We dine at this restaurant every few weeks. The food and service is always excellent. We recently took a few people with us and they were all very impressed.
We recently had dinner here - the food was great, as was the service. Unfortunately we left an envelope with a gift card at the table. Since we came from out of town the staff was most accommodating in keeping this until we were able to retrieve it. We're looking forward to coming again.
Went here for dinner and had my test Carbonara dish. It was cooked perfectly. Pasta was well coated and usually not a fan of cream in my Carbonara but I guess it was because no one cooked it right when I had it before. The serving is quite large with pieces of thick bacon. I will definitely be back to try the Vongole next time.
An excellent meal. Started with a fresh clam dish appetizer and followed it up with veal piccata. All four of us really enjoyed our meal and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Very enjoyable evening
I love this place :). Very romantic, incredible food!
Best Fish Soup in Vancouver. Food:
I had the fish soup, it was flavourful, chock full of mussels, clams, prawns for $8 it was definitely a good value.
We had the special seafood linguine for the entree $18, this was dissapointing, especially after the fish soup. Half a can of cream mixed with some salt dumped on to cheap linguine. For desert we had the tiramisu, it was decently average, a typical tiramisu.
Ambiance:
The room was a dark and dingy and a little dirty, not a place to chill
Recommendation:
I would definitely go back for their amazing fish soup but, pass on the entrees and desert.
The week before I headed to Toronto, I had a delicious dinner with my mom and stepdad at one of our favourite neighbourhood joints. The place is call L'artista . We discovered them at first through the Entertainment book, but have returned because of the
Both dishes we ordered were really delicious. The lasagna and the shrimp rose pasta. Tiramisu was also one of the best as it wasn’t very sweet. We went there right before closing, so it was not busy at all. The restaurant itself is quite charming and cozy. Service was good but it could be better. Overall I recommend this place as the pasta was one of the best I had in Vancouver.
A wonderful treat....
Have passed this restaurant thousands of times living in North Burnaby but can't recall ever dinning here, so the other night, my wife and I decided to, on the whim...and we were not disappointed. Arrived without reservations which wasn't a problem early one Wednesday evening. The place has a nice, cozy, comfortable aura to it and we were greeted with a warm welcoming. Our hostess Meghna was a delight..friendly, courteous and helpful with our questions. We ordered glasses of wine and their Prosciutto e Mozzarella and the Insalata Caprese salad to start with and share. Both were very good..Fresh, flavorful and plentiful. Once finished, our entre's arrived. My wife had her favorite, Spaghetti Alla Carbonara and II had my fav, Linguine Alla Vongole. Both were excellent. Sometime, some places can't quite get either quite right..either too oily or not enough creme or such, but they got both just right. One of the best Carbonara my wife has had and my vongole was right on... Kudos to them for that..!! Oh we had plenty for dinner, so only finished off the evening with a couple of Cappuccino's. A regular one for me and a Deaf for my Mrs. Those too, were very good... So all in all, we had a great evening...great food and great service from Meghna. We will certainly be back again.
Thank you.....
The food was delicious, I had the veal parmesan special, and my wife had Alfredo with clams. Bolt dishes were seasoned perfectly, cooked to perfection, and made with love. Ask someone with Italian heritage from the Northeast, these flavors definitely reminded me of home. The service was excellent and polite, exactly what I would expect from a family run Italian business! While I don't often go out to get Italian, as I often would look at myself... The chef here put my Italian dishes to shame and I will definitely be visiting again. Thank you for the excellent dining experience.
Cozy, homey, gracious. Loved our 'specials' - delicious, and generously sized. Extensive wine and beer list. Great Italian nite out.
This restaurant was really great! It looks family owned, very cozy great house wine! Decent prices too!
Amazing experience. The food is delicious and customer service is welcoming. Tried their pasta for the first time and we immediately knew that it will b our new favorite for pasta.
We ordered pick-up for two pasta, linguine ai gamberoni and linguine alle vongole. We are amazed by the taste of the food. Takeout is usually expected to be less delicious but their pasta is still splendid. Linguine is al dente, seasoning is on point and the portion is good. Their pasta tastes the best among the Italian restaurants in the nearby area in my opinion (I have tried at least 5 restaurants).
I sincerely hope they can survive through the pandemic as we are looking forward to dining in afterwards.
