Beautiful location, great servers and music selections, happy vibes and great foods as always. Free parking.

Nice atmosphere, lively. Tune Poke Bowl is very tasty. Fish taco is greasy.

My new place. The staff very knowledgeable and approachable. Whatever music station they are tuned into don't change it. You have to have to try the truffle frys! Fantastic! Wide variety of craft beers and wines. Extensive menu of entrée. As restrictions are loosening this establishment was extremely busy. Service was very efficient and you were taken care of immediately. I highly recommend it.

I don’t normally come to this location but I’m happy I did. We luckily made reservations as during dinner time it gets quite busy. We were seated right away. The food is consistent with the other locations. My favourite would be the butternut squash ravioli which was rich in flavour and very filling. The truffle fries are delicious. Service was polite and very prompt. Will be coming back.

My group of 3 went to Cactus Club around 730pm. We had noticed several tables open but were told it was 15-20 minutes wait. That's one thing I don't understand, if a table is open wouldn't you want people to come and eat? This is unheard of in any Asian restaurant, as they want more than one sitting. The food is always good. And the service is exceptional.
Cassidy Towers
Had a salad that was meant to have feta and asian noodles, among other things. I fear they may have disolved in the excessive dressing. The grilled chicken was cold and dry.

A nice place to have a birthday. We sat at the patio and they have heat warmers The staff forgot our order a few times (drinks or appetizers- waited for truffle fries for 30 mins and one person didn’t get their drink for 30-40 mins while we all had our drinks first) - this is where the lost star came from. The food was delicious. Blackened creole chicken : tender and cooked great. The skin was crispy and flavourful. Mash potatoes were creamy and the sauce from the chicken made it taste more delicious. Asparagus was cooked perfectly, a bit bland ( favourite dish here) Truffle fries and yam fries - crispy and the dipping sauce made it even more delicious. Yam fries is sweeter and truffle fries has a nice savoury taste to it Jambalaya Rice Bowl - a lot of flavours, a light spiciness to it. Has shrimps and variety meat to it. Steak and frites: least favourite, plain and wasn’t as juicy. The salad was a bit soggy. Wouldn’t come here for their steak Drinks: we had beach Bellini and passion fruit Bellini (if you like it sweet peach Bellini, but if you like sour, passion fruit Bellini is delicious). These are slush drinks. Definitely come back for casual eating and for a simple birthday. Easy to do reservations online

The restaurant was full when we came but got a nice outdoor seat, the food was pretty good. Outdoor seats were better than inside because was noisy inside. Staffs' service was average, the hosts didn't have welcoming face.

Cactus Club Cafe has opened their fourth location in Burnaby, and with it they’ve introduced a new brunch menu. This brunch menu is available exclusively at Station Square and is offered on weekends and holidays. Their brunch menu is limited, but there is the option to order off their lunch menu as well.

Servers were very friendly and enthusiastic. Their butternut squash ravioli is to die for. Also, they offer one of the best lettuce wrap!

My wife and I travelled from Portland Oregon to celebrate our wedding anniversary and decided to try this spot out, And boy are we glad we did! Our server Kyle was the man and he gave us amazing service and doubled as our BC tour guide. High recommend this spot!

Had an amazing time at the cactus club. I am part of the management team at a restaurant downtown and I must say that Ayesha is a stellar employee. She was so much fun and had such an amazing energy to her. Exactly what you want when you come into any restaurant. Such a great employee :) thank you Ayesha for such a great dinning experience.

Went to cactus for a girls night and was so lucky to be blessed with the most amazing server Ayesha. Recommended the best drinks and made our dinner 10x better with her presences

I came up from Seattle and on my way back home stopped by this Cactus club for a drink. Alex the bartender was an awesome dude and I had a great chat with him over a great beer. Although I came in close to closing time, service was great and I will definitely stop by next time I'm in town.
Heidi
I had the best experience at Cactus club ever!!
We had Ayesha at the Kingsway location!
She was so awesome and pleasant!
I wish every server was like her!!! Thank you so much Ayesha for your amazing service!!! xoxo

Just wanted to say our waitress Ayesha was AWESOME!! Wish we could have her as a waitress all the time. Ayesha keep up the fantastic work. All the cactus clubs need employees and role models like you. I’ll be back all the time.

The staff were fantastic. Friendly, engaged and interested in making it a fun friendly visit. Naomi and Sia make it another great visit to the Cactus Club. Thanks!

Slick waiting service with text to say table ready. Dedicated staff - greeters/ table host/ waiters with clear roles. Food came quickly and good portions, well cooked. Enjoyed cocktails which again aren't exorbitant

Table next to harbour window sought after and worth requesting.

Slight niggle is insincere robotic patter from staff but I appreciate this is standard practice and it's all asked in a very polite friendly way (Been asked same question every night for 2 weeks)

Overall highly recommend.

The Fennie burger by far is our favourite and even our all time favourite go-to burger place whenever we crave for a burger. The flavour is there and not too overwhelming.

The ambience is quite nice although it feels a bit crowded especially when fully occupied.

The service is attentive as always!

I wanted to express appreciation for the well serviced meal at the Cactus Club Cafe’. My business associates and I were able to enjoy our meal, relax, and discuss important matters in a friendly environment. From the very beginning, the manager (Rhoda) introduced herself in a professional manner. Our server (Ryan) and bar tender (Shelby) took really good care of us. It is obvious that Rhoda and her staff work well together as a team and was alert to our needs. Our selections included a few starters: Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Tuna Stack, and Crispy Yam fries. Our mains included the Butternut Squash Ravioli with Prawns, the Chargrilled steak, and the Blackened Creole Chicken.
Thank you Rhoda, Ryan, and Shelby for enabling us to have a successful business dinner together. We are looking forward to the next meal.

Cactus club is usually good at any location. You can never go wrong coming here. I personally like coming for happy hour since drink prices are pretty good. Also cool environment.

Mediocre service if you like barely hearing yourself talk to the person you're with since it's so loud and the lighting is so dim that all you see are shadows. The food was okay, as well as the price. Wouldn't say I recommend if you want to go to a nice restaurant.
Timothy Perry
This is one of my preferred places to go and hangout with friends or by myself if I am too tired after work. The steak is always cooked to my tasting. If you haven’t been there, I would definitely recommend and if you have been here, you already know the amazing staff and food.

I’ve been to Cactus Club a zillion of times but this location (across from Metrotown) has the worst service. Wait was long. We’re quoted 25 minutes, but waited for 40 minutes. Server was not attentive. She barely smiled and when she took our order, she didn’t even bother to spread out the food. I prefer to have my chicken wings before my dinner, but everything was bought out at the same time. I would still come to Cactus but I would avoid this location.

Went to the restaurant and put my name down for 5 people, and was informed that the wait time would be around 45 mins.

30 mins passed I went in to check with the server only to find out that my name was crossed off the list because they didn't bother to check the side of the waiting area (which was filled with people talking loudly at the time). The only to get response saying that I'll need to wait another 15 mins saying that I should have waited that long anyways.

Another 15 mins went by saw a table opened up available thinking would be getting that table. Only to find out that the table is given away to a different group who arrive later then we did. Then the server says that I have to wait for 5 more mins as they give the table away.

Finally got our seat after another 10 mins passed by.

Went to this Cactus Club location on a Thursday night. It was fairly busy, but was seated after 10-15 minutes of waiting. We ordered the Blackened Creole Chicken that comes with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus as well as the Grilled Tuna Club that comes with fries. The tuna club was underwhelming and kept falling apart midway through. Joey’s tuna club is much better. As for the Blackened Creole Chicken, the chicken was overcooked but the sides were good.

The service here was not bad, and the prices are what you’d expect for Cactus, Earls, Joeys and so on (higher than the actual quality).
Amanda Pang
I went here because a friend in my party could only eat gluten-free items. In all honesty, the pricing is a little much for the quality, in my opinion. There's a lot to choose from, and the service is on point and friendly, but I feel like the food wasn't really worth the price.
Beef Teef
Great location, great ambience, great service and to top it all off, great food. Try the dry ribs for starters and the Bengal Chicken is spot on. Well done, keep doing what you're doing guys.
Thanks for great service Samantha and Kelsey!

It Took us awhile to be served but the servers were nice. Usually Go here with friends after shopping if we don't want to eat at the Food court
(Metrotown right across the restaurant). It's a nice warm cozy place,

It's another one of those cook-by-numbers restaurants. It's okay, I used to work in one. Servers dressed to impress (and show off a little skin) in order to make their tuition or student loan payments ...they're amazing at their jobs but I wish they were acknowledged for their hard work instead of treated like second class people by a lot of patrons.

That aside, food is average, consistently decent. Beer selection is meh, but its cactus club. .

My fave? The Asian chicken appy (the name keeps changing)... Wonton chicken? I think that's the one.
This is another place with pretty girls in tight dresses but, who's complaining? Lots of Roy Lichtenstein type of art on the walls with trendy music. Our server, Brittany R was attentive and helpful. I had the veggie burger, which was crispy and might have been char-broiled, with hot stuff condiments. Terrific! My wife had the chicken fingers and was disappointed. Not a bad place but not outstanding.

We had a truly wonderful meal at the Kingsway location of the Cactus Club. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to answer all of our questions about the menu.
We started with a selection of appetizers: sea salt fries, yam fries, dry rubs and green beans in a Szechwan sauce. All excellent although the sea salt fries were just average.
Our entrees were also excellent. The peppercorn sirloin steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as requested. It was a little tougher than expected but still good.
My Rob Feenie designed Hunter chicken with four types of mushrooms was a total hit. Grilled with skin on and drizzled with a tasty sauce, this was definitely the best entree on our table. The grilled chicken breast was perched on top of a pile of pan seared green beans and double baked potato chunks.
The other entree, a bacon cheddar burger on a gluten-free bun was also a big hit. The massive slice of a dill pickle was a taste sensation.
For dessert we shared the peanut butter bar with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The other dessert was a molten lava cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and raspberry compote.
I preferred the molten lava cake although the peanut butter chocolate bar was excellent.
All told, our experience at the Cactus Club on Kingsway was superb.
Highly recommended and we will return again soon.

Bad food, bad service. I ordered steak with 4 kinds of mushrooms. The steak was tough and grissely and very salty. It was thick and hard to slice, even
with the butcher size steak knife they provide.

She ordered fish tacos, which were cabbage tacos with two french fry sized pieces of fish in them. She honestly couldn't
find the fish at first!

We ordered a salad -instead of bringing it ahead of the main, it was all thrown down at once

I had a 7$beer , she had an 8$ martini which was in a small glass with lots of ice cubes. She could'nt taste any alcohol.

We're not Cactus club customers anymore.

Worth the stop for good food and beautiful people. After having driven by a few times, I finally stopped in. It was a busy lunch hour, but two of us got seated in the bar area pretty quickly on a Tuesday. I got the curry chicken and my colleague got the fish tacos. Both of us had plenty to eat. Both dishes were fresh-tasting and pleasantly presented. The only drawback I saw was that the water glass looked like a super-sized old-fashioned glass and had to be refilled a lot for me to be satisfied. People were friendly to this American who had a credit card with no chip. Each person asked gave suggestions for what to order. I agree with another reviewer that the volume was a little much for much concentrated conversation, but there were plenty of beautiful people to give some entertainment.

Convenient location. Luv this cactus club as its conveniently located just across the street from metropolis. so i pretty much come here after every shopping excursion @ metro. my only gripe with this cactus club is their tiny darrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrk parking lot. i'm always wary of parking there in case my car get's scratched dammit. the best option is to pay metred parking on the street. their albacore tuna tataki in a yuzu vinaigrette and butternut squash + prawn ravioli are a few of my faves. great dim setting ✓ good music ✓ infamous bellini's ✓ good eats ✓

Waste of money ! Ordered the chincy fajita what came to the table was a joke . A smal barely sizzling pan with some onions and peppers and a piece of chicken the size of a chicken finger I was like huh this is worth 19.00 . As I got to my last wrap I had no filling honestly I'm not a complainer but this time I just mentioned it to the waiter in a nice way he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. No more cactus club for this Jack! Save your money there are plenty of other better restaurants. !

Whoa Sexy. Went here on a first date. Love the atmosphere. I like that you can go dressed up or casual. The food was good and eye candy service was friendly. Only a few downfalls. Didnt like how one of the servers was dressed in cargo pants like it will soon give up and go down hill, felt like I had to keep my date's attention. Also, my date wanted a certain dark ale, but they didnt have one, but said she had something similar, and brought a Canadian. she hated it. But the did redeem themselves when she brought him a different beer after that she ended up liking. A little more pricey that I'd like, but I would definitly go back! Love the ladies that make me tip $$$

Could review ths establishment 100 times. That is how many times I have been here. The waitresses are a bit older here than downtown for some reason but they nourish the soul (via the eyes) adequately. Tip full 20% all the way. Wear shades when with wifey which makes cutting my steak difficult lol. Really delicious good job on the meat and sides every time

Hello. Great service

Waited 30 minutes for my appetizer. Other than that food is great

Found a piece of hair inside of the meat of my burger.
Other than that , other dishes are yummy

Pricey but decent. I went there on a friday night and waited about 20 minutes to get a table for two. the restaurant looked very nice on the inside and gave off a club-type vibe with the lit up bar, fast pace instrumental music, architecture, and dim lighting. i felt like ordering a salad but decided not to after realizing i was going to pay $20 for one. yam fries were ordered as an appetizer- they were great but the dishes and cutlery were a bit dirty so we didn't use them. the dinner came shortly after and tasted good as well (a seafood spaghetti)

overall, the restaurant is a good choice for a date or get together but i wouldn't dine here too often because of the price and formal atmosphere

Late arrival to dinner. Got there after work where my friends started eating and the server was very nice and accommodating to my late arrival.

Had "The Burger" which was a pretty huge burger with everything in it apparently and it was pretty good.

Overpriced eye candy.. Well if you are here for the beer and the eye candy! it is a great place to be. Other than that, since when Cactus become such a high end overpriced chain store?

lunch menu is exceeding 25 dollar.
Irene Kristine
Eye candy. That's it.. This may be a biased point of view but there really isn't anything special about Cactus Club. The food is mediocre (although I would come back for the hot wings!!). I've been here a couple times with my girlfriends and the servers were snotty and didn't seem very enthusiastic. I don't care if a lot of their food was from Canada's Iron Chef. Maybe HE made them good but the line cooks aren't following up to his standards.

People who come here, especially guys, are so distracted by the attractive servers that they don't even see the bad side of service. Honestly, Cactus Club needs to start hiring skills not looks.

Great as always. I am very pleased with my recent visit to Cactus Club. Their food has always been decent; not out of the world but definitely considered satisfactory. What keeps me coming is the great atmosphere and the amazing service. Since i am a girl, i don't really care if the waitresses are hot or not; but i did definitely notice that they are all SOOO nice and approachable. I had a great experience.

Fantastic tasting food. Pricey, but great food. their grills are very good. great atmosphere for a first date or important dates.

Hmmmm.... I have to say that I agree with the other poster above. This restaurant may be the best spot in South Burnaby to bring your guests out if you don't want to cook at home. And the eye candies don't hurt either. However, I find the food to be mediocre at best. The steak is blah and so are their burgers.
Pdxfoodie
Good food. Nice selection on the menu. Decor was nice and the atmoshere is relaxed. Try the grilled salmon sandwich and salad. Perfect amount of food and a healthy choice. Prices were out of line for lunch. 4 people for lunch was $120 without adult drinks. $15 for a basic salad.
Misterm
Best spot in Burnaby. I agree with other reviewers about the "eye candy" at this location. Boots and tight skirts a good meal makes. I have been here with my wife but its also a good place for dates. Or with work colleagues if ya wanna check out the entertainment. Surprisingly the wine aint too expensive and the food is accessible and definitely healthy.
Erik
Just perfect. It's crazy that the other chain restaurants are so inferior to Cactus Club, or CC's as my wife and I call it. Don't mean to be negative at all, but the food is just so much better here. Service and atmosphere are uniformly warm, welcoming and ... appetizing. I find that once I've been welcomed and seated, and my server has introduced him/herself, I suddenly have an inclination to get an appy and a drink when all I came for was an entree and a coke.

If anything is ever wrong with your order, or even if there is a slight delay in service, you will receive a nice apology and often a free appy or desert for your "trouble." We really feel appreciated here.

My fave dishes are The Burger w/bacon and cheddar, Raincoast Greens and most of all the Jack Daniels Ribs. Wow, this is food.

Being honest, I would come just for the calamari and the cheesecake.

Again, wake up Vancouver restaurants, you are losing a lot of biz to Cactus Club, and a lot of my stomach real estate as well.
Mike B
Good date restaurant, went there with my wife and had a great time. The peppercorn steak was excellent! This sounds strange but you HAVE to check out the washrooms...very techy.
Frankie
Perfection in a restaurant. Took a customer and we got gerat food, wine and the best eye candy since.. since the last visit to cactus.
They make your food just fine and delvier it with a service. I got the girl's name but cant say it here. Just know they have best service at Cactus. I would go if I were you.
Frank M
Superior service and looks nd food IN RICHMOND!!!!!!. Cactus has always been a favourite. Though the prices have increased over the years, you are mainly paying for the ambiance (including those girls) and decor which is rather unique. Food is good but can get pricey. You can take a client or a lady friend and expense it. But why bring a date when there are so many ladies with skinny legs here?
Like i said this is the kind of place you dont bring a date.
However even the quesadilla at under $10 tastes excellent.
Service is quite good. The staff and waitresses are upbeat and sexy.
Very trendy style place but highly recommended. It's pricey but not too pricy, it's romantic but casual sports bar like at the same time.
MOROSE
Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!. What can I say? Good steaks? Check? Full bar? Check. Appys? Check? Great service? Check. GORGEOUS WAITRESSES? Check.
It's not just the beautiful people who work here. The food is great. If it weren't no one would come back. But they have it all here. Ask for the margarita specials!

The Restaurant Cactus Club Cafe is one of the most successful restaurant chains in Canada, serving up international cuisine in innovative, creative ways. Many of the dishes are designed by Rob Feenie , Mr. First-Canadian-To-Win-Iron-Chef, who became their executive chef and food concept architect. A selection of his signatures are noted on the menu.

Out of all the causal dining chains, “Cactus Club” seems to be doing the best. With the most locations in the province, and a few on some prime real estate. Their two newest locations are busy by the water. One at English Bay and the other with a view of the Olympic cauldron in Coal Harbour. Which proves its location, location, location. I have been to several and at each have seen some unique pieces. I have seen giant iron pigs, stone griffins, a fat Mona Lisa, and a vase as tall as a basketball player. Below is a listing of the dishes I have tried over my numerous visits. Each beautifully plated and delicious. I have never sent a plate back or had something I couldn’t finish. All together I have pretty much tried 1/3 of their menu. “The Bellini”. Peach schnapps, champagne, Bacardi white rum, and sangria. Non alcoholic “Ginger fizz” with mint and blackberry & “Strawberry Splash”. “Signature Caesar”. Smirnoff vodka, mixed with their signature blend of spices and clamato juice. Finishe

Gonna visit again one day for their awshum appetizer and dessert. Their service was super good; the waitress tend to ask if we need anything, answer our question politely, and more. Total bill around CAD 45 ish. You always can ask to split the bill.
Constant Cravings
This rice bowl had shrimp, chicken, sausage, veggies and black bean salsa. I found the chicken to be too dry but I loved the flavours of the rice bowl. There was just the right amount of heat to it and the portion size was very good. I also liked that they give you a choice of white or brown rice.

Pesto Chicken Quesadillas 10.50. This order was pretty big and so cheap! Lots of chicken, and lots of cranberries. I didn't think pesto, chicken and sundried cranberries would really go together but it did, very well too. If you haven't visited Cactus Club before, I suggest you go to a different location. This one is very tight, small and not a very goof first impression. I suggest the Burrard location or the newly opened English Bay location.

We've stayed away from this Cactus Club Cafe for a long time… mainly because it always looks so busy and the parking lot is always full. I remember eating at this location years ago before they made their changes… back when they used to have cows all over the place. Big improvement (but I think I still miss the cows). We were going to eat at the nearby Sushi Garden but it was kind of busy so we walked down the block and were surprised to find the parking lot empty (seems they've had some car break-ins recently). We decided to go for some appetizers: The Korean style bbq pork lettuce wrap is something that we've had before and it was very tasty (and quite messy). Unlike chinese lettuce wraps that use hoisin sauce, this dish came with a spicy yogurt sauce and a Korean chili sauce. The chili sauce is more liquidy than hoisin - tastes great but it does make the already-difficult-to-eat-dish-without-spilling-all-over-your-shirt more of a challenge to eat. The westcoast pocket trio is, a

The pasta was al-dente and tossed in a deliciously sweet and tangy tomato sauce. It was served with a generous amount of scallops and prawns as its namesake suggests. Both were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly tender. On the side, were 2 parmesan crostinis which I didn't really

We were looking for a place to celebrate a coworker's birthday. Something classy and West Coast, with a good variety of dishes. Cactus Club fit the bill perfectly. It's a great place to have a corporate lunch. Cactus Club Cafe is a BC institution. The culinary vision for Cactus Club Cafe is led by Canada's original Iron Chef Rob Feenie. With a diverse menu as well as seasonal dishes, there's something to please every palate. We started with some Potato Skins ($10.25) instead of sour cream they use spicy yogurt, which made them more flavourful in my opinion. They also use cured bacon and a blend of cheese. The skins weren't too oily and they really hit the spot. One of my favourite dishes here are the Fajitas ($18.25). I really think you get your money's worth with this dish. The fajitas come sizzling out of the kitchen in a cloud of mouth-watering smoke. The portion is very generous and the fajitas are delicious. I recommend the blacken chicken, it's so yummy. Another dish worth checki
