When I was little girl I always wanted to have high tea and my dreams came true the food and tiny desserts were so good def worth coming to and i’m here from Michigan so i’ll def miss this when I return home.

A friend and I had high tea at Tracycakes last week. The food was not great - the bread for the finger sandwiches was dry as though it had been sitting out for a while. The service was honestly horrible and the meal was overpriced. I understand slow service when the ladies are run off their feet but we were the only table in the restaurant for the last 45 minutes we were there! Not one of the 3 ladies behind the counter checked for refills, cleared our plates, or brought us the bill. My friend eventually went up to the counter to request that the bill be brought to the table. Very disappointing. We used to lunch there every couple of weeks but we won’t be back. So, Tracy contacted me and offered a do-over. What a difference! We went again today for high tea and had an entirely different experience! Our server (Cara) was excellent! She was attentive and provided everything we needed. We asked for a more savoury serving with less of the sweets and the kitchen was able to accommodate our requests. The coffee was hot and fresh. Thank you for asking us to come again, Tracy. Maybe the first time around was just an off day. Your staff proved themselves today. Thank you. 😊
