Excellent. Went there several times with my mom who is Czech. She liked it very much, as did my sister and I. My mom was 91 years old and quite fraile, and once when I came with her, the owner noticed me struggling with her and ran out of the restaurant to help me. He also helped when we left.
So great food and great staff.
With new developments in the sub urban area, more and more big franchise restaurants are taking up the commercial areas. Back in the days, small towns have commerce and residence all mismatched on the same street. Biking around with my group of friends a few years ago, we came across a restaurant situated on a purely residential area. Recently that restaurant came to my mind and I was wondering if it was still alive there. So I paid a visit and it sure was standing strong!
A trip into Eastern Europe!. Bohemia is a house in the middle of a residential street, so far off the map you wouldn't even find it unless you were looking for it. Which is too bad, because they serve what I find the best eastern european food (Czech) in the South Shore, and reasonably comparable to the quality you would find at standout European cuisine in Montreal a la Stash Cafe
(http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/67/723083/restaurant/Montreal/Old-Montr-al/Stash-Cafe-Montreal).
But the best thing about this quaint home is that the atmosphere; you feel transported to a home in the middle of Eastern Europe, with a decor to match the restaurants you would find in that area, and it reminded me of a recent trip to Prague.
The food is not inexpensive but reasonably priced for the quality, for decent but not huge plate sizes, and the beer is top notch (they have a local czech beer that is fantastic, called TchequeBec, and the standard Pilsner Urquell)
Unfortunately they are only open for dinner from 5pm to 9pm on Saturday's, otherwise they serve breakfast from 7am-11am daily and 7:30am-1:30pm on Saturdays and lunch until 3pm daily and Saturdays until 2pm
