I think this place has massive potential. We tried it out 2nd day open and it was a bit hectic, frazzled staff, low supply of foods/soup. But that's ok because it has an amazing atmosphere. They sourced a great coffee, bought a bag and it was roasted just days before. My only suggestions would be a slightly higher brew temp on the latte , not Starbucks high though. Though I agree with the one size it seemed like a general dislike with peoolw that there was no option (even snobby transcend offers two sizes). And I'm sure once staff is trained they will be less frazzled because they were...just ok. Though they did cater to my daughters picky eating habits which we appreciated big time.
Anyways once this place gets going it will be outstanding I have no doubt.
Today was the first time I visited Jef's Café and it was just the best experience.
I'm not a fan of coffee, I never drink it, but my old friend Justin is the dude with Good Coffee so I HAD to sample some. So my review as someone who never drinks coffee, is this: "Coffee to me is still not a favorite, but I have to say that it was the most smooth coffee I have ever tried, it's tastes better than other coffees and it smell great!"
The atmosphere of the Café is homey with an artisanal flair, which I'm loving! And it seems to be the place where you go for amazing food and coffee, and randomly meet up with friends! It's like having our very own "Central Perk" in Beaumont. :)
I love Jef's Cafe! The atmosphere is cozy, the coffee is great, and I've loved everything I've ever eaten there - baked goods (both gluten free and not), sandwiches, soup, salad, yogurt parfait. Just a gem of a place in our town!
