Got the Tuesday special cheeseburger, fries, and a pop for 2 came to $20.20. Portions were large, especially the fries. Chunky fries like fish n chips but really nice and crispy even after driving home 20mins. Burger bun was super soft/ fresh and patty was tasty. Toppings generic. Staff were all very friendly. Cash only!!!! Difficult to get in and out of the parking lot at busy times. Will probably visit again, main deterrent is the location.
Always the best!!! Now that I live out of the country, when I m in town, a burger from here is a must!!!! Its always been the best I have had!!!
This Brampton tradition is famous for one thing: fries and gravy! Of course I also order a double burger with cheese and LOAD it with fried onions - something not often found at most burger joints.
But the fries, and particularly the gravy, is legendary. The gravy is rich and flavorful. Adding cheese gives you poutine, but personally I'd stick with just fries and gravy. The portion is generous and to take full benefit of that, order a half and half. That's half fries, half onion rings. Get gravy on the side to douce your fries while keeping the rings clean for ketchup. That's like having two sides with your yummy burger!
Almost everyone I know loves sonny's. The only thing I get there is the poutine and its amazing! One day my friend got just fries from there and we didn't like them at all which is weird because i like the poutine. I think you should go to sonnys one day and try it. I would recommend the poutine and burgers because most people that get there burgers like them and from my personal experience I know that I love the poutine there.
Perfect Burger Joint. You want a char-broiled burger with lots of fresh toppings made by surly men who never smile with ginormous servings of fresh cut fries?? This is the place. Burgers are good, fries are GREAT but you need to share them, the portions are huge. Onion rings are good. Lotsa grease, a fun guilty pleasure when you've had a hard day and want to drown your sorrows in grease and bits of char off the grill.
Huge portions at a low price. Sonny's is opened late and has never left me feeling disappointed. I've been eating there for over 15 years and I will continue to do so as long as I'm living in Brampton.
Good place to chill in the summertime.. Went there last week with a friend and tried their burger for the first time ever. I have lived in Brampton 23 years and I have never had it. It was very good. I love how you can request your own toppings and how you can see them do it right in front of you. Just like Subway. Fries were good as well but I think if I were to ever get their fries again, I would definitely share them. Too much for one person to handle lol. Staff is very friendly and building is fairly clean. it's definitely a good place to go to during the summer time. I tried their chocolate shake. Also very good. Nothing all too special, because to me it just tastes like an average shake I'd get anywhere else. Also a bit expensive in my opinion.
The original greasy burger joint in town. Great burgers and sides. If you have a heart problem then this is not the place for you. If you do not care about your waist line then step right in
Called on phone. I just called on the phone Sonnys to ask about the tuesday special. The guy who answered was pretty rude and not friendly at all. When I asked the prices without a drink, he seemed to get upset mumble a price and hung up the phone. Like wow I want the best bang for the buck. I was going to go try this place out and still will sometime but not TODAY! Can't understand with all the recent negative posts on this place a worker would act rude. I will mention I am the guy who posted this next time I am in, and I can't wait to see his face(I mention it good and bad to all owners).
So I had to check this deal and came in TODAY! LOL and must admit its pretty good.. Fries are home made and gravey is awesome, the burger I got was loaded and I think I should of not added the relish, pickles and diced onion and just had the grilled onion and rest of stuff. I give thisplace a 8/10 worth checking it out..
