Atmosphere is nice. The food portions have certainly gotten better in the past year, though the menu could use some more variety. Food was prompt even though it was busy. The food was cooked well and tasted good. The staff was very friendly and were wearing masks. They were also cleaning regularly.
They do need to do some safety maintenance around the outside of the building. Some light bulbs are broken and strings of lights were hanging on the ground. They also have one of the wheelchair ramps blocked off but there are others accessible.
Second visit here today, Rode on motorcycle from Paradise Newfoundland with my wife.
Place was full as expected being supper time but got a table after about 30 minutes.
We got seated in the corner against the wall passed the men's washroom, everything flowed smoothly until we noticed tables being sat after us.
A short while later those tables got their food.. We're still waiting...... Finally as those tables were paying their bill, Our order comes out.
It's a safe bet to say that we fell through the cracks amongst the kitchen /server hustle and bustle.
The food was AWESOME, but having to wait close to an hour for poutine seems a bit much.
Perhaps, I'm wrong?
Will be back, because the food is worth the wait lol
A wonderful place! To begin, the drive out is an amazingly beautiful trip. Once you get to Smugglers, you can take a cruise by the old town facade before a great meal cooked and served by even better people. We've eaten there on several occasions and have hosted events there as well. They are great at what they do and the evenings go off without a hitch.
