arrived at the table, I asked the hostess nicely if we can sit at the table beside the one she proposed because it was very bright for the eyes. She starred right back at me looking annoyed and insisted I sit at where she wanted. She bluntly said she would close the blinds and not another word to confirm if that would be okay with us. I appreciate about the movable blinds. I would do it myself if I knew about it. But the whole experience made me feel like it was my wrong doing to make her job so difficult which was just switching to the next empty table. I don't want to take the credit away for the rest of the staffs and chefs but I hope the Nash evaluates who to pick to greet the guests for first impression because the one I had was an absolute FAIL.

Sad it took me so long to go here. What a great spot. Tasty Cocktails, wide variety of menu options, everything we had to do fresh and tasty. I wanted a burger so bad but i had one for lunch that day. Just means I need to come back.

Amazing food and atmosphere. The service from everyone EXCEPT our server was amazing. He just brought the menu and we didn't see him again until the bill. Never checked to see if we liked the food, we had to ask another server for more water and another glass of wine. Overall great experience and would recommend but it's a shame we had a server that didn't care.

1st time here with a friend. The appetizer was confit garlic with feta cheese & bread. It tasted so good. The chicken Rissoto was super filling and tasty. The dessert was a cherry chocolate mousse. Not too rich but, just right! The service wasn't remarkable.

I’ve always loved Notable but never really thought about coming to The Nash. Really glad that I ended up here, because this restaurant is beautiful! Everything we ordered was delicious. Ribeye was cooked a little on the rare side but still good. Our server checked on us often and made sure we had drinks and whatever we needed.

My hubby and I were there 8/21 for a birthday dinner and we were not disappointed . We are a couple who like to eat out at least once a month and in the last year we were not able to do so. I tell you what, our first dinner out was outstanding . Our server, Mike was above and beyond with his service. Customer service is something I am very picky with. He passed with flying colors . Next, our food choices, Mike also gave us his recommendations and guess what they were on point. I want to say hands up to the Chef and all his staff, job well done on the dishes -taste, presentation, and warmth was all done exceptionally well . The music was so nice and smooth. Reminded me of being home in the states (south). Oh and that dessert, was on the money. Hands up and as we say in the south , “you put your foot in this”. Bravo Bravo Margaret and Don

Customer service was great! The frittata was a little over cooked. Toast would have been better in a toaster not on the grill. Ice cream was fantastic!!

The food is good but the menu is a bit boring.  I chose  the lunch set and it was soup or crab cake, then chicken wrap or veggie burger, and rhubarb pie to finish for $29.  On the regular menu is also full of very ordinary items: sandwiches of different kinds such as chicken, tuna, grilled cheese.  Certainly not a whole lot of interesting choices.  It's a nice dinning room with good enough service, and the food is honestly ok.  However at that price I'd rather see a more interesting menu.  I guess it's not my type of place for food.

I loved the food! It was really good. I ordered the Meat Off The Rotisserie and it was perfect! The place is cozy pretty..it was very busy and loud when we went though

I have been here on two occasions now - once for casual afternoon glass of wine and some appies a few months back and now for a full dinner.  My siblings and I took Momma Bear here for a delightful Mothers Day dinner.  <br/><br/>Afternoon appies was in the Off Cut Bar and was delightful - we shared the mussels & frites and the ahi tuna & charred pineapple poke. Both were delicious, our server was friendly and helpful, our group of 3 left feeling pleased with our choice.<br/><br/>Mother's Day Dinner - a night when perhaps I shouldn't be reviewing because it's not a true experience, but regardless, we had a great night and I wanted to share.  Right off the bat our server was lovely - she was extremely helpful with making suggestions based on some of the dietary restrictions at our table.  We ordered some appies to start - the Charcuterie board w/ cheese, the Josper Roasted Prawns & the grilled bread w/ white bean hummus.  The perfect amount of food to start for our group size, and my pregnant sister was THRILLED to enjoy the meats on the board since it is all house made there was no worry of danger from traditional "deli" meat.   A variety of mains and beverages were ordered, everyone was pleased with their choice - I had the roasted cod in a panang curry sauce and it was to die for.  I seriously could have sipped the sauce directly from the bowl.  The cod itself was cooked perfectly, though the potatoes it came with were slightly under cooked for my taste and fairly bland on their own.  Overall it was a great evening, we all left with our bellies full and zero complaints.  I look forward to visiting again to try out more things on the menu!

I’ve had a positive experience at the Nash one previous time before, so I was excited to visit again. <br/><br/>We ordered the rotisserie chicken dish and the lamb shank dish. The chicken was average (nothing special), and the outside of the lamb was dry. I would replace the beans with something softer and more flavourful. The consistency of the beans did not compliment the lamb. <br/><br/>Our server was friendly but it took her an unacceptable amount of time to bring my drink.

Terrible food and terrible service. We went for brunch, it took almost an hour to get our food. Almost everyone's meal was cold and none of the meals came out at the same time. Everyone had finished eating before 1 girl got her food. We had to track down the waitress and ask her to bring it in a to go box. There was no apology and no explanation. They just acted like it was normal.

My husband said this was easily one of the best burgers he’s ever had. Overall, great experience! Staff seems to be knowledgeable, the atmosphere is nice. I’ve been to the place once since (the photos are from earlier this year), and enjoyed it just as much.

After waiting 40 mins for breakfast (2 people), table that was sat after we ordered got their food. We had to flag down someone to ask them what was going on. No effort was made to rectify the situation so we left. Disappointing especially given the price point of the menu.<br/>

Delicious brunch! Beautiful room and excellent service. I have not been here for dinner yet. Highly recommend the steelhead & avocado eggs Benedict.

Well, I'll start with the positives. The place looks great. It is well spaced out and the decor is interesting, without being distracting. The food was tasty, though pricey. Our meal for 6 people was $400, which included wine and 2 appetizers.<br/><br/>Here is the down-side, and it's a big one. Someone in my party ordered the rotisserie chicken, which apparently tasted great. However, this person became violently ill later that night (symptoms started about 6 hrs after eating). I will spare you some of the details, but after having passed out, an ambulance was needed to take a trip to the hospital. The paramedics and the doctor in the ER all suggested that it was most likely a result of the chicken dinner from The Nash, as the incident occurred within the suggested time guidelines for salmonella food poisoning (6-72 hrs after ingestion). They also noted that it was the only different meal the ill person had eaten within the previous 3 days and no one else was sick.<br/><br/>I understand these things happen sometimes, in spite of any food safety precautions being taken. Although it is impossible to say for certain that the illness was from the chicken at The Nash, it is the most likely the scenario according to medical professionals. The next day we contacted The Nash after to let them know what happened, in case there were other cases or perhaps they like to keep track of these things. The 2 times we phoned no one answered so we emailed the guest relations staff member listed on their website. They did not respond for 4 days but when we finally got a hold of the manager on the phone he was familiar with our email, showing that they read it but chose not to respond. 30 mins after the phone call they did respond to the email where they essentially told us no comment and directed us to call Alberta Health Services. We specifically said in our email (and on the phone) that we don't want anything. We didn't even expect a complimentary meal. We asked for nothing.<br/><br/>They referred us to a health inspector, even though we never mentioned a desire to report this incident to AHS. When the person who was ill was contacted by AHS they ended the conversation feeling as though the only goal of the inspector was to convince her that the food poisoning could not possibly have come from The Nash, as they haven't had problems before. Does that mean they can't ever have problems? They even asked if we'd been cleaning any out any RV sewage containers lately, which no, we don't have an RV. Even though several different medical professionals gave the opinion that the chicken was the most likely and reasonable cause, the health inspector was very aggressive about why that couldn't be possible. We'll stick with what actual medical professionals told us. We weren't trying to report The Nash and it was not our motivation to bring it to a health inspector and to be honest I wouldn't bother reporting anything to a health inspector again after this experience with them. We just wanted to keep The Nash informed, in case they actually cared about customers' dining experiences. That was our mistake, though, as I certainly don't feel like they care about our well-being. They have not contacted us since, even though they said they would if we called AHS.<br/><br/>So...advice to The Nash: Just say, "Sorry to hear. Thanks for letting us know. We will look into it." If they'd done that, we would have said, "You're welcome." and that would have been the end of it. In the end, they showed essentially zero empathy and demonstrated a level of customer service that I consider below a typical fast food chain restaurant. They were rude, pretentious, defensive, and no one from our party will ever go back. I advise you to not go here either if those things are important to you.<br/>

We went to Nash for a special occasion and my partner ordered their "Halibut, Expensive As Can Be" (direct quote from their menu). We were prepared to pay the $48 for the fish dish assuming it would be as good as the food at Notable. Well what a disappointment. It was cold, not well seasoned and generally not delicious. AND SUPER SMALL! Not worth the money. We would have sent it back but our server was gone for a long time and it would have meant eating separately. <br/><br/>I had the prime rib special and it was good. Not mind-blowing or bad, just good. <br/><br/>We think maybe one of the multiple rotisserie dishes would be a safe bet. That's what we'll try if we go again.

The food and service here is amazing. Everything from the fire cook naan bread to the pasta with squash in it.<br/>If you're able to request a waiter I suggest Bjorn.

Amazing food and pleasant ambiance. All the dishes we ordered were original and well prepared. The cocktails were good and so was the wine. All around a really really good restaurant.

I was here for the Big Taste lunch and the food was very good. I would've given them a 5/5, but there was a few issues with service. We arrived just a few minutes past their opening time of 11:30, only to find that they weren't open yet. The hostess let us wait inside and it was probably at least 5 minutes later when they actually opened. Another issue with service was that a couple of tables had their orders mixed up and then there was some confusion as to who ordered what. I'm assuming this normally isn't an issue, but with Big Taste going on, everyone in the restaurant was ordering the same few things.
Time2Dine
Okay, but serious flaws. My burger was good but no one offered me the garlic aioli or ketchup for my fries. EVERYONE gets charged $1.50 for water whether you get any, one glass or beg your waitress for a second glass. I was told to pick my alcohol for the Old Fashioned drink and found out on my bill that it was $3 more. That's fine, just tell your customers what the deal is. The service is pretty bad in the lounge, hopefully better in the dining room. Regardless, we won't be back.

Second visit...<br/><br/>I had been here once before and left underwhelmed, so I came back this time to verify my thoughts. It was underwhelming. <br/><br/>The servers all wear black t-shirts and have a very casual dining table side manner. They don't know the cocktail or wine lists and the food specials are generally read off a coil notebook. Neither servers knew much about the menu, either.  <br/><br/>The food is alright, but falls in line with what you would expect if you showed up out of a blue for dinner at a friend's house. Definitely worth eating, but not at this price point. <br/><br/>The Nash isn't terrible, but it's definitely low on my list of places to eat; I would place them below Earls and well below similarly priced restaurants like Model Milk, Blink, or Work Shop. I don't plan to return. <br/><br/>First visit...<br/><br/> Overall I will return, but primarily for the location and atmosphere as the food and service were nothing spectacular. "Inventive dishes in a re-invented space" is a considerable stretch.<br/><br/>For the main course we had the pork belly and the duck along with a bottle of red wine. Both dishes were done quite well, but both dishes lacked anything unique... the side fingerling potatoes and Brussel sprouts were 100% the same as what I would cook at home on a busy Tuesday night. The duck lacked seasoning beyond salt and pepper, and was fairly overdone in the outer pieces. It was good, but nothing I would be proud to serve guests in my own kitchen.<br/><br/>We sat at the rotisserie bar which was a really interesting spot, but it was also insanely hot... so unless you can handle the heat I would suggest sitting elsewhere. Several of the chairs had burn marks in the fabric, so I would caution against dressing nice. The rest of the dining room was very nice and lively, which boosted my rating and would be the prime reason for me to return.<br/><br/>The service was vasty below any restaurant at this price point in Calgary. She didn't know the cocktail or wine lists, and when asked about the main course she offered nothing meaningful to help us decide. After the bill was settled we received no service whatsoever, which made the generous (and undeserving tip) more regrettable.
Hitting The Sauce
Veronica and I shared the special appetizer of the day – homemade ravioli with egg yolk, peas and mushrooms ($13). This was one of the best dishes I’ve tried in my life.

Visited the Nash with family in town a couple of weeks ago. My family who had left Calgary in the 70's were immediately enthralled with the historic touches and nods to the past only having your restaurant located in a historic hotel with stories to tell can bring. I appreciated the light contrast of the decor to the darker motifs of sister restaurant Notable. The food consumed: Bison, Duck, Steelhead, and Pork Belly were all prepared well and delicious as composed meals with just the slightest hint of over seasoning. The real star of the dinner was the meat and interesting cheeses charcuterie board appetizer, a delightful throw back to popular boards you would find at Farm in its hay day. The price point was in line with notable and the food was almost right there, but just half a step off point. I will happily return in the future and make a point to bring those with an eye for history as well as culinary events. 4.5 reconditioned formerly dank hotels out of 5.

I really enjoyed the ambience and the service. The food, however, was nothing special. I wouldn't say it's off putting, but it isn't spectacular either for the price.

Lots of parking. Good start. Nice building and an even nicer interior. Great food. Great service. Loved everything. Michael Noble really cares about his craft and it shows. And the bread...you'll need a 12 step program to get off of the bread. Inglewood never looked so good.

I highly recommend this restaurant this was the best meal I've had in Calgary so far! I ordered the halibut in pork broth with the risotto ( amazing!) my husband and sister ordered the pork belly and scallops, food was cooked to perfection absolutely no complaints. We had the steak tartare to start and finished with the milk chocolate and sponge candy for dessert. We will definitely be making another reservation again soon!

Consistently one of the best restaurants in Calgary... Drinks are spectacular, had a buckskin sour, soup of the day and the garganelli ragout... Pasta is home made and you can definitely taste the difference... Sauce was just right... Fantastic and a suitably large portion... Great attentive service and a cool, hip atmosphere makes for a great experience...

Really wonderful Mothersday Lunch and menu. We had excellent service and wonderful food. The restaurant catered very well to our needs and the soup, oh good lord the soup! Velvety gorgeous corn and chorizo, I am going to crave that for months to come!! The wine was perfect too. Very happy with our choice!

excellent service and experience! Catherine was our server and did a great job. Steak was well prepared and very marbly. Our appetizers (hummus and pita) was very tasty and fresh. Kale salad was excellent and dressing not too heavy. Pork chop special was ridiculously large and well priced - juicy and flavorful too. I'll go back!

A few months ago, we had a night out at The Nash. My boyfriend had gone here once before and couldn't stop talking about it so I was overly excited when he told me he had made reservations. It was a short 5 minute drive for us from the condo to the restaurant - perks of living in Inglewood! For those of you who don't know, there's a bit of history behind where The Nash stands. The National Hotel (1907) once stood there and The Nash is what used to be the hotel's first floor. Once you step into The Nash, you are greeted by warm and classy decor. The furniture is timeless and sophisticated - I was having major decor inspo attacks right when we walked in. There's a bar to the right of the main doors, Off Cut Bar. That night it was buzzing with people as there was a corporate holiday party being hosted in that area. We'll have to come back another time to enjoy some drinks in there!

Nash had a pleasant spacious atmosphere. Our server did a fantastic job of assisting us with our order and the menu. The food was excellently prepared and presented. I was impressed by the veggies as they usually are half asses at places which boast of rotisserie. But, they seemed to get as much attention as the meat! Well done.

I am not sure what other people had ordered at The Nash that made their experience so astounding and phenomenal. We visited there at lunch, had the beef brisket sandwich which turned out to be too heavily flavored and overwhelming. The pappardelle with guanciale was decent and delightful. However, we were greatly disappointed by the ridiculously hard, handcrafted macaron, which the pastry chef explained it was due to the ingredient - egg white. I found that explanation unacceptable - which macarons are not made out of egg white? This is by far the worst macarons I have ever tasted in my whole life. Will not recommend anyone to go there.

Went to the Nash for brunch today and it was amazing.  We have had uneven meals at NOtable so were a bit skeptical, however our brunch was delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.    There is a large parking lot behind the restaurant and plenty of parking on evenings and weekends, which is a huge plus .  The main reason why we don't do a lot of downtown restaurants is lack of convenient parking.  <br/>The menu is interesting and inventive; we started off our brunch with the too-tempting house-made cinnamon bun.  This was worth a visit to the Nash in itself; fresh, oozing with not-too-sweet cream cheese icing and cinnamon flavoured syrup, we scarfed it down very quickly.  We both had the poutine beef hash and we noticed the entree sizes are excellent - not too small, but not too big that you can't build a long lazy brunch off of.   The beef in the hash just melted in our mouth with plenty of well-cooked fingerling potatoes, mushrooms and stretchy melted cheese.    The server was friendly, professional and knowledgeable of the menu.<br/><br/>The room is great;  good music, not too noisy but enough buzz, quiet decor and colours, plus enough room to ogle your neighbour's meal but carry on a private conversation.   The only downside is only one washroom for men and women on the main floor, I would expect from the original building plan.  There is a roomy washroom in the basement after a slightly confusing trip through the bar, out into the main building, and then down a flight a stairs.  <br/><br/>We only hope that the Nash will continue to deliver a great brunch, which can be tricky to find in this city without sitting in long lineups, reservations were easy to make.   This is going to be our new  go-to brunch  place.

This place is DELICIOUS!! My husband and I came for a dinner date on the same night Off Cut Bar(the adjoining bar to the Nash) was having live blues(every Thursday evening). We had the mussels and frites(seriously the best fries I've had, and the mussels were huge!) and the daily grill(tender pork loin, moist and tasty!) with the risotto(red pepper and marscapone cheese). Bread pudding for dessert-yum! Warm and friendly atmosphere, and even on a weeknight the place was packed. Can't keep peeps away from good food!!

We came here for Valentine's Day dinner. To start with, the service was great. Our server was quite knowledgable, our glasses were always full and she was very friendly. The food was hit and miss. We started with a charcuterie board, which seemed expensive, until it came out and we saw how huge it was. They didn't skimp on any of the servings. Everything on the board was delicious. Unfortunately, that set us up for high expectations for the mains. We ordered the lamb and the pork belly. They were quite a let down. There was nothing inherently wrong with them, they were just very average (especially for the high cost of each). Let's just say we've had much better of these dishes at much lower prices. Luckily they redeemed themselves a little bit with the desserts which were brioche bread pudding and dark chocolate mousse. The actual setting of the restaurant is really cool and they played awesome old school tunes throughout the night to fit the setting of the old National Hotel.
Corner Deuce
We loved it. Went late night, got a spot on the kitchen bar right by the wood fired grill. Loved watching the action. The service was top notch. She was very genuinely friendly, knowledgeable about the food. Very descriptive. The plates were well put together. Lots going on with technique and flavors but comforting delicious if that makes sense. Had the pork belly and scallops. Done perfectly. The beet salad was awesome. Beets done several ways and loved the beet gelato. Dessert was interesting. Very cool presentation. Will be back to try more and hit up the lounge menu too. .

My husband and I came here for lunch with our moms. Stumbled upon this place since we were in the neighbor. The decor is very modern, bright and open. We didn't have a reservation so ended up in the bar section which had the same menu as the dining area. The server advise us of the daily specials and we ordered right away. The food was delicious. I had the porchetta and brie sandwich with soup which I was very happy with. My hubby and his mom got the reuben sand and it came with chips and my mom got the beef brisket poutine hash which everyone enjoyed. Would definitely come back again!

I really love the Nash. This is a great restaurant for gourmet food and unique, interesting drinks. I have eaten here four times and have loved it every time.

Went for lunch with a client and it could not have been better. Excellent meal, excellent wine and excellent service. A little pricey, but highly recommended.
Beauty & The Beets
This is the second time I've been to Nash. <br/>This time it was a lunch time work function. I must say the location is great and the decor is beautiful. <br/>The service was slow considering it was not busy at the time. I think it took 20-25 minutes before I had my cocktail delivered , while someone else at the table received her second one?! <br/>It took forever for the waitress to get around to take our orders, I guess it was a bother to do so. It was LUNCH people not a midnight snack !<br/>We had the ahi tuna salad, excellent. The quarter chicken and the chocolate dessert. My partner had the chicken and kale salad , the hamburger and the citrus dessert , again excellent.<br/>What Mr Noble needs to do is have their staff trained properly in customer service Instead of socializing with each other. <br/>When are Calgary servers going to realize I and all the other restaurant goers, do not like to made to feel that someone is doing us a favour when we are in an establishment. <br/>Please work on your customer service ! The food is very good , make it a better experience all round.

I don't even know where to begin. My first impression was: wow! This restaurant has an epic location at a heritage building in Inglewood. The interior is magnificent. That's where the compliments stop though. <br/>My friends and I almost walked out 🚶due to the HORRIBLE service. 15 minutes after being seated before we received water, 45 minutes after being seated before we were asked what we would like to drink?!! Should've ran out at that point 🏃!! It was another 45 minutes before we were checked on and asked what we would like to order. We ordered our appy and mains at the same time as we did not know when our server would ever return again. She did return with our appy and half of our main dishes at the SAME time! She said 'oops sorry I screwed up. Just have your appetizer with your main.' WTF??! I ordered a second glass of wine that never did come. My friend ordered a beautifully grilled whole fish 🐟 that was to be filleted at the table. It was butchered by a steak knife .😔 (pictured below) The food was decent. 4 stars for the food. But the experience as a whole was so God awful that is was almost comical. <br/>Never again. <br/>PS do NOT sit at the rotisserie bar. You will melt.<br/>

Although we were here for brunch, you can eat here at all times of the day. I absolutely love the interior design of the restaurant in the old building. The only problem is the low ceiling results in a very loud area. We started off with the Must Have Cinnamon Roll which changes every weekend, today was praline and chocolate and obviously it was delicious. It was fairly big and we were able to share it between 5 people. I then had the Duck Confit Perogies which is topped with caramelized onions and truffle hollandaise. I highly recommended this if you go!
J.Chews
This historic restaurant is one of my favourites in terms of decor and overall ambience. Located in one of Calgary's oldest neighbourhoods, the Nash offers a contemporary dining space that makes you feel right at home, with a fantastic menu to match. I would recommend the duck confit perogies, which is a brunch special well worth making the trip for. The perogies were cooked softly, with tender pieces of duck confit, all topped with a gently poached egg, and finished with a truffle hollandaise, creating an amazing savoury experience with each bite. One piece of feedback though, is that I found the service to be a bit on the slower side, not that I minded, but just a heads up for people expecting a quick meal. The Nash also offers live music at different times, making this an enjoyable place to sit back and relax as well. Hope to see the Nash continue to impress!

We also got the roasted asparagus with prosciutto, egg, bacon, preserved lemon, and parm foam to start. THIS is what I'm talking about when I said spring flavors. I'm going to say this about everything that we had, but I don't know which part of this dish was my favorite. It all just went so well and was so, so, SO good. It makes me wish I could cook like that. For my main, I had bison with cocoa sauce, brown butter yams, asparagus and cipollini. My favorite part of this dish was definitely the yams, because what isn't freaking amazing with brown butter? I'm not sure if I've ever had bison before, and this definitely didn't disappoint. The cocoa sauce was really interesting and paired perfectly with the bison. Pictured above is a chestnut babba with porcini ice cream, cassis, and whiskey pearls. The most obscure part of this of course being the porcini ice cream, which was a lot more understated that I had expected it to be. Cassis is my favorite—I really love it's tang, and that's what really took the stage with this dish. Shown below is a a 72% chocolate mousse, crispies, dulche de leche, and milk sorbet. I don't know what else to say about this other than if I could eat one thing for the rest of my life it would be chocolate, so this is right up my alley and EXACTLY what I needed. The outer coating is dark chocolate, with more of a milk chocolate through the center. Amazing. Enough said. <br/><br/>I also worked my way through two cocktails over the course of the evening, but didn't snap any photos and can't really remember a description. They were really wonderful though. Very boozy, but made in a manner that you couldn't really taste the booze. I'd call them dangerous. Next time, I'll definitely grab some descriptions of those. <br/>All in all, dinner at the Nash was absolutely wonderful. I'd go so far as to say that it's my favorite meal since Revel in Seattle, which is my all-time favorite meal. The fresh flavors and really just the thought that went into the creation of these dishes really hit home with me, and we will definitely be going back again soon.
For The Love Of...
The meal was by no means perfect (see last paragraph), but sometimes the strength of one dish can shape your entire perception of a meal.We started off our evening with a generous bowl of steamed PEI mussels in a spicy chorizo broth. The pairing of shellfish and pork is a classic one and the chorizo (although a bit on the tough side) made for a spicy counterpoint to the plump mussels. The frites served alongside were sprinkled with herbs and were crispy enough that they retained their crunch even after sopping up the delicious broth. Please see our blog for full details & pics.

Never disappoints! I've been here for lunch and dinner- both times the meals were extraordinary. Try the moules et frites at lunch- ask for some extra bread to sop up the delicious sauce that's leftover once the mussels are all done!!
For The Love Of...
This was our first time at the Nash. The service was decent and the food good at the time. Unfortunately I got food poisoning from either the mussels or branzino. I was sick all night a few hours after the meal. I sent a message to management in case this was something that could be prevented in the future but I haven't received a reply yet, almost a week later. This reminds us of the time we booked a reservation at Notable (same ownership) for Valentine's Day weeks in advance, only to discover our reservation did not exist when we called to confirm it. We like the food but wish things were better on the service/customer service front. Full review and pictures on the blog to come.

Came for opening night and came back another day for lunch. Service was great, we didn't make a reso for lunch but were given a few options since it was full. Ended up getting in right away and sat down for lunch.<br/><br/>My lunch date and I both ordered the pulled rotisserie chicken sandwich. She had hers with fries and I had salad. While the salad was good I was in a fry mood lol and her's were fabulous!! Next time it's fries for me! The sandwiches were tasty, the restaurant gorgeous.<br/><br/>Looking forward to bringing my husband along next time!

Had a fabulous night at the Nash. I had the duck, which was amazing. My boyfriend had the rib eye steak, which was also delicious. We got a side of fries, which were tasty as well. Finished it off with the decadent chocolate mousse. Service was nice, though the bar was really "backed up" that night, which means the drinks took quite a while. Lovely atmosphere, look forward to returning.

Great meal at Nash tonight. I enjoyed a duo of lamb and the wife had the chicken. We shared a side of the spring pea risotto. Everything was excellent, the risotto was the weak link. The decor is pretty uninspiring and the noise level is somewhat hard to handle. Service was incredible and on point.

The greatest thing the Nash ever taught us... Is just to love, and be loved in return...<br/><br/>Also, to love their food... They taught us that....

I really like the cocktails at Nash (especially when Kate preps them): they are bit pricy, but pretty strong and their Hotel National is delicious!<br/>I mostly enjoy having a bit at the Off Cut Bar, it's more relaxed than the main dining room, and the food is just as awesome! On the picture you'll find their burger for the AB Burger Fest contest: pulled pork, foie gras, wild boar bacon brioche, with home made mustard and apple & date relish... great one!

Tried the place for brunch with my boyfriend since he'd been wanting to try it for a while now. We were not dissapointed! We got the perogies and the breakfast poutine, and although the cinnamon bun is a starter, we got it as dessert. The food was all absolutely amazing. Who knew perogies and egg went so well together. We each got a momosa and a caeser which is where the place lost 1 point,in my view. The mimosas are really small and the clamato juice is weird.. I think it may be made in house. Very salty and thick. I'd rather they stick to traditional caesers

Tess and Alex go to Nash for their Anniversary<br/><br/>This was once of my most favourite meals ever! <br/><br/>Being big fans of NOtaBLE we were really excited to come here! We walked into a beautiful bright restaurant with crisp clean decor, almost like a modern cottage kitchen. So happy to see a non industrial themed place!<br/><br/>We had a wonderful server who was friendly and knowledgeable. <br/><br/>We started with the Quebec Fois Gras Press which was creamy and delicious and went wonderfully with all the different types of fruit that came with it. We also had the daily bread which was good, but would have made more sense served warm being such a high quality baked good. That is the tiniest of tiny complaints though. <br/><br/>I had the 4K Farms Berkshire Pork and it was for sure one of my top 5 favourite meals of all time! Every bite was perfect! The pork was cooked perfectly,  the veggies were crispy, the maple sauce was a perfect pairing, and the little soufflé was delectable! A perfect dish.<br/><br/>My boyfriend had the Roasted Duck Breast, which may not have been as good as mine, but was still completely amazing. Perfectly crispy skinned duck breast matched up with sweet and sour cherries, and melt in your mouth cherry meringues.  Yum. Another perfect dish.<br/><br/>We finished with the 72% Chocolate Mousse which was chocolatey, caramely, crunchy, salty and sweet. A lovely combination! <br/><br/>I cannot wait to go back!<br/><br/>GO.

This place is always bustling and has a great atmosphere for a delicious meal. The open kitchen concept keeps it interesting and the food is good! Service is great as well - servers are polite, friendly, and don`t mind giving recommendations.

I've visited this restaurant several times and have always had a great experience. The menu offers interesting and exciting variety somewhat locally sourced and the service is professional. I highly recommend the petit sweets for two dessert as a finishing touch. Hopefully it comes with the wasabi macaroons, which sound terrible but I assure you are quite amazing. Regardless this small dessert sampler is great to share with the table (we shared it between 4 people). Cocktails are a must have as well.

Love the decor. Had brunch with some friends: mussels and frites; hangover breakfast pizza; duck confit perogies with poached eggs (eggs a little over done); and chicken and waffles. Good service from the waitress. Took awhile for food to arrive though.

Fabulous food, gorgeous space, and staff and menu make this a very approachable fine dining experience. Love it, and depending on the occasion I've thoroughly enjoyed both the main restaurant (with wife) and the bar (for bachelor party dinner).

Guys go to Nash for good food. I just ate appitisers. The cheddar bun was really good but the scallop ceviche was out of this world at Nash! The last few bites was really salty but I think that was my fault for adding so much salt to it near the end because the first bites were not salty at all. Old fashon drinks were reaaaly great but eventually I had to go to the bathroom which is downstairs but still really clean so they still clean it regularly.<br/><br/>Lets start following me and meet up if you want (girls only please) <br/>

We came here for brunch, this was my first time. I've heard great things about Nash as it is the same owner as Notable. I ordered the chicken & waffle and my gf got the Perogies. I really like the design of the place and it feels very rustic and nice. We reserved so we didnt have to wait for a table. The service was great as we wanted to switch tables because it was very bright where we were.<br/>Our dishes were really good. Strange but i really loved the multi grain toast, and i've been craving for some.<br/>I need to come back to try dinner.

I've been here twice and both times the daily bread has been delicious. My friend had the prime rib which she enjoyed. I had the simple fish which was good except our waitress wasn't the best at removing the bones so I spent more time removing the bones than enjoying the fish. Our waitress was nice and friendly but not very attentive and slow. I would come again for the food but service is a big part of the experience.

I love the Nash! It's nice to see this cool building go through a revitalization. I've sat in the dining room, in the lounge, at the bar and viewing the kitchen and I must say I love them all. Some of my highlights are Ossobucco, the honey comb on the charcuterie board, the cocktail list and sitting front row watching the chefs in the kitchen!
Calgary_Foodie_YYC
I've paid a couple of visits now for lunch and the experience has been fairly positive. The service is good, servers are attentive and the food is tasty. The only downside is the slightly long wait for food.. Its probably about 10 minutes longer than it should be across the board and a quick glance around shows most diners are in the same boat. Nonetheless, a great place to dine, great nostalgia and comfortable.<br/>The food has been spot on and the menu is quite diverse and not just based on the rotisserie chicken that Chef Noble has become famous for.
Lillibet
Very pricey and small portion sizes, but it's good food in general. Tried out a bunch of items and all were very tasty, with the exception of the tuna tar tar. It was just quite flavorless, but granted I'm a bit of a tuna snob so others might like it. Service was great as well, I would recommend giving the place a try.

Looks a bit different than it used to.... If you were ever in the National hotel to catch live music in the 80's or 90's - you will have a hard time believing you're in the same space. New layout is gorgeous. Very impressive. Our group of four enjoyed our food. I had the duck - I'd give it a 7/10. My wife had the bison and she thought it was some of the best bison she'd had. Service was a bit scattered but friendly and attentive. My only quibble is that I thought it was a bit pricey for what you were served. Maybe I'm in the minority but, at these prices, this restaurant gets put into the 'special occasion' category rather than the 'old reliable' category.

Food has no flavor and is over priced. Went to try this out a week last weekend. Long and short is . We left after our appetizers that were tasteless, great presentation, great service.<br/><br/>We ordered the ceviche and beet salad and they were presented nicely but there wan\t even a whole beet on the beet salad and the ceviche had no flavor other than a fishy taste. We ended up leaving and having a great dinner at another restaurant down the street.<br/><br/> Definitely will not be back.

Good food, disappointing service.. Myself and two friends went for dinner tonight. We waited well over 35 min for our table, despite having a reservation. We thought they might send a free appy or drink our way for waiting so long but this did not happen. The service was very slow. They were out of three dishes, one of them being the dessert we ordered. The dessert choices were limited as some of them were way too wild for us (foie gras ice cream) so we decided not to get a dessert. Our bill was wrong and at that point we were tired and were ready to go, but it was still a wait to have it corrected. Overall delicious food but we won't be back.

Great Restaurant. First time here. Loved the ambiance. Food was creative and flavourful. Will be back.

Fantastic food, amazing service.. I've been twice now, and at first I was put off by all the negative reviews. This is pretty close to a fine dining restaurant, so expect the price tag to be higher and the portion sizes to be small. If you wanted huge portion sizes go to Joeys. <br/><br/>I am a vegetarian, and at first glance, there was almost nothing on the menu for me. I asked my server what they could do and he said that there was a main course option for vegetarians that isn't on the menu. I went with that and it was AMAZING! All my friends tried it too and said it was better than their bison or flank. Not to discredit those as they assured me they were also amazing.<br/><br/>Anyways, don't pay too much attention to the negative reviews on portion sizes. Those people obviously didn't know what they were signing up for when they made their reso.
Jon Lin
Wow expensive, and unfortunately underwhelming. If you're a fan of Notable, then you'll like it. If not, don't expect anything too different. <br/><br/>Restaurant is noisy, expect socializing on a table of 6 to be difficult. The appetizer of spaghetti and lobster was very good, almost borderline gluggy. Perhaps a fault of mine to order, but the simple fish (in this case, spring trout) was simply too much fish for a main - i felt like I was eating a fish beside a river because thats all I caught and was able to eat. The prime rib (off the rotisserie) was fairly ordinary.<br/><br/>Fries were quite nice. Nice to impress someone, but to use your own money to come here hurts a bit.
Bobby Tulio
The higher the price the more you expect. At the price range it competes in, good just doesn't cut it and Nash simply does not deliver. There is at least a dozen restaurants who can provide a better dining experience, food and ambiance wise, than this place. If Michael Noble wasn't behind this restaurant, it would not have the traction it gets. The service was in attentive and its a good thing it's close to a lot of other restaurants in the area where you can grab a snack because the portion size is inadequate.

Lively atmosphere, decent service, food is okay. I went to Nash with a couple of friends for dinner last week. We looked at the menu online before we arrived and we all noticed that the price tag was a bit on the high side, but we figured the quality and portion sizes would justify it. We walked in and there were a couple of parties waiting for their table so we checked in for our 7:30 reservation. We waited for a few minutes and they showed us to a nice table. The server came by almost immediately and took our drink order. I ordered the rotisserie chicken, my friend ordered the porchetta feature and my other friend the flat iron steak, med rare. My entree was prepared perfectly but the portion size was disappointing. It was a half of a chicken breast sliced lengthwise so there were basically two chicken "wedges" on the plate, plus a little bit of cut up asparagus and two fried potato-like spheres the size of golf balls ($29). Unfortunately it wasn't enough to fill me up so I had a slice of my friend's steak, which was flavourful but a bit too rare for her. My other friend said his porchetta tasted bland, that he was expecting something much more smoky because it was cooked on the rotisserie. I might come back for another try but I will wait until the reviews improve.

I'm another one puzzled by the negative reviews. Lunch was great as was the service, speed, atmosphere, etc. I wouldn't say it's too pricey either - about right for Calgary.

Recommended. Solo at the bar. Service was professional and friendly. Good cocktail to start. Good wine recommendations. Beet salad wasn't as tasty as it was pretty - but it was very very pretty. A tasty burger. A warm and welcoming room. Will be back for sure.

Love the Seafood. The lobster spaghetti was so buttery and flavorful. Love the fresh pasta! The octopus and avocado appie was to die for and the whole fish deboned at the table was a memorable meal!

I don't get these spots. I don't own a restaurant so I'm not going to be excrusiatingly negative (as always). Just didn't deliver. Kept it simple, Burger, Gnocchi, Beet Salad and Tartar. Nothing hit right. Burger especially stood out, Rosemary bun was the only taste that hit.... just not right. Gnocchi was way way off. Not much else to say, NoTable wasn't for me, Nash isn't for me, seems to work for everyone else. So be it.

Amazing! Great brunch!. I have no idea where the negative reviews are coming from. We dined 2 weeks ago on a sunday at 1:30 pm, we called that morning and got in. A table of 4 plus 6 month old infant. We had the waffle and chicken, which was great. The chicken was moist and left 2 of our party wanting more! My chicken sandwich was tasty and the chicken was moist. My friend had the brunch steak with chimicurri sauce and proclaimed it was the best steak he had ever had. The service was really quick and the atmosphere was awesome! We had live music for our outing and the singer sang an interesting acoustic version of no diggity by blackstreet. It took us all back to our youth! Awesome experience, great food, and a superb atmosphere.

Love the food here. The food came at a good time and service was excellent. I ordered the hangover breakfast pizza and added bacon and AMAZING!!!! The dish is a shareable size with a friend because it was very filling but soo good.
Kjelti
Brunch service super slow and unfriendly. The restaurant was not full by any stretch of the imagination. Our server took a very long time to take out order. And it took an even longer time to come out. And when it did, one dish was cool and had clearly been sitting. Disappointing.

Spectacular! Magical! Food was great... The music and the ambiance were great! And our server Bjorn made the whole experience one in million ☺️

Great experience!. I'm surprised at the amount of negative reviews. I had great service and excellent food. Any time I go to a restaurant I ask what the favourites are. Every restaurant has some dishes they do better than others. When their eyes light up describing the dish you know you have a winner. I sat at the kitchen bar as I love the rhythm of the kitchen. The waitress was attentive without being intrusive. Everything was made in house. The ingredients were fresh. The flavours were amazing. I wanted a smallish meal so I ordered the spaghetti with butter poached lobster starter and veggies (maple brussels sprouts) for a side. The lobster was flavourful and cooked perfectly. I have a weakness for house made pasta. It did not disappoint. The brussels sprouts were sweet and savoury with the perfect texture. I will definitely be back.

Very good bison short ribs; good service and good wine!

Mixed food.... Went there a few weeks ago, so menu may have changed since. Very bizarre and tasteless black risotto with entirely pedestrian shrimp. Thick layer of dry breadcrumbs made the dish inedible. <br/><br/>Bison steak was better, but blueberry butter sauce was off-puttting. Sponge cake tasted almost artificial.

Good atmosphere, good service, food still needs a lot of work.. My fiance and I had dinner here on Valentines Day, and overall our experience was positive. Considering it was a busy night, we were sat earlier than the time we had made a reservation for, so that was great, and the kitchen and bar were both running on time so we didn't have to wait too long for our food. Our server was also personable and fun to talk to, and seemed knowledgeable about the food. We ordered the daily bread and the gnochetti to start. The bread was great, fresh and full of flavor. The gnochetti had good flavor as well, but the portion size we received was so laughable that I was surprised that the waiter brought it to us with a straight face. Considering it was $14, we expected more than a cup of food on the plate, and we felt pretty ridiculous trying to share it. My fiance ordered the the evening's special, which was a beef short rib and a tenderloin with some potato/crab concoction. The short rib was good, it fell apart with a fork and was full of flavour, but the tenderloin was pretty basic. I had the striploin, which the menu said came with chimichuri, frites, arugula. It arrived as an unseasoned steak with 2 heaping tablespoons of way-too-garlicy chimichuri on top, a bowl of boring fries, and kale (not arugula.) Both steaks were cooked properly, but that's pretty much where the good news ends. We decided to skip dessert. Overall, would return and give it another shot, but not in a hurry to do so.

A Glorious Piece of Gluten. I would personally like to thank Chef Michael Noble for his fresh daily offering of bread at the Nash. It is truly pushing the boundaries of baking to go to Safeway each night, take the last of the stale ciabattas from the grab bin, and then put them on a plate next to a scoop of plain butter with a sprig of parsley for the bargain basement deal of $8. Writing this review was incredibly difficult, not because of just how incredibly awful the food was, but because I have a torn rotator cuff from trying to break the bread into two pieces so that my partner and I could share it.

Very impressed. Great first experience and I know it will get even better with time. Will be returning again and again.

Our meal was incredible. The octopus to start was perfectly prepared. My husband's scallops were incredible, as was my duck. I highly recommend. Great service and atmosphere too.

Great dinner. My wife and a couple of friends (also celebrating a birthday) decided to give the Nash a try on a Sunday night. A very pleasant atmosphere and very appealing room. Great service and wonderful food. Eveyone was pleased and commented on visiting again. A few minor service issues but Harley worth mentioning. Definitely going back again.

Nash Restaurant. We dined at Nash for the first time. The room is impressive - very trendy lighting, beautiful tables. Upon arrival, the hostesses did not offer to take our coats and we waited for a few minutes while they figured out where we were sitting. They were not very impressive. I've had this experience at Noteable as well. I think they would benefit from having more mature and welcoming staff to greet customers.. <br/><br/>We had a great table. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the wine. She offered us water right away but did not take our drink order for about 20 minutes. The food was beautifully presented, very flavorful. Some of the highlights were the beet root salad that showcased a beet sorbet! The octopus with avocado puree and gnochetti melted in your mouth. Two of us had the market fish - rainbow trout. This meal is a large portion - you do not need to order a side with it. The fish was de-boned at the table - Bjorn you are very skilled at deboning-hardly a bone to be found! The other folks enjoyed the Artic char and the duck breast.<br/><br/>We enjoyed our evening at Nash and will definitely go back again.

Cool bar, great resturaunt food. I went for drinks + dinner with girlfriends. The bar is awesome, dark in the best way with great decor + creative cocktails. I think their bar menu for food could use some improvement - more items of quality that can easily be shared. We orderd calamari sticks (because it was one of the only choices that seemed easy to share) and they were not very good, almost like something fozen you could cook at home.<br/><br/>Our dinner was fantastic, we each ordered a different protein (scallops, chicken, beef and the rotisserie) to share and a few sides (veggies, fries + risotto)- all of them were stellar and cooked perfectly. Our server was very helpful, quirky and enjoyable. We will be back!

Pricy but nice.. Tripel Karmeliet. I spent a year abroad in Belgium enjoying Belgian, German and Czech beers and was craving some TK. Luckily went into Nash and they sold each bottle for $10, so I treated my friend and I to a couple rounds. Will come back, if only for more Tripel.

Mixed feelings, but will give it another shot. I need to hold off on voting whether or not I like Nash until I go again. Reason being, while the dish I ordered isn't something I would ever get again, and I found the prices to be quite high for the portions received, the service actually kind of made up for it all. We didn't have a reservation and fully expected to be seated at the bar, but they hustled to find a table in the restaurant for us, which was very much appreciated. Our waiter (Burin) was kind and seemed very genuine. I ordered the fish special which was Rainbow Trout. The reason I ordered this was because they made a point of saying that it would be de-boned right at the table. The flavor and preparation of the fish was very good, but unfortunately, despite their best efforts at de-boning, there were far too many bones left for me to really enjoy it. My friend ordered the arctic char, which she said was well prepared and flavorful, but the small portion left her still hungry afterwards. All that being said, when the manager visited us, she was very responsive to our feedback and the appropriate reductions were made on our bill. Because of that, I would go back again.<br/>Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Food Quality/Taste/Preparation<br/>Cons: Portion size, Price

Great atmosphere, amazing brunch! Perogies were to die for.

All style, no substance.. A group of five of us went to Nash recently for a special occasion. Our first impressions were great. The restaurant itself is a beautiful space. Warm, inviting, modern yet elegant. Service was good, the staff all imbued with the hipster air of being part of something new and trendy. The problem however is that the menu is extremely limited. Most items are of the all too typical and somewhat boring "this is us reinterpreting old fashioned food" variety. It's a trend that is the epicurean equivalent of skinny jeans and hopefully near the end of running its course. Once our food arrived the real heartbreak began. In particular, my pork belly which was the rotisserie of the day offering, was one of the most underwhelming, bland, uninspired dishes I've ever had at a restaurant. Our desert experience was almost comedic in its "godawfulness." The deconstructed apple pie was an unpalatable mess, and the sweet tray for two was an insultingly overpriced joke. A few random candies on a tray. The most ridiculous item we ordered had to have been the $8.00 "Daily Bread by Matt Wilson". I mean the bread was good, but certainly nor worth the hefty fee. My advice would be to go to Nash for the Off Cut Bar, have a cool cocktail or two then head to a better, less pretentious restaurant in the area such as Without Papers for a decent meal.

New favourite restaurant?. I fell in love with the Osso Buco. Especially for elk where the biggest concern that it would be to "gamey," the meat was incredibly tender with a mild sweet sauce. The best was the marrrow in the giant bone. Basically as soft as butter as you dig into it and then melt in your mouth delicious.<br/><br/>I'd also recommend getting the local bread by Matt Wilson. We got a pine nut and fruit loaf that we broke apart for the table. Nice soft dough with a hard crust.<br/><br/>There was quality in the food around the table which isn't a surprise from the a spin off restaurant from Notable, one of my favourite restaurants in Calgary. The atmosphere was quite modern for an old historical hotel. Beautifully, but softly lit with a lot of white colours. the service was pretty impeccable for a first visit. Servers very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and very flexible for a group that went from eight to six. <br/><br/>It was also cool to have Chef Michael Noble at the door saying goodbye to guests at the end. I already have plans to visit two more times in the coming month.

Lovely birthday dinner. I took my husband to Nash for his birthday dinner. We had the beet salad to start - a light option with fresh beet sorbet and goat cheese. My husband ordered the market fish - perfectly prepared trout - and I had the elk osso bucco - a heartier dish with sharp gremolata and mediterranean risotto. Original dessert - carrot and chocolate grenache with buttermilk sorbet. The cocktails to start were a bit unoriginal, but we enjoyed the wine. Historic ambiance and good service - we will visit again.

Wow. I'm still in shock. Don't expect Nash to be Notable. Expect Charcut. Don't expect a vegetarian option. I enjoy YYC's high end restos but wow....I don't see how Nash is going to survive in Inglewood. A $70 32oz steak? I don't even understand how that's a menu item. <br/>We had the octopus appie. It was over cooked, was too fishy tasting and none of the other flavors in the dish came through. My husband had the $40 bison flank steak and I had the $30 roast chicken. Chicken was over cooked though not totally dry. The rub on the chicken was quite good. The greens on the side lacked imagination. At the end of the meal I asked our waitress if the lounge offered a different menu. It does, though it only has maybe half a dozen things on it. <br/>The decor is lovely. I asked the waitress if the menu changes frequently and she said it does. I'm hopeful it starts to reflect more of the creativity of Notable. I don't know how Nash will compete with Charcut and Mercato in the location they're in.

Just as wonderful as Notable!. We made a reservation for Nash last week and everything from the moment we were greeted in the beautiful foyer, to when we left, it was perfect. We started with two appetizers, the chilled Dungeness crab which was delicious and we picked it because it received other great reviews. Yes, it only comes with 4 tiny pieces of bread, but it wasn't a big deal to us. We also got the homemade bread, and that particular day, it was an almond-basil-currant bread which was great. I chose the free-run half chicken and it was seriously some of the best chicken I've had, and made for great leftovers the next day. My husband chose one of the specials, the maple pork belly, which was tasty even though I would never order that for myself haha. The desserts were all very original and had combinations you'd never think to put together. We chose the beet root sponge cake with homemade vanilla ice cream and it was really good! But you definitely need to eat them together, the beet root isn't very good alone haha. After going to Notable shortly after moving to Calgary, and having a great experience there, we knew we had to try Nash. We had a great experience and look forward to going back!

Really disappointing We had.... Really disappointing<br/>We had a reservation for 8:30. We weren't seated until 9:45! The staff was great, they apologized that the table before was wasn't leaving on time and we got complimentary drinks. By the time we were seated, we didn't really feel like eating anymore. I shared the chicken and some sides with my husband. The risotto was very under cooked. We sent it back. The second try was just as poor. To be honest, the food was boring and completely mediocre. Great service, nice atmosphere (although a bit loud) and very good cocktails. If you want to try this place, just have a nice cocktail in the bar. I'm sad to be posting a bad review because we were really excited about this place. It is a huge disappointment and there are many other restaurants that exceed this one by far. All the hype falls complelely flat. They need a re-do. Boring good and lost potential.
Kbisby
An average Calgary experience but not particularly notable.. Appetizers were good, showed up quickly... ... Then the waitress did not return for a good 30 minutes (and still hadn't taken our entree orders).<br/>Others at the table like their entrees. However, mine was not a success. I ordered the Elk Osso Bucco but was told (at 6 PM on a Saturday) that they were out of Elk. However, they suggested bison as an appropriate substitution. It was a disappointment - dry, tasteless, overdone. The risotto that accompanied it was crunchy. I will go back for a second try but only because I live 5 minutes away...

Nice Place. Great Food, Wine Selection a little week. Service was terrible!!!

Come on you can do better. Went for lunch at 12:30 got sat quickly and service seemed to be of to a great start ordered soup to start so far so good then ordered our lunch it took forever and I am a patient man wow it finally came nothing great just ok for all the hype the menu needs more then we had to go find our server. Finally paid and got outside at 2:20 never will i over pay for that kind of service and Mediocre food again stick with Sugo or without papers.

Service was fantastic, food was delectable! Only complaint was the sun in my eyes. It's a sexy place, definitely adding value to Inglewood's growth.
