Pho Japolo is located on the Burnaby side of North Road, just off of Cameron Street. While I’ve had this place on my list for quite some time, I really didn’t plan on visiting the day that I did… it just turned out that my first choice was too busy so I wound up turning into this parking lot and saw the sign for Pho Japolo.

Solid Pho and Japanese food. Definitely recommend as I am a regular here and tried multiple items off both Vietnamese and Japanese menus. Will be coming back for sure.

came here twice already, the atmosphere is kind of laidback and the owner/chef maybe is a big sports fan got sports channel on, and a few things hanged on the wall that give hints someone in the restaurant is a big sports fan. As for the food tried a couple items, tried the pizza sushi which is definitely something different and nice as well, there are other items as well. the taste of the pho is also on spot, but it's nothing spectacular. everything was done nicely, i'll say better than some places, but definitely not the best. overall i think it's a good combination of pho and sushi places if you've are not sure what you wanted and you're in the area.

I always stop by when I'm craving pho and when I feel too lazy to cook dinner. Delicious every time, very friendly service, and extremely clean and inviting atmosphere. If you enjoy a big bowl of pho, I definitely recommend this location.

Hi, I got the bun bo hue, and sushi pizza (tuna) for delivery from an app and I really enjoyed it. Personally I really hate fish eggs and it's especially due to the texture. On the sushi pizza they have a bit of it on top. To be honest, I wasn't even sure what to expect for this. I remember watching one of Gordon Ramsay's shows where Gordon spat it out when a random restaurant tried to feed it to him. After taking the first bite out of the pizza sushi I was pleasantly surprised. No, I did not spit it out. I actually finished all of it, and I didn't mind the fish egg on it. It's actually really good with the crispy base and tenderness of the fish it all melts together well. The bun bo hue is comparable to any other vietnamese restaurant and I'm not disappointed. The garnishes that goes with the soup were all fresh. This place is pretty cool.

This concept is indeed something rather unusual. Quite frankly, I wasn't sure in the beginning since I had numerous previous bad experiences with places trying to mix several cuisines. But you know, it turned out to be a pleasant dinner. The menu is very extensive, and we decided to try dishes from both worlds, so to speak. Pho was very decent, can't complain. The sushi dinner box was pretty solid with a good choice of sashimi; however, the tempura batter was pretty thick, almost like for fish and chips. All in all, it was a good experience.

Good mix of Vietnamese and sushi options with friendly service. Jacky, the owner, knows how to make the sushi exactly how my kids enjoy it. It's one of our favorite places to eat.

I was taking a night stroll with my boyfriend and we got hungry, walked into this restaurant and now I'm writing this after the meal. The owner seems very passionate about the food he is offering and recommended the sushi pizza to us because we were showing interest in the sushi burger. We listened to him and boy, we didn't regret. The sushi pizza is a MUST try. The sauce, the finely prepared ingredients was put together so beautifully and the flavour is unforgettable. The pho is one of the bests, plenty of beef even it was a small bowl, fresh onions and bean sprouts and decent broth. My boyfriend also loved the sub but the bread is a bit soft for my liking. All in all, would come again.

I’ve only had the pho here so far, and have enjoyed it every time. The broth is good, meat is fresh, noodles thicker. No complaints here! They also make really delicious smoothies, and the staff are always kind.

Great place for pho on a cold or rainy day. I've never seen it be overly busy, which means you get to dine in peace and service is good. The quality of the pho tastes better than the chain restaurants that have a crap ton of msg in their broths. I always go here for my fix since it's so close to my house.

Fantastic pho, excellent appetizers, good Japanese options too. Plus the famous sushi burger, which is a remarkable culinary experiment that is worth experiencing. The staff and management are prompt and friendly, the seating simple but comfortable, and the prices reasonable.
