Really cute place to visit in Brooklin Whitby. They do have other locations though. My sister and I went here for lunch to try it out for a change. I ordered the weekend breakfast skillet because it had pretty much everything I wanted to try. It was very flavorful and colorful! I would suggest it. My sister has the mushroom galaxy burger and she loved it as well. It was the first time she had anything vegan! It was pricey but I mean I expected that. Ingredients are all organic and they do have gluten free options which is a bonus.
Great place with great ambience and awesome food that is indeed, 100% vegan. I was very happy that they knew the ingredients in their food which is such a relief when you have a lot of allergies.
I ordered the south west scramble wrap on which was quite tasty and rich in flavour. The sauce was creamy which was nice when coupled with the cheesiness of the Daiya cheese shreds. I also ordered the fries to go and from their texture and taste, it was clear that they were from freshly cut potatoes, not frozen pre-cut potatoes.
The restaurant was clean with a nice view of the quaint town from the patio, though I opted to sit inside. They offer free WiFi which was nice because I was able to get some work done while eating breakfast.
Prices are extremely reasonable (especially compared to what I’m used to seeing in downtown Toronto). It’s nice to see that there are vegan brunch/breakfast options in Durham region, though I wish it wasn’t so far.
Definitely planning to visit again over a long weekend when I have time to visit Brooklin.
Great restaurant with a nice vegan selection. Smoothies go well with dinner or dessert.
Let me say that for a meatless meal this is the best texture based meal I have had that gives the "meat-like" experience. A number of the dishes use shitaki mushrooms, tofu, tempeh, etc which are marinated and come out tasting good. Coming at these dishes with an open mind you will not miss meat for a bunch of these dishes. Make sure you get the right sauce for your dish espically when it comes to the faux wings.
Atmosphere: relaxed atmosphere. Like a piece of Queen street transplanted into Durham.
Service: Dishes came out really fast which was excellent. Staff was super friendly and had a lot of knowledge about the dishes.
Dishes in Picture: Gandhi smoothie, Poutine with Cremini Mushroom Sauce, Bacon Maple Tempeh Sandwich, Spicy Buffalo Wings, General Copper (inspired by General Tso chicken)
