Beautiful, peaceful, so much to explore and the best way to relax. Amazing food, and Staff. Very clean and well kept with rustic gems all over this stunning escape. I have enjoyed this resort for much needed "Me" time and returned again as a couple. Hottub overlooking the Lake and under the stars is very romantic and peaceful.!! Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a lake side paradise - you found it. Everything from kayaking, to row boats, to Hyde-bikes to bonfire they have. Private beach area, excellent chef (food is REALLY good) and hiking trails, driving range, badminton, hot tub, pool oh yeah and a beautiful lake that is not too busy. Sold yet? No? Check out these pictures. Well done Westwind - well done! Will be back for a third time.

Just back from 4 nights at the Westwind. We had a relaxing and successful stay. This resort has some very strong points: the setting is superb, with beautiful views of the lake and woods, very nice gardens, a pleasant forest trail, a good location for visits to area towns, a good selection of canoes, kayaks, water bikes, a rowboat etc., a very clean pool and deck. Our room was clean and comfortable, even though simple and compact (the fridge was exceptionally quiet). One point of excellence: the chef! Our dinners and breakfasts were excellent: very well-prepared, varied, tasty (excellent sauces), generous portions. The dining experience was for sure a highlight of the visit. The dining room is nicely decorated, spacious, with good views of the lake. All in all, recommended. A reminder: as the website says, this is a “relaxed” resort. It is cozy, comfortable, friendly, and simple. Some features (some furnishings, docks, etc.) are well-worn, linens and washrooms are of standard quality. The family running the resort seems to be doing renovations in an ongoing way (our room had a new wooden floor). If you are looking for a flashy, brand-new, “luxury” resort, Westwind is not for you. You will greatly enjoy it if you are looking for a peaceful break, good food, friendly, helpful staff, simple coziness, and a gorgeous natural setting.

We got one of the lakeside rooms and we were so excited. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the Westwind Inn. Here is why: - All interactions with the owner were unpleasant. The owner entered our room to investigate the source of a beeping noise that kept us up all night. We also asked him for help concerning the fridge in our room which was very loud as well and disrupted our sleep. He was very rude to say the least. First, he said that there was no beeping noise, until he finally called another employee, who confirmed that she too could hear it. Then he explained to us that “all fridges make noise” in a very condescending and arrogant tone. He also addressed my wife with disrespectful sarcasm that is not appropriate for paying guests. One of the “highlights” was when he noticed that the floor was a bit wet (we had just returned from the swimming pool) and after making an angry comment about it, he told us that we should take off our shoes every time we enter our room to avoid damaging the hard-wood floor by making it wet. He created a bad atmosphere unnecessarily. - We love hiking. Before booking our vacation at the Westwind Inn we called the, up and asked if there were hiking trails close to the hotel. We were told that there are “infinite hiking trails” in a nearby provincial park and on-site and that they are all walking distance from the Inn. This turned out to be utterly untrue. - The shower: no water pressure to a point that barely any water came from the shower head. Bottom line: if you don’t like being treated disrespectfully and want to have a nice vacation in a welcoming environment, go somewhere else.

The staff were very attentive and informative about local attractions to visit. My husband and I were upgrade to a beautiful suite as we were celebrating our honeymoon! The resort was a nice retreat for couples who like to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. We loved that all water equipment such as canoes, kayaks and paddle boats were included with our stay. No need to carry money with you to use any of the recreational amenities! The food was prepared by a chef who took personal care of each person's preferences. The food was fantastic!! Can't say enough good things about our stay!

I visited Westwind Inn last weekend and loved it. The rooms are charming and full of antiques. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. The grounds are well groomed and we had a lovely walk through the woods where signs are posted indicating different trees and foliage. The beach and dock areas are also well taken care of. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to do it again soon.

Lovely rustic setting for a weekend getaway. Food was lovely, beautiful view of the lake from the dining room. Rooms are slightly dated but the gas fireplaces make up for it :) Lots to see and do when the weather is nice, there are walking trails right off the resort.
