as i am from BC where the chinese is awesome i found a lot of restaurants serve what we call canadian chinese food but the golden bowl serves the real stuff and even asked if thy make something for me not on the menu and they do friendly service it like a bit of home for me
I drive in, 45 minute drive to get this food. The service is great, I have never had any problem with cleanliness, always get a receipt if i want it (not everyone wants a receipt, I work in a place where I am obliged to give my receipt...no one wants it) Cool eats, don't know what happened for you but if you never go there you will be missing one of the very best General Tao's and Broccoli Beef. Jmcecilia...don't know what happened when you were there...I guess to each there own...but again. I travel 45 minutes to get it and 45 minutes to return home...not too many places I would go out of my way for...but this is well worth the trip.
Looks bad at the front but food and portions are excellent . Try General tao - Chiken peanuts sauce & Shangaii nodlle , Those are awersome :)
Amazing! Food is really good. Fast service and you get a good quantity for the price you pay. Will be going back for sure. PS. They only accept cash.
I love this place. I go so often that the owner knows my name. I've tried about 10 different items off the huge menu and I have yet to be disappointed.
Fav chinese restaurant. I have been going there regularly for years!! the food is cheap especially for the portion of the order. me and my boyfriend we are two strong eaters. and one appetizer and one entrée is plenty enough for us. Entrees are about 9-14$. taste GREAT!
I like this place. Great variety of dishes. Portions are very large too.

This is and always will be my top 3 favourite places on the south shore. They claim to have "famous peanut butter sauce" which is not only a bold statement but in their case can bring it further with "best in Montreal and surrounding areas". They're very respectful of vegan options as well and even picked up on it when I was ordering and gave me the heads up that the noodles in my dish had egg and can be swapped out with a different type. It's cash only and everyone should go shower them in it because they deserve it.
Place was pretty busy on a sunday afternoon, placed order by phone and it was ready for the time they told me.
The food is big portions and itll fill your craving just dont expect more its a classic cash only canadian style chinese spot.
I had the soy chow mein, the chicken pad thai and the orange beef they were all ok
Great food, friendly stuff, and generous serving sizes.
Have eaten at a few similar restaurants and even after all these years, Golden Bowl is still my favourite by a long shot.
My absolute go to place for all of my Asian dishes and their General Tao is the best you will ever eat!

Insane quantity of food in a plate for $15ish. We had the Shanghai fried noodles and Home special fried rice. The rice platter would serve 3 people! The food tasted great with a slight charred taste (the good kind) of wok cooking. I'd sit outside if it's summer, though, cos the indoor dining space gets quite hot
Bol d'or is probably the most known spot for asian cuisine in Brossard and they definitely earned that reputation throughout the years! Their food is great and I've never really tried something I didn't like.
They have great service, you can call in advance to pick up and they will have the food ready when you get there. The prices are more than fair for the portions (HUGE portions) and the food tastes very good. Last time, I ordered the Szechuan beef and General Tao chicken which both came with rice. We also ordered the noodles with vegetables which were delicious but some of them weren't cooked properly.
I highly recommend Bol d'or and don't forget to bring cash, they do not accept credit or debit!!
