Been here twice, each time, I felt that the food & the price & the quantity were all perfect for each other. Really really warm atmosphere and its nice and quaint and dim-lit, gives each table the privacy they need. Still waiting to try their pizza!
Very cozy setting. The staff are so friendly and the food is terrific. The spaghetti I ordered was a vegetarian dish and it was so full of flavour. I cant wait to try their pizza the next time I go because I have heard great things about it. I will be going again very soon!
Now, its traditional Italian with cross-cultural mesh-up of cuisines from all around the world. Top Chef! Cozy, family, intimate space with great, friendly stuff and awesome, tasteful, fresh food!
Did I mention great acoustic live shows! BRAVO!
Friendly staff, and the food was delicious. They were pretty generous with the sizing too, giving us garlic bread and pita bread. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna, and the noodles tasted really great. It was strange though how we were the only customers there that day.
Randomly came across Romana and I will definitely visit again! Seems like a family owned restaurant, the wife/server is extremely friendly. The food is top notch, I had the lamb shoulder, it is very tender and melts in your mouth. My friend had the chicken Parmesan which was very flavourful and the meat was very moist. The servings were big and there were also complimentary garlic bread and pita. This will be my go to greek restaurant in North Burnaby from now on!
I usually go to my familar pizza / greek place in kitsilano but they've become skimpy on ingredients these last few yrs (no bell pepper in greek salad WTH)! anyways, i looked for good ratings around my area and saw this rated 4 so decided to give it a go....and just came back to write a review!
when i walked in i was skeptical...it seemed to be chinese owned @__@...seems like total red flag but what the heck, ppl gave it decent rating....and luckily i was proven wrong! the food was pretty good, especially the chicken souvlaki....chicken was moist, not overseasoned, has a nice slight char to it...the rice was fluffy and generous with olive oil but not overly greasy...the greek salad has bell pepper! and the purple onion was finely sliced, which really helps add to the texture overall...had also ordered a small hawaiian pizza with added topping of artichoke for $1 extra...have to say the crust was nice and light/crispy not super doughy...generous on cheese...
i do recommend anyone wanting a decent greek/pizza to try this joint out~ and the staff is super friendly and attentive...
will be back soon...and they deliver....saw quite a few people come in for pickup
UPDATE: i was back the next night! brought my relative to romana coz i raved about the souvlaki...she agreed it was one of the best she's tasted for a long while....downside, the ribs were not as good
NEW MANAGEMENT: sadly cant say i will be back anytime soon, ordered 3 chicken souvlakis to go...one tasted "off"...and definitely the skewers and portions of sides were much smaller....the chicken was not as moist but the sides tasted good still but greek salad was plastered with red onions....@$14.75 an order, it's not the quantity but the quality I miss....perhaps may wait for other's positive reviews of their pizzas to return...
Best pizza ive ever had. Tons of toppings! Fresh and delicious. Cant fathom eating a pizza anywhere else ever again
All meat pizza... Sooo much cheese and meat toppings!!! Owner is friendly. Generous portions for all food.

Great service and really good prices. Food is fresh and portions are big.
Excellent Pizza. My SO and I have been complaining for a long time about not being able to find a good, flavorful, genuine pizza like you could find back in the 80s-early 90s, and we have now!! Their ingredients are all fresh and real, and the toppings are very generous!! Great crust, lots of cheese, we'll be ordering from here from now on!

Been there for 40 years;. As a local who dines out frequently, I used to visit this place almost nightly, as the food was well prepared, heaped high and generous portions, good fresh coffee and smiling faces of the younger staff.
I wish they would change the menu to some new cuisine items, and get away from just Greek dishes as younger patrons prefer variety and spices today. Maybe, have a daily "Special" pasta dish for less than $10 [out the door] and live background music for diners to enjoy.
We have ordered delivery from Romana'a a few times and the food is excellent. They are always so friendly over the phone and we get our food quickly.
I give it a 3 out of 5. We went to dine in and check out their pizza. It is a typical old style greek restaurant and very friendly. We were the only 2 people there but it was one of the hottest evenings of the summer. The pizza was good and all ingredients were fresh but I'm giving it 3 stars because it was a little on the dry side. We had the Mama's pizza with pepperoni, salami, green pepper, mushroom and black olives. Could have been really good with just a little more sauce!
Enjoyable. Just had a wonderful dinner at Romana. Service was excellent, food was great. Will definitly be back.
Romana Pizza and Steak House is a family operated restaurant since 1973. To me, this restaurant is interesting in the way that it not only has pizza, but also many Greek dishes. Given that I bought a coupon from Living Social for this place, we decided to go and check it out. When we walked in, the interior was decorated with Christmas theme. Yet, I could still see the pizzaria type of colour theme - red! From the psychological point of view, red and yellow are the colours that can stimulate people's appet
Gosh I love Burnaby Heights. This is a fantastic neighbourhood. Most of the restaurants here have been around for a long, long time. One restaurant that stands out is Romana Pizza. Romana has been in business for 38 years, and it has the distinction of being Burnaby's Longest Running Single Family Owned & Operated Pizza/Restaurant Establishment. We were greeted at the door by proud owner Poppy. (or @Momma_Poppy as she is known in the twitter world). You kindda figure that greeting customers would've gotten old after 38 years, but no. There she was, with a huge smile on her face, welcoming us to her restaurant. I've heard really good things about Romana's pizza, their Kalamari appetizer and their tiramisu dessert. So guess what we ordered? Let's start with the Kalamari ($10). This dish was deep fried, but not greasy, and it was coated in a special blend of spices and served with a generous side of Tzatziki sauce. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't place the spice mix. I've never tas
