Review White Spot North Road - Burnaby

I like to come here during Mondays because it's slow so, your order doesn't take much time to wait. The food are good. Bottomless soft drink and fries. Friendly waitresses.

The place is cozy: simple, yet nice interior with lots of warm and natural colors. Burgers are nice: tasty meat, perfect cheese (you can add some), sweet buns. Loved the pickles. Staff were also lovely, gave me some useful recommendations and were nice and helpful. Highly recommend

Just had to share the pancakes my mom received in her takeout order a couple weeks ago from here. She did not review but was very displeased and obviously did not eat them. Can't believe they went ahead and packed this. Unbelievable.

Great experience as always, staff approached us shortly after putting our hazards on as is procedure at the drive up (car hop) drive through. Food tasted great and the unique old school experience is always nostalgic and something different. Happy this still exists.

There is a large waiting area with seats in case the restaurant is full. The front staff and server were courteous and polite. Food tasted great - tasted fresh and homemade. Vegetarian options available if needed. The restaurant is good for a breakfast or lunch gathering. The restaurant is located at a convenient location near Lougheed town station. They have a pretty big parking lot just for their customers. Outdoor patio seating is available if you want to sit outdoors.

love love love the car service šŸ˜ worth it every single time! a little pricey (approx $50 for 2 people) but it's not really fast food and it tastes delicious! very filling as well - there's a bunch of fries! great for a date night or take your kid(s) and get a pirate pak for some family fun. don't forget to try a handmade milkshake!!

My wife and I have been eating at this location for many years. In the last 3 months, the food quality has really gone downhill, as has the service. I've experienced numerous food quality issues, as well as issues with food missing from our take out orders. The picture of the fish (fish n' chips) is recent. The portions seem to have shrunk.

Great service each time Iā€™ve been to this location and the staff is always friendly. This time I had the BC Sunset breakfast, no bun but they did offer a gluten free bun. I also had a delicious mimosa made with grapefruit juice yum šŸ˜‹ Thanks for the great service and consistently good food.

I am a regular in the evening at this location but the service in the past month or so seems to have gone down the tubes.Ā Even previously good servers like Shane seem to not care anymore about their customers.Ā I from now on will be spending my money elsewhere.Ā It's not like there isn't anywhere else to go.

MMM, White Spot...a BC classic! This location is quite spacious. It is in a bit of a random location by Lougheed Station, you may get a bit lost your first time trying to turn into the parking lot. The food is consistent with other White Spots, no complaints there!

Saturday Night, ordered a BC Chick Burger Combo and another Burger.

The order was for pickup. I paid before I got the food. Next time I will only pay once the food has been received and inspected.

Both Burgers appeared to have been thrown again the wall before being put in the bag, I am serious about this. They looked like survivors of a traffic accident.

The fries were only half-full.

I do NOT tip for take out, and this is exactly why. Even when I tip, I have found their staff rude, if they do no find the tip to be enough.

If I DONT tip, they are very friendly.!

This is counter intuitive...

I have literally been ordering the same BC Chicken Burger combo for 18 years, and have found their service has gone down hill the last 7 years or so.

The only reason I keep coming back is their in house service is 5 star, the food is still OK, given the traffic accident condition, and value.

However, I will NEVER tip for take out at any of their locations again.

In addition, any defective food will be replace before I leave the premises after talking with the on-duty manager.

Its a sad commentary when you have to resort to tactics like this, perhaps a sign of the times, perhaps a sign of a restaurant in decline.

This past August 15th, 2018 was Pirate Pak Day at White Spot. This is the day that adults can purchase their famous Pirate Paks and White Spot would donate $2 to the Zajac Ranch for Childrenā€¦ a worthy cause that Iā€™ve raised money for in the past. I had decided to head over to the White Spot at North Road and Lougheed Hwy to get my Pirate Pak fix and it was a good thing that I showed up early because this location filled up quickly by noon. Iā€™m not sure how much of that is due to regular business and how much might be attributed to Pirate Pak Day. Glancing over their special limited menu, and not really feeling in the mood for a hamburger, I noticed that you could order a couple of non-hamburger items so I picked the White Spot Club ($15.99).

Just had two of the smallest pieces of fish in a very empty box from take out. Sunday night ( the 12th of November) from the North Road location. $40 for two with a 15% tip...respectable, considering no waitress waiting on me, no dishes to wash and no table to wipe down. I wound up giving my son one of my fish so that hell feel fed and frying up a chop from my freezer so that I'll feel fed. They'll taste better... the fish is under battered and thin! Never again White Spot.

I have been to white spot before but never thought it was that great but the last few times I have been there I have enjoyed it. This time I really enjoyed my meal. I was craving ribs for a long time...the last rib place we went to was a BIG disappointment...sooo dry :( I orders the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs...so good..moist and fall off the bone. Going to order it next time :) the service was really good as well. Now that it's not just my hubby & me but there is baby...it can be hard to find places that can be accommodating for a car seat or stroller. The server offered us a seat with more room so we can place the car seat :) will be back again when we are in the area.

So why bother reviewing White Spot you ask?Ā Well, I haven't eatern here in a really long time.Ā On top of that, the chain really isn't as big as you might assume.Ā So what did I find?Ā Nothing had really changed.Ā Luckily I came here not expecting much, so I wasn't very disappointed.Ā It will probably be another ling time before I come here again.

Fast friendly service. Great food. Table of 5 had no complaints. They make great burgers and have unique twist on poutine . We will eat there again and recommend it for sure.

White spot have been a favorite fast food joint for my friend back in uni days, however that was tripple O's, and for whitespot with more variety, it should be decent. so went here for lunch, and ordered a poutine and seafood pasta. I'll definitely say the pasta was okay, not bad and the poutine was also okay. I'd say overall it wouldn't be really memorable but it's definitely not a bad restaurant. so going to give it a 3 because it's just decent. but price wise i'd rather go to pho resetaurants any day.

do i recommend the place? no, not really memorable and there are a lot of other places that can offer the same price and better tasting in my opinion.

This White Spot has never steered me wrong. They offer all of the standards in a bright, clean restaurant. Stop in for a legendary burger or whatever tickles your fancy. I strongly recommend against ordering the shrimp sandwich and the fruit pies which are now pre-prepared fruit tarts and retain none of the redeeming qualities of a pie. Always reliable for a sit down meal of Canadian comfort food.

Re special dinner of raviola. We went to the white spot on feb, 19th for our dinner, my husband had the special which was raviola I believe around 14.99 or 15.99 and a salad, talk about a disappointment, we did let our server know that it was not very good, and got 4 little raviola, and enough sauce for two meals, plus it was just warm, not even hot. we do not go to the white spot that often, we only went as we had received a gift card, the other thing i can say is, we are never disappointed with the burgers, we should have known from past experience only order the burgers, everything else is never very good, that is from our experience. just to let you know, thankyou. anne mcnamara,

Bad service, ordered drink, waitress forgot but apologetic. Had chicken pot pie, had flavor like canned soup, crust was good. Calamari was small and rubbery. Would not recommend.

Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Salad. A very nice salad I must say. Tons of flavor because of the garlic lime dressing -- quite tart with a little kick from the garlic. Balance the taste with the buttermilk chicken. A wonderful addition with the santa fe been salsa on top. I'm very satisfied. The only part that maybe didn't make sense was the use of fontina cheese. It's not a strong enough cheese to stand next to all the flavors. Perhaps it's there for texture? If so, I think avocado would be a better choice. But still, overall, very delicious.

This one has good food.... Love the double double burger and their chicken, broccoli, and cheese casserole. Chocolate milkshakes are yummy here too. Just beware of the wait at peak dinner times!!

White Spot food is more-or-less the same which ever one you go to (although there are a couple I avoid). What makes this White Spotbetter is that it is nicely renovated inside. It seems a bit upscale as White Spot goes. I think it then reflects on all aspects of the meal. Of all the White Spots we've been to, this is clearly the best one.

Avg Burgers and Comfort Bfast. The Chef features are overrated but its a chain so you get average and pay average. Its the go to for comfort for burgers and bfast for the two eggs overeasy with multigrain and hashbrowns

Nat Bailey's Classic. This location in particular is my favorite White Spot. Classic Nat Burgers and Shakes for lunch, Pasta entrees for dinner and great breakfast combos. It makes me hungry thinking about it.

For the avocado salsa, the avocados are mushy, brown, does not taste or look fresh and seems more like a guacamole than a salsa. On the menu, the photo of this has diced tomatoes, corn and beans in a bright green avocado salsa. I am surprised to see this at a chain restaurant especially when the morning just started. If I came here for brunch, I would assume it has been sitting out since the morning.
FOOD FOR BUDDHA
Few days ago, while reading Sherman's Food Adventures, I found out that White Spot is having a charity event called Pirate Pak Day...basically for every Pirate Pak you order, $2 will be donated to Zajac Ranch for Children - a summer camp for children with

Probably everyone in BC knows White Spot ; it is, as they say, a veritable institution. However, one can't miss that over the past 10 or so years, the chain has undergone a transformation from a diner/family style joint Ć la Denny's to a casual fine-dinin
My Secret Eden
If you know me, I usually avoid all chain restaurants like a plague. I think they are all so generic, with the same menu and prices. I even find that they pretty much taste the same. So why did I go to White Spot? I went for 2 reason: 1) I was craving for

Kevin and Steph got the Hearty Breakfast. Iā€™m about 80% sure about this, so if Iā€™m wrong, sorry! 2 eggs, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausages, 2 french toast slices, and hashbrown. $9.99 I think. I couldnā€™t have my burger, so I made up for it by getting something t
