Decided to come over for Maple ridge to Abbotsford today I did eat lunch at your Abbotsford store. It was excellent as usual. now when are you going to open a franchise and Maple ridge we need a decent fish and chip store.
So as our trip to Victoria comes to an end and we're heading back home I wanted so stop for good fish and chips before I left. C-Lovers comes highly recommended in the Fraser Valley so we stopped in for diner. We very much enjoyed it. I had the Halibut and Chips and fish was very enjoyable. Loved getting it served in newspaper, haven't had that for awhile. Added the four prawns add on for $2.99. These were big and delicious!! Really good. Well worth the add on. The only thing is that when I eat fish and chips I like a little more west coast ambiance in a little hut near the water rather than in a strip mall so I do have to hit other fish and chip places in Victoria while I'm there just to get that experience but for good fish and chips in the Fraser Valley C-Lovers was good.
Great Chippy. Originally from UK and having sampled some of the best fish & chips, this is one is comparable to the best. Great clean restaurant with excellent staff.
The fish and chips are to die for regardless of whether you opt for the all you can eat, halibut or haddock. I always also get a side order of mushy peas, just like mother used to make.
The all you can eat with a pint of beer lunch special is great value at $14.99
Pretty good. Our usual take-out orders usually consist of this $30 or so bunch of fries and fish, large enough amount to split between five or six people if you don't want to pig out. Very tasty.
As for the in-restaurant service, I dropped in about a month ago. It said to seat yourself, so I did, but I wasn't spotted by the waitress. Had to go up to the counter to get her attention, but no big deal. Afterward, service was just dandy. My drink came out immediately, and I got a chance to try out their chicken strips and prawns. Delightful.
You might find chicken strips in a fish 'n chips place a bit bizarre, and I guess it kind of is, but they're actually really nice; I dipped them in tartar sauce even. Really, it's just like eating their fish (same batter and all) except.. it's chicken. It's denser and firmer than fish of course.
Really nice. Fries were great as usual.
I really do enjoy the food from here. I can honestly say in the good 20 times over the last few years we've ordered food that there hasn't been a single hitch; no quality concerns, foreign objects or the like.
And yeah, the inside service is good too.
I recommend trying it out if you were looking for a decent fish and chips place in the city.
Best all you can eat fish and chips in town
