Review Wok With Yu - Woodbridge

Stopped by for dinner from a trip. We ordered soups for the family. It was nice and pleasant inside. Food was served in big portions. Fast and price is good.

Visited this location after a very long time ( 4 - 5 yrs ). Ordered Wonton Soup, Chiil Chicken and Chicken Hakka Noodles. What was offered was disappointing ! Soup filled with bean sprouts, no soup water or wontons. Noodles made of Thin Egg Noodles. Chilli Chicken was a saving grace . Ghey should change name to 'Guyanaese Chinese Food' reataurant, not as Indian Hakka restaurant. Add to their woes is lack of Hakka cooks, filled in by Nepalese cooks( who are a disaster ) . Hope the ownjng couple take charge of their restaurant ! Miss good food !

I usually go there for lunch. However, i found insects in my food. When i brought it to their attention they disagreed without giving it much attention. Apparently these are spices. I am not blind neither stupid. See the photo yourself… are spices trying to grow heads and legs now-a-days? Not returning here anymore. They could have offered an apology and replaced my food. I wouldnt have given the bad review otherwise. Someone needs to assess their kitchen.

Small portions bland taste and sneaky 75 cents surcharge for using debit/credit and rude receptionist. Ordered the beef and broccoli lunch special and wasn't impressed. There were only 2 people inside the restaurant eating during lunch rush hour. Wouldn't go back tried giving this local business support but not worth supporting again. Better options if you go east on steeles past the 400 for Chinese food

Good ambitious with awesome food. From Shrimp pakora to the Main course everything had its own unique taste. If you wanna try some authentic Hakka Chinese visit Wok With Yu, and you will love this place.

The food was delicious, delicious, delicious; we were offered a great amount of food for a really reasonable price. To the cook- thank you for making such good food for us yesterday; I was really happy and satisfied after eating it, and so were my mom and dad.

This restaurant was one of my favourites until I found out something disgusting in my food. I bought Chicken Fried Rice with Chilli Chicken and found a huge toenail in that. It was about 2 cm long. I tried talking to the management but they didn't give me any positive response or even apologize and kept on repeating that, this can't happen. Like seriously it just happened. Anyways this was actually the most disgusting thing ever happened to me.

Ordered delivery from here today. I got the sweet and sour shrimp balls and the beef chow mein noodles. The food arrived around the specified time. However, I was really disappointed with the shrimp balls. There were 1-2 tiny tiny whole shrimps, like....1.5cm shrimps, per ball that was probably 4cm diameter large. It was all dough! The noodles on the other hand were quite good. I would advise, if you're going to order anything from there, that you should order food where they have to provide the whole food e.g. beef and broccoli, noodles, as opposed to make something where they can skimp on the major and pricier ingredients. I would be willing to try this again, but not the shrimp balls.

We ordered take-out (dinner for two, lemon chicken and general tao chicken). Both the lemon and general tao chicken were unpleasant as were the doughy chicken balls. Will not visit again.

I drove out to Wok With Yu for lunch the other day on the request of a co-worker. The lunch menu is incredibly cheap (only $5.75) and the portion sizes are huge! There are about 15-20 lunch menu options to choose from and each meat option is served with steamed rice and either soup, a spring roll or soft drink.

My friend always gets the pepper steak (upgrades to fried rice) and she loves it.

I got the chili chicken with veggies, steamed rice and spring rolls. The spring rolls weren’t great. Actually, I didn’t like them at all. They had a weird taste to them. The chili chicken was good though. It was quite flavourful. The “veggies” were really just green and red pepper (which I didn’t eat - not a big fan) and onions.
