Landmark in Burlington. Classic. Sure the bugers are frozen. Sure the owners aren't the same as they were when I was a kid. But they kept those fried onions (best burger topping ever!) there and the fries are top notch! Souvlaki is typically well done by a Greek cook. Friendly owner is working 16 hour days to serve you. Open REALLY late - best place to service the late-night bar crowd and there is sometimes a line up around the block at 2:00am. Don't forget to order a Pepperoni Pizza (to which the owner will reply: $75.)

Delicious food, probably one of the best Greek places. Reasonable prices with good size servings. Their fries just hit the right spot, even though you can see them freshly steaming with lots of grease haha if you are feeling like it. Highly recommend the burger with lots of pickles. I loved how they use finely shredded lettuce in their food.

When we asked locals where to eat they pointed us to Charcoal Pit. Apparently Ryan Gosling still goes here and he has good taste! Lots of choice on the menu, the gyros was decent and some of the best fries I have had in town. The place was definitely popular at 1am. Food could have come quicker (took maybe 10 minutes) but the guys behind the bar were friendly enough. Definitely supassed my expectations and would be back.

If it's good enough for Ryan Gosling, it's good enough for me. I ordered the Banquet burger (back bacon and cheese) with fresh cut fries and it was all cooked to perfection - exactly what I needed and had hoped for from a classic side-of-the-road diner. If you are out and about in Burlington and have a hankering for a juicy burger, make sure you check out Charcoal Pit - delicious and satisfying. A+

A Burlington classic for many years, if you go down by the lake at all you have to stop in and try it out at least once. Burgers, fries and now lots more on the menu!

Don't be fooled by the look of the facade this place is legit. I tried their chicken soulvaki greek salad and it was delicious. Chicken was soft and salad was fresh I hate it when you get soggy lettuce (not the case at this place). Trying the gyro soulvaki today. Service is also pretty good and attentive. I had ordered and was waiting in the car and the server was kind and thoughtful to come outside in the cold to hand me my order with a big smile. Recommend this place for solid Greek food in Burlington 👌🏽
