Nando's is one of those restaurants that you go to and expect almost fast food service, but in a restaurant environment. I was a bit surprised to see a Nando's in the food court at my first visit to Metrotown! Amongst other choices like KFC and New York Fries, Nando's is a welcome sight. I ordered half a chicken, and was given a receipt. The girls at the counter seemed very disinterested in their jobs and sat around and chatted after taking my order (fair enough, the food court was empty). However, when my order was ready, they did not call my name/grab my attention and literally left the tray on the counter for me to grab it. Only when I went up to them and asked if it was mine, did they give it to me. Keep in mind that I wasn't the only one waiting for my Nando's. Kinda unprofessional, but whatever. No one really comes to the food court for good service.
The chicken itself was oilier than I expected, but was juicy just like any Nando's chicken should be. The plate was definitely soaked in grease after I was done with it. They also didn't ask if I wanted to have any Nando's sauce - maybe I missed it somewhere? Ah well. All in all, this is a Nando's that is a bit greasier than others. I expected a bit better service but food court food isn't meant to be glamorous. Just the fact that Nando's is in a food court is enough to keep me happy. All in all, recommended.
The chicken here is really tasty, ine of the best I had. Tender and succulent. Their sauce is totally different feom others. I had the chicken sandwich. Great taste. The rice was a bit dry, wouldn't recommend the rice as a side, better to go for fries.
OKAY I KNOW- edmonton literally just opened the first nandos on the south side. But prior to my visit, I never got to make it down.(plus the constant comments on how long the wait was for ordering out and eating in)
So today, after my shift, boyfriend agreed to settle for food court food and I finally got the taste of peri peri chicken.
One order of medium hot and one hot hot both with regular peri fries.
Nothing makes me happier than digging into a perfectly cooked thigh. Where the meat is moist and comes off so easily. Where ketchup is no longer needed. No matter how much your mouth is on fire you still keep shoving food into your mouth...
Here, my friends...is where my taste buds were satisfied.
Both of us were full from the meal and the fries were fresh and crispy too! It was $18 for the two of us- which I think is totally worth the price, especially for the quality!
GOING TO TRY ALL THE FRANCHISES!
I really liked their chicken Caesar wrap and their Caesar salad. The price is decent. This place can have long queues during lunch/dinner time.
Better than a greasy burger. Service was ok. The kid working the counter spoke too fast and was a very quietly for a food court. There was a wait for food but it was right at noon.
I had the 1/4 chicken with leg and a salad. The chicken was a bit small but it was tender and moist. Salad was fresh and crunchy.
I have never been to another Nando so I can't compare. However I can say that is far better than a Swiss Chalet chicken.
Incredible vegan burger!. EASILY the best vegan burger from a chain restaurant, I can't believe it. As long as you ask for the burger without mayo it's vegan, and AMAZING, too. Can't be beat, and I love them for making it dairy-free. Nando's has won my heart, and word needs to get out to vegans about their delicious veggie burger.
I love grilled chicken, the salad is really good too. Combine the two together, you get a good chicken salad. My biggest complaint is that it's the priciest on the menu, which is silly. It's fast food style, you pick, you pay, you pick a place to sit.
Last week on Tuesday my mom treated us to dinner at Nando's after an incident of me fainting in the school parking lot because I accidentally ate a bar with nuts in it LOL. I couldn't breathe and I was rushed to the Vancouver General Hospital where I stayed for 5 hours...yup, fun times. My mom felt so bad for me that she took me out for dinner after haha. Sorry if I sound *tired* (is it possible to sound tired over the internet?) in this post haha, it's midterm season and I'm currently under a lot of stress to get 'em As LOL! And midterm season is followed by essay season...then finals...GAH!! Why can't I be done with school already? :( SIGNATURE DISHES Nando's specializes in Portguese flame grilled chicken! They're famous for their periperi hot sauce, and periperi fries! They even have their own stall in the Metrotown food court (which I haven't tried lol.) SERVICE 3.5 /5 stars After entering we were immediately greeted and seating. Our waitress was polite, fetched us water,
The food at Nandos' mall court special is simply delightful. The staff are incredibly efficient and amicable, ensuring a fast and friendly dining experience. Additionally, the pricing is reasonable and offers good value for money.
Chicken was good. Tasty. Price a bit steep for the size and portions, but it’s inflation nowadays sadly, will come once in a while.
Taste is fine , I expected it to be more spicier for it being named high spice . The chicken is overall well cooked but tasted a bit bland not much of flavour . Garlic sauce is okay , doesn’t go all that well with the chicken . Might try hot sauce next time . Wait time was too much which is understandable as they had a lot of customers lined up .
Have been attending this Nando’s location for many months. Food is of the BEST quality (very in line with Nandos on Davie Street), always cooked to the T. Fries servings are VERY, VERY generous 🍟
Staff has a always been exceptionally polite, efficient, and very customer service oriented (a little rare to find an all round top notch squad as such!). A big thank you to
Harbir (taller gentleman) whom we believe “may” be the manager at this location … has always been extensively brilliant at the front counter. Navigates with a smile and is always kind, courteous and lovely to talk to. Also a shout out to the ladies at the front counter whom are doing an excellent job making it happen, as well as the back end staff, chefs, ect. Overall this is our BEST Nandos location! Keep it up 🙏
The service is fast and accurate. At 6 p.m., the wait to order was over 20 minutes. It is popular! The mall was crowded and noisy, so I recommend take out.
Good food. Chicken quality still good. The source is great
The food was delicious and juicy. Their quality and portion is excellent. Didn’t expect that much food quality because its in food court but it was totally worth to try.
Recommend 100%
Food is very yummy
Staff is very nice
When I got my fries it tastes delicious. There is a metal thing which is okay. Careful next time
There is nothing like getting some Nando’s after a hard days shopping!! Don’t even look at anything else in the food court. The double leg hot with extra hot sauce is the way to go! Also love the cheesecake. The centre was vastly improved by adding a Nando’s.
Staffs are always nice and kind. Quite busy nando's in food court. But they serve quite quick, so it is okay during lunch time.😎
Half or only legs are really nice. I always go half chicken with coleslaw. Their coleslaw is one of my favourites.🤍
I ordered catering from this location for 100 people. Jay and Manbir did an amazing job. Manbir helped to take the food to the car and made sure we have everything. We were missing sauces so he drove to our event location to drop the sauces off. The food- we ordered chicken, rice and garlic bread and it was amazing. Chicken was moist and cooked perfectly- laid out in the foil trays perfectly. Wish it had before sauce on it but still can’t complain. It was amazing food and everyone enjoyed this. Don’t know if I’ll get this kind of food and service for the price. Amazing job!
Going to Nando’s felt like a taste of home. Everything tastes like Nando’s in South Africa! Very tasty and my kind of spice. The staff that attended to us was super nice and gave awesome suggestions. I wish I took his name down!
Top notch service at this location inside the metrotown food court.
I’ve never had any bad experiences here so far.
Nandos is a must-try for chicken lovers who don’t want something deep fried :)
I recently had a baby shower and decided to call up this Nando's location for catering options and they did not disappoint! Not only did they make everything super easy by recommending amount of food for the amount of guests I had, but the price was reasonable too! It ended up costing approximately $12-15 per person. Food was delicious too and prepped at a reasonable time before pick up as it was fresh. Thank you!!
Awesome food great service chicken is so good
