The best haddock and chips! However, we had a waitress serving to our table, couple of days ago while we were ordering fish and chips, she asked do you want gravy on top or side? We said sure on the side. Thinking it was a gravy for seafood and included the price. She brought us meat gravy on the side and it was extra not included the price. Very disappointing….. Food and place itself really amazing so keeping our 5 star review because this place has the best fish & chips in the area.

Hadn't been there for a # of years. It's the best fish & chips I have experienced for a long time. The portions were large & cooked to perfection. Great fries & coleslaw as well. Donna & I will be going back for sure as well as our friends George & Pat. Our server, Tara was a great addition to our dining experience. Price was well worth it.

Very welcoming & casual restaurant. We had the Deep Fried Pickles (great!), Halibut & Chips, and Haddock & Chips. Fish was very fresh and tender, I personally couldn't tell the difference between the two except for its shape. Batter was a bit too greasy for my liking. Chips were yummy. Coleslaw was fantastic! Keep in mind the portions of fish are pretty big.

Barefoot mart

Lots of seating plus a outdoor patio. Staff were great. My roast leg of lamb was excellent but when asked if I wanted gravy I said yes not knowing I would be charged. The squid rings were very good and cooked perfectly. We had to send back the fish chowder...it was thick as molasses, no fish flavour just a floury taste. They exchanged it for a greek salad which was just okay.

#1 for a reason! This place was so lovely. Worth the trip ! The food was homey and delish. The best part is NOT the food it’s the incredible staff ! If you get a chance to meet the Bar Manager she’s a joy! The beef short rib poutine was her choice & did not disappoint. 💚

We went to Kawartha region for a shot holiday. This place was a nice find. Great food, friendly service and lots of beers on tap. Laid back and relaxing atmosphere. First time there but they make you feel like a regular.

Been going for years, the fish and chips are consistently good. There are options available besides fish. It's a busy place but worth the wait. We call ahead when doing takeout. Patio is located at the back of the restaurant.
