Smoked Olives- Excellent, Plenty for 2 people. You could really get the nice flavours of the orange peel and the smoke.
Deep Fried Brussel Sprouts- on the sweeter side, but definitely tasty. Peanuts add texture to the dish
Moroccan Octopus- 3h braised, and plenty for 1 person. Presentation is done well.
Arroz A Valenciana- Paella has a nice spice and flavour, good amount of seafood.
Ambience well done. Open concept and fresh decor. Reminds me of a Napa restaurant. Servers all helpful & work as a team. The servers wear matching chucks and checkered button up.
Will definable revisit with friends & family.
I came here for my Mother's birthday. I was adamant on ordering flatbread, and our super cool waiter recommended we try the deep fried brussels sprouts.
Those brussels sprouts were quite tasty, and since they were deep-fried, that took away most of their bitterness.
The tapenade, goat cheese, roasted red pepper and caramelized onion flatbread was a nice start to an amazing meal.
After much deliberation, I decided upon the cioppino with extra spice. There were two whole shrimps in there! One of the shrimp, much to my dismay, was not deveined properly. The shrimp was cooked to perfectly, so I took out the vein myself and ate it.
Of the other meals I tried, their seared scallops on the bed of risotto was absolutely delicious.
They desserts were also quite decadent. My brownie came with a strawberry milkshake. The brownie was quite fudgy and it would have been nice to have a scoop of ice cream on top. I did not care much for the strawberry milkshake my brownie came with. It was watery and sour. Yikes.
Overall, fishbone is a great restaurant with friendly staff and an ever-changing menu. A lot of locals go there, so it is a good find. Come here if you're in the area.
