Review Ramie's Greek Restaurant - Burnaby

Our all time favourite restaurant in the neighborhood. The portions are large, the service is friendly and easy parking at the back. Lots of takeout and pickups while we are there so you know the food is great!

Have been here a few times in the past (work function, dine in). If you’re looking to satisfy your Greek food craving? It’ll do the job. If you’re looking for amazing , this may fall short of that. This time did a takeout order: Ramie’s Special which is a grilled chicken breast with 2 lamb chops. Chicken was on the dryer side. Lamb chops tasted mediocre. Roast lamb dinner - I’ll give it to ya, it was tender for the take out. The rice and potato were alright, lacked that aromatic punch that I’ve tasted from other restaurants. Tzatziki was light and airy tasting. Now, where it really lost me was with the veggies. It reminded me of cheap buffet joint or veggies from a frozen isle and sure tasted of same. Was disappointed. There is room for improvement and I hope some changes are made as ultimately I always want to see a business continue to be successful (and they are clearly, cause they’ve been around for a while). Cheers.

If you are craving Greek delicacies, this is your place.!!! It is a beautiful restaurant which has a patio on the Kingsway 🪴. We ordered BBq baby back ribs with a side of spaghetti 🍝 and Dolmathe served along with green salad 🥗and pita bread. All dishes yummy and filling for 2 with a cabernet wine 🍷. The dinner costed around $30 per person. The service at the restaurant was really good. It is a must visit place if you are in Burnaby, BC ☺️

Went with some friends and it was a really nice experience. Our server was amazing and helped us out with photos and stuff. I got the Garlic Prawn Dinner, it was really good but I didn't like the potato. Really nice place to go with a friend.

Everything was amazing. I came here yesterday with my friend and I wanted to give him special dining experience since we have not seen each other for a while. We ordered calamari meal and Dee's platter. First, greek salad and pita bread were served. The smell of bread almost killed me. What did they use to bake the bread? It was probably the best that I have ever smelled. And the salad was also fantastic. The size of cucumber was perfect and fit in my mouth. And the portion of cheese was generous. U have not tasted calamari but my friend said that it was good. And he finished his dish so it is obviously delicious. And the lamb was so tender and meaty. I love it so much. But the portion was so small. The platter was for 2 people but the portion of lamb was closed to a single person. Maybe I will order another lamb next time. Aside from the lamb, everything was above my expectation and I am so grateful that such a great greek restaurant is near by where I live. Highly recommend!!!

We got seated fairly quickly and got our food in a timely manner. It gets busy here around dinner time so I'd come early. There's parking behind the restaurant which was nice because it was raining that day. We got the lamb souvlaki, lemon chicken and calamari. The lamb was juicy, tender and flavourful. Their tzatziki sauce tasted like it was homemade which is always a bonus. The lemon chicken was alright and we demolished that calamari! Only issue that made it lose a star is because we got seated right before another table and by the time we had finished eating and paid the check, they still hasn't gotten served. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't know if that was based on the timing of their order, what they ordered, how many people were in their party (4) but I felt really bad for them and I could tell they weren't happy with waiting that long either.

The food taste love, the service was great, and everything taste homemade. The roast lamb is really something. A bit crunchy on the outside but juicy on the inside. The crew are very friendly. Greek cuisine at its finest. 😍🤩

Loooved it! Very casual, typical Greek decor, but the food it's definitely what stands out! First the pita bread, amazing crispy and buttery. Then I had the rosted lamb, it's was divine. So soft and tasty. Definitely recommend even if you're not too familiar with Greek cuisine.

Tried to order through skip the dishes, the order had difficulties going through, tried to order through another app Fantuan, the order was cancelled. Tried to phone the restaurant, the waitress put me on hold for 15mins and hanged up! If you don't want to run the business, just shut down.

Last Tuesday, my boyfriend took me to Ramies Greek Restaurant for dinner after work. Ramies Greek Restaurant is located on Kingsway Burnaby. The location is on the major road, which is very easy for customers to find and convenience for customers’ parking. It’s a medium size of the Greek Food restaurant. The restaurant is including two parts, such as patio and restaurant. It was our first time having food at this place. The servers were very nice and friendly. We have ordered CALAMARI DINNER and LAMB SOUVLAKIA for dinner. Our meal came out of the kitchen fast and well cooked. Both dishes were in the large portions. They were all came with the free pita bread and some side dishes, such as rice, salad, and potatoes. The calamari dinner was made of the deep-fried baby squid, which was so tasty. I love Lamb Souvlakia more because the boneless Lamb leg was large and delicious. The price of the food was super expensive. Each dish was around $18.

• parking along the side streets are free
• one of the best Lamb shanks I’ve ever tasted! Fall off the bone, fork tender, seasoned to perfection. Amazing taste!
• Good amount of serving
• Excellent service; reasonable amount; small area good for intimate conversations ;)

went here during a lunch break and ordered the lamb rack, definitely not dissapointed with the portion, and was initially excited due to the prelude of good bread, it was great for a free appetizer, well then the food definitely did not dissapoint either, the lamb was tender but not as juicy but still okay, the spices and herbs was perfect for the lamb's slight gamey taste, and the feta cheese and everything else combined to a wonderful lunch experience. although price wise i spent around $20-$25 so hmmmm it's okay.

My aunt decided to celebrate my cousin's birthday at Ramie's, I ordered roast lamb and I was very satisfied.

First of all the food has huge portions. Like you can share a plate. The roast lamb was very soft and very juicy. Definitely one of the best roast lamb i ever had.

Second, the service was superb. Everyone was very attentive. The place was not that big but its cozy.

Will definitely be back here. 👍🏻
There're lots of Greek food place in vancouver and this certainly isn't the best one. Nor does it have the most friendly empolyee. What bothered me the most is that they include their tip on your bill so even if you weren't satasified about your service (as a group), you'll still have to pay them at the price they like. The reason that tips exist is to reward the server and thank them for their service. It shouldn't be mandatory in any form. On the up side it's a really quiet resturant there's not a lot of people dining in this place.

Pita bread tasted fresh and it was very soft and fluffy.I enjoyed the food mostly! Very filling for the price offered, and service was fast and efficient. I would come back again.

Really Good Greek. I had the Roast Lamb. It was delicious lamb that was basically falling off the bone. It was a truly massive plate of food that could easily be two meals if you split it up. The bread and tzaziki with the bread was delicious. Overall good food it was quiet when I went and always looks quiet when I walk by but the food was really good and the service was incredibly prompt.

Excellent Greek food! The owners are my BF's familys' neighbour. When we arrived it was around 6pm with a reservation and the restaurant wasn't busy yet. But 30mins later the restaurant was a full house!

There were only 2 waitresses running the entire floor and you can def tell they were trying their best but they def need to look at getting a busboy or an extra server.

Anyway, the food itself was phenomenal. The tzaziki is my most fave of all Greek restaurants I've been to. Heavy garlic but light, almost like whip-light. Very addicting. Their pita breads are soft with a light toast on the outside; excellent! The roast lamb was fall off the bone and not gamey at all! And their Greek salad was super refreshing. Totally worth it to leave with garlic and onion breath!

One of my fav restaurants in the Burnaby area. Been then numinous times with families and friends and never a miss. Love their roasted lamb dinner. Go try it!

Wonderful!. This was my first time at this restaurant and I was very skeptical coming in. The service started out halting but turned out great! The waitress was attentive and friendly but unobtrusive. The devote was simple, nice and welcoming. Nothing could have prepared me for the food. The bread was freshly made, the vegetables you could tell, was fresh and very tasty. The meat was juicy and well flavored. I loved this place. This is definitely going in my books as one of the top places to eat for feel food!

Trying a new restaurant, Entertainment coupon, will never return. I like purchasing the entertainment book so that it forces me to try new restaurants out of my area. Normally this is a great experience and I get to enjoy a great meal.
Unfortunately Ramies is not one and I will not be returning anytime soon.

Normally I would order chicken souvlaki but decided to try something different. And I ordered the chicken with lasagna
The chicken was pretty good but the lasagna was disgusting and Ramies should be embarrassed to be serving it. It was a dish of baked pizza sauce and noodles with cheese on top. Had no flavor or seasoning and shouldn't even be called lasagna. It was so bad I couldn't eat it.... I have ordered lasagna from the local pizza place 1/4 cheaper and it was better.

With the 80% positive reviews I was expecting something better but driving from surrey to Ramies was a complete waste of time..

GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVOUS. It's the little things for me that separates one restaurant form another. Yes obviously good food.
But the service, letting u know the way to order that saves u money. That shows they know the menu and they care... And most of all when u ask for feta cheess, THEY ACTUALLY GIVE U EXTRA FETA!

A place for Greek food if Stepho's is too far. Ramie's have some surprisingly delightful dishes such as their Dolmathes but not on par with Stepho's in terms of price and taste. Most dishes at Ramie are above 1-2 dollars more than those at Stepho's. The calamari was small and chewy in texture and the lamb is just too expensive to even try. The rice is bland. The complementary pita is tasty but too buttery.
It is nice place to try out Greek food for the first time but, to those like me who have been spoiled by Stepho's, just simply walk by.

Delicious! A bit pricer than Stephos though..

I love Ramie's!. We often get delivery from Ramie's and not only is the food fresh, delicious and plentiful but they are always very accommodating of our dietary restrictions and happy to answer our menu questions. Great service. I'm not sure what's up with people saying there was no dressing on their salads, everything always comes perfect for us. I just ordered some wild salmon souvlaki and it will be oh so satisfying! Thanks Ramie's!

Boring, taseless food. Ate dinner there yesterday, greek salad was fresh cucumber diced up, no dressing. Chicken was bland and hard. Rice was dried up and tasteless. Tsatsiki was tasteless, yet I ordered another one as that was the only dipping sauce - the 2nd tiny little bowl (one tablespoon maybe) cost me extra $1.75. No never going back!

Decent but not worth going back. I was craving Greek food and the closes place to my house was Ramie's, so i went in there with my boyfriend today and it was just decent. I personally think its overpriced for what it taste like. I had to wait about an hour for our food and we were the only one that was ordering, everybody else has ordered already so i was not pleased with the waiting time. I ordered the chicken soulvaki. The chicken was tasteless, the greek salad was tasteless, pretty much everything was tasteless even the tzatziki sauce was tasteless. The only thing that was not bad was the pita bread. Customer service.. they were nice but nothing over the top. they werent rude, but they didnt come to ask how the food was or anything so just overall its just a okay place. Steffo's will probably satisfied my cravings more forsure.

I like Minoa's bettter. OKay...Everything was crisp & fresh....The salad ingredients were obviously just bought & chopped up...but it had no flavour-there was NO dressing on it. Isn't there supposed to be some olive oil & oregano in there? A little lemon or red wine vinegar? I swear NOTHING... I had calamari...it was chewy & dry. The second time we came I had Moussaka- it was also dry and missing flavour...not enough garlic, olive oil, nutmeg in the bechamel, cinnamon & oregano in the meat. Not enough lemon in the potatoes & the rice was boring.

This place was awesome. Great service. Called last minute for a pick up order and they did it. Said they would wait for me. The food was awesome and fresh. Very professional and great atmosphere in the restaurant.

I was very disappointed. The moussaka tasted so old like it was frozen for months and just reheated. The beef had a funky taste to it. Never again. Bouzyos is the best Greek food

Good greek fare.... I came here for dinner with my family on my dad's birthday, It's right across the street from my place and I came here for take-out a while back when it first opened. (can't remember too much about it at the time) We ordered some appies to start, garlic prawns, calamari and they brought us some pita. They were ok. For mains I had the roast lamb, it was very flavourful and was quite a good size portion, it came with potatoe, rice, veg, pita and greek salad. Others had bbq ribs, chicken and lamb chops, it was all very good. Our server was very nice and brought us more pita even though it was quite busy at the time. The decor was like that of most greek restaurants, maybe a bit more modern. Because we had a party of over 6, there was an automatic grat added to the bill, as I didn't pay the bill I don't know what it was, I think it might have been 15% but I'm not sure. Anyways, all and all it was a pretty good dining experience.

Just one bad lemon. I have had the worst experience in my life from any restaurant that I had went to.

First, we weren't given any water for the first 15 minutes after we had sat down. No refill of water or anything during the course of the meal.

Then we had waited over an hour (YES AN HOUR!) for our food to arrive. The waitress wasn't apologetic. She just came to us after 45 minutes stating she wants to "CONFIRM" what we had ordered. Obviously she forgot to place the order because she was chatting with the other waitress.

In the end, all we asked for is someone to apologize on the mistake. But none was given.

The food is quite dry. The only good thing about this restaurant that I can think of is the pita bread.

Me and my wife have been customers at ramies for a few years now,but were treated very poorly lately,we ordered a meal the other nite when it came to our door it was cold, not the firstand also our rice was missing which was paid for ,when we foned up to complain we were offered a credit,so we decided the next nite we would get our rice re delivered but they wanted to charge us 2 bucks deliverywhen we complained we were threatened that we would be put on a no delivery list,im disgusted at how they treated good customersand we never got our money backthat was STOLEN so beware, the customer service was poor and so was the food ramies should be ashamed

Decent Greek Food.. If you like meat, you should get the Combo Platter ($43.95). That thing was such a monster, it's got everything from calamari, shrimp, chicken and lamb. There were so much meat the rice had to come in a separate dish. It's a dinner for 2, but it's got way too much food than 2 people need. It will definitely satisfy your appetite.

Gone downhill. It was one of our family favourites.... for a long time, but the quality of food has dropped quite a bit :-(

Yummy!!!!!!!!. I had my first dining expirience at Ramies this past valentines day. My husband and I throughly enjoyed ourselves. We had the combo platter, which is a little taste of everything. The lamb was mouth watering and the calamari was some of the best i've ever had! Despite how busy it was the service was great, our server was friendly and efficient. I would definitly reccomend Ramies for a nice evening out at a reasonable price.

Guess what happened when I went to Ramie's yesterday? I forgot to bring my wallet LOL. So in a frenzied panic, I called my mom in the hopes that she would bail me out but she wasn't home haha! Then I called my grandparents, they also weren't home. What then? I was out of luck! I sheepishly went over to the waitress and told her I left my wallet at home, expecting a look of scorn in return. To my surprise, the waitress said "I trust you because you've been here before!" LOL I've never been to Ramie's prior to this trip! I guess too many people look like me haha! The last time this happened was at Pho Queen, but thankfully my dad was nearby at the time and he came and brought me money LOL, or else I would have been DOOMED. Signature Dishes Ramie's is a Greek restaurant specializing in homestyle Greek food! Ramie's is located near Metrotown, across the street from Bubble World and Curry King Cafe! Ramie's specializes in souvlakia, but they have burgers, sandwiches, and pasta dishes

...to satisfy my cravings, my friend and I went to Ramie’s Greek Restaurant near Metrotown and Patterson skytrain station. One of the biggest reason why I chose this place was because it had pretty good reviews on Urbanspoon, as well as I had the Entertainment coupon for 50% off the second entree (score!). Oh and it was newly renovated- looks like a typical Greek restaurant with their blue & white colour mix and outside patio. It’s quite cosy looking. So off we went. I chose the Ouzo Mushroom Special – “1/2 chicken breast broiled with ouzo mushroom sauce” My friend had the Chicken Souvlakia – “boneless breast” These descriptions are as indicated in their menu. First off came the pita bread. It was okay…a little odd I thought because they had placed a buttered wash on the pita bread. It felt a little st

Great homestyle Greek Food. I love how they plate everything here, it’s like a work of art! The friendly service is a bonus.

After a long meeting with my fundraising members, we decided to go grab a quick bite before we ran our errands. Since we were in the South Burnaby Metrotown area, we chose the nearby greek restaurant across the street from the Waves Coffee we were at. As we approached closer, seeing the tinted windows and closed patio umbrellas made me think they were closed. We entered to find not a single customer in there and this time it was a normal lunch hour as opposed to all our other adventures where we go at the odd ball times in the day. A friendly waitress came and told us we could pick any seat so we chose the most secluded area where we could talk with a bit of privacy. For this day, shared the Combo Platter for 2 with a friend. Took our orders and very quickly got the first portion - the Greek Salad. Olive oil, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, top it with some feta cheese and olives; tasted like any other Greek salad. Personally not a big fan of this type of salad in general so I don't

I've mentioned a few times before that Ramie's is our go-to place for Greek food near our place. While we've dined in this small little restaurant on Kingsway before, more often than naught, we opt for take-out.

Surprise surprise, my brother wanted to treat us spontaneously to a dinner. He had been here previously, and wanted us to give it a try. Ramies Greek Restaurant, near metrotown. The menu appeared pretty standard for a Greek restaurant, although they did h

It’s a nice quiet place to eat I guess. The prices were reasonable, service was friendly, and the food tasted good. I think I would come back for a lunch in the future.
