You can get green salad with vinaigrette - Western. I went for the $19.99 meat combo - steak, pork chop, western sausage, and beacon combo breakfast with rice. Top that with garlic sauce, it is just damp siok!

came here during weekday lunch with family, and the portion were huge! that was definitely a plus for a quantity eater right here. taste wise it's decent, the wok flavour was presented with enough greasyness but not too much, the flavour of the raw ingredients in their dishes were presented fairly well. overall it's a decent eat, definitely not bad, but price maybe slightly more for a student budget. :D

The Boss Restaurant is a Cantonese Restaurant, which has many locations in the Metro Vancouver. The one I’ve always been is located in Metrotown Second Floor. The location is very easy for people to find and it is always super busy. I alway came to this location around the lunch time with my friends even through it has a huge line-up in front of the door. The servers were very nice and friendly. I always ordered Russan Soup, Black pepper steak with rice and lemon ice tea. The food is very fresh and well cooked. Food came very fast. The taste of the food was super delicious. The price of food is cheap too. In summary, I really like this place. The only minus thing for this restaurant is CASH ONLY.

Came here for breakfast at 11am on a Friday. No wait and they had my favorite hk style breakfast meals. 2 eggs with ham (or your choice of meat) with instant noodles and satay beef (or your choice of noodles) with a drink for $9! My photos say it all. It was delicious!!

If anyone is in Metrotown area, and craving for some good carbs, The boss is a good place to go. They have a few dishes and most dishes come in smaller portion than similar restaurants in town (such as Oscar, Amigo, etc.) The good thing is they serve better quality food here.

Their Seafood E-fu noodles is one of the best you can find. I tried so many in Canada (from west coast to east coast) and this one is really good. Coming in almost $15 per dish, it's not cheap. However, their noodles is not greasy, flavorful, and loaded with scallops, shrimps and squids, and dried scallops. I always order that dish and it's something to recommend.

The other good dish is their seafood with spaghetti in cream sauce. This is about $13, and comes with similar ingredient like the seafood e-fu noodles. The dish is pretty filling and I don't mind having this every day.

The also serve some good baked pork chop on rice, and it's really good (better than most HK style restaurant).

They have other dishes such as steak, pork chop or their dinner special, which I would NOT recommend due to their high price tag and small portion. Why order something expensive where they have some better options.

Verdict:
Food: 9/10 (food comes out fresh, and tasty: based on the 2 dishes I order)
Service: 7/10 (service was decent, refilling tea from time to time)
Price: 7/10 (Their price tag is not cheap, but these are good food)
Overall: 23/30 (It's worth going if you are nearby, and worth to drive to just have the seafood e-fu noodles)

An Old Customer. I have probably been a customer of this restaurant for a good 5 years or more.. The food really has gone downhill after the renovation, but I come here for a quick Hong Kong styled meal because of the location.
Is everything here good? Nope, but there are certain dishes that are decent.

Some dishes are good, though not all. I come here often because of the location. Some of the dishes is good, like Fried rice with Salted fish and chicken. This is my favourite dish. The rest is ok. The chicken curry used to be quite good back in few years ago. Now it carries the smell of some spice (a bit strong) but, to me, it's still good.

Surprisingly good Service!. I've been here a couple of times and the service hasn't always been pleasant. But today, for some reason, the waiter was SUPER nice. The food here is quite authentic and the price isn't too bad. Overall, this is a good place to eat, although it gets quite busy during lunch hours

This restaurant is always reliable, and really fast bringing out the food. We have been here many times, but it has improved especially in the last year or two. Before they did their renovations, it was an ok place. But since it has been cleaned up and modernized, I think that they have improved their food too. Hong Kong style cafe, probably the best net for food in the Metrotown mall if you need dinner. Try the Shanghai vermiccelli, and the honeymoon fried rice. They will also cook up a side of vegetables, we usually get gai lan with oyster sauce, which might not be on the menu. Just talk to the server, they will cook all sorts of things if you ask. Prices are good too.

Yesterday I had a dentist's appointment at Metrotown, and didn't want to venture too far for food! I go to Omega Dental btw LOL, beside T&T! So what were my only options? T&T, or the food court hahaha. Not really in the mood for either, I decided to go to the Boss instead for some HK Cafe food! Even though I lived in the Metrotown area for 7 years, I've never eaten at the Boss LOL! I've been to the Chinatown location though, and let me tell ya, that one is SO much better!! They have a bakery up front, but this one doesn't!    We actually had to wait in line for 10 mins, that's how popular this place is! We were given and a number, and had to wait outside. The turnover rate is pretty quick though, it's mainly filled with mall goers looking for a quick meal! Dinner Roll Soup $1.50  4/5 stars   This was actually really good LOL! Or maybe I was just really hungry! The bread they give you at this location is white bread, which is served warm! The chinatown location gives you whole wheat bread, and it's cold haha. The bread was super fluffy, soft, and not dense at all! The bread was really warm and soft, there's nothing better than warm bread! Total comfort food LOL! Singapore Fried Vermicelli $8.50  2.5/5 stars   This was on the first page of the menu, in the specials section! The portion size was quite large and pretty filling! There was a mild curry flavour, and had some good wok hey going on. The noodles were cooked  al dente and didn't clump together, which was appreciated. There was a good amount of lean char siu piecs in there, as well as some carrots and peppers! Mushroom Chicken Soup 3/5 stars   I've had the same soup at their chinatown location, and I found this version to be starchier, and clumpier. There was a heavy chicken flavour and an underlying mushroom flavour. There was a substantial amount of chicken in it too! HK Milk Tea 3/5 stars   The first thing I noticed was that they use the same cups as Deer Garden LOL! These types of mugs keep the drink hot

My mom used to buy this kind of noodles that is cooked with chicken from this place that's really good and after coming home from a day's worth of staycationing (stay-vacation) and we were too lazy to cook anything so we decided to dine-in on our way home.  When we arrived, the place was so busy, there were people lined up outside as it was about 6:00PM at night. We had to wait for about 15 minutes before we got called in. Once we were inside, the place has sort of a diner feel to it. I've also noticed this restaurant takes cash only. There were tables and huge panels of mirrors on the wall (I think they were there to create the impression that the place is big. When we were seated down, we knew what we would like to order already so we ordered. We ordered a Yang Jou Fried Rice, The Boss Noodles and then Chicken Fried Noodles.    Something interesting I've noticed is that the cups that they used to serve the tea has really interesting and unique patterns. When I took a closer, I notice

The Boss Restaurant is located in Metrotown near Zellers. When you are walking around the mall and you are craving chinese food, this is where most people go. There are always lineups during peak hours…huge groups of people can be seen around the outside of the restaurant….thats how you know its packed. The Boss undergone renovation last year and looks a lot more amazing than before! We arrived at about 5pm and they told us it's going to be a while till we got a table. There were 4 of us…and when we l

The Boss Restaurant has been around for a long time. Located inside Metrotown Mall in Burnaby, it was an ideal place to go for a quick break from shopping and grab a bite to eat. The Boss serves H.K. style cafe food. They have a wide selection of dishes in their menu. But I decided to get a combo meal (a dish with a drink) from their special delight menu. My cold H.K. style milk tea with coffee was good. I always enjoyed this traditional drink. I ordered Baked Breaded Pork Lion Fried Rice with Tomato Sauce. My friend ordered Singapore Fried Vermicelli. Both dishes arrived pretty fast. I really like the vermicelli dish. It was not too greasy and was very flavourful. Although the Baked Breaded Pork Lion was not the greatest in terms of how the dish looked, it was nevertheless delicious. However, it was a bit on the sweeter side for me (tomato sauce usually has ketchup in H.K. style dishes). The prices were reasonable. The portions were also quite decent. It w
