Review Teppan Cave - Woodbridge

I love it when I discover hidden gems like this one! Small and clean, the restaurant offers a cozy environment and the staff offers friendly service :) We ordered the “create your own set” with two entrees of Australian Wagyu and Tiger Shrimp. The food is great and the price is reasonable. Appears to be family owned, which I always love and usually tastes better than the chain restaurants!

I had set B from thier menu and it has been quite the experience. My Salmon lightly oiled and cooked evenly, my beef, seasoned and fried to medium rare, my shrimp, cooked to a vibrant orange and buttered candidly. My scallops were the best I've ever had. I'm picky as the only times I can get decent scallops are from red lobster or fresh off the coast of Newfoundland. It's impeccably cooked, it is firm with a hint of crisp on surface and tender yet retains its texture. You can literally bite it in layers. This place is a small diner and its best to have reservations. I recommend this place to everyone, you have to try it at least once. I forgot to mention but thier customer service is at the zenith of hospitality. Always retrieving dishes and topping off my green tea.

A fantastic hidden gem. First - the food is top notch! Chef Alex is amazing. The food is cooked perfectly right in front of you. The flavors... wow I couldn’t believe how wonderful and different it was from item to item. I had set B with beef, chicken, and salmon and each Item was SO good. The rib eye was my favourite of this set - a perfect medium rare. The chicken - crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside. Salmon - so soft and delicious. Second - everyone was so friendly! They were entertaining, very friendly, and made it a joy to dine there. Third - entertaining. There’s nothing like watching a hibachi chef go at it. Chef Alex was great - it was my parents’ first time there and they loved the “show”. Highly recommended place! Also, if you think you have a big appetite, you must try the okonomiyaki! An AMAZING appetizer!

Absolutely spectacular meal and experience. Took my wife and family for her 50th birthday dinner based on previous dazzling reviews and Chef Alex did not disappoint. Everything from the Wagyu top sirloin and lamb chop to the chicken, salmon, tiger prawns and scallops were cooked to perfection right before our eyes. The other servers were excellent and very accommodating. We went on a Tuesday night and pretty much had the quaint restaurant to ourselves for the final hour. If you are looking for authentic, fresh teppanyaki, this is the place to go.

Came here on my friend’s birthday. The restaurant was small but cozy; fantastic food with really service. The food comes in either a la carte or combo. The lamb was amazing!!!! The foie gras and angus beef was great too. Will definitely come back for the lamb chops.

This is a hidden gem. The chef made such amazing food right in front of you. I feel as if this is such a better value when compared to the other teppanyaki places, which have mediocre food. All the ingredients are high quality and so delicious. I got the Australian steak and it was amazing!
