Review Sweet Boutique - Woodbridge

I am very disappointed with the service and order I received at Sweet Boutique. I was under the impression that all my ideas would transpire as Sweet Boutique is popular in Woodbridge - I was wrong. I asked for a white cake with gold beads for my engagement party with some white and gold cookies to match my theme. I ordered a variety of different cookies, with different designs. I reconfirmed twice - once verbally (in person) and another time via text message. I received a pink cake with white beads. The top tier was falling off to the right side and sinking into the bottom tier of the cake. The cake was made crooked so I had to put a spoon under the platter to make it look straight. My cookies were very sloppy - I honestly think I could have done a better job myself. The V & G look like they were written with permanent marker. If you look closely, you can see the black residue all over the white part of the cookies. At least use icing/piping bag for the initials? I am so disappointed - the cookies and cake set a bad vibe for the remainder of my engagement party. I will definitely not be ordering from here again.

My husband always buys zeppole here but it was my first time in-store. Enjoyed a delicious cappuccino and brought home some super fresh traditional zeppole, cannoli and cream puffs. So good!

We had a really great time at Sweet Boutique this past weekend, the peach pie was absolutely delicious & it tasted very fresh! This spot has the best cannolis we’ve ever tried and incredibly yummy pastries & sweets. We’re definitely coming back for more pastries & to try their cafe crema! We highly recommend making a visit to this bakery :)

Bought red velvet cake today at Sweet Boutique and I was quite surprised how amazing it looks and the taste is to die for. I have been many bakery and this place tops number. I am so happy I finally found a place can make a beautiful cake and taste. The staff is so amazing, friendly and so nice. When I walked in I felt like home it's so beautiful inside and the staff walked you in with open arms. Can't wait to order cakes for special occasions and just to eat. Thank you Sweet Boutique for your amazing hard work effort making wonderful stuff.

I stopped in there today with my aunt, and I didn't want to leave. The smell, the minute you all in... to die for! AMAZING, delicate PASTRIES! And the staff was so incredibly friendly and welcoming! I will definitely be going back!

This place is beautiful. Inside is clean, the desserts are beautifully displayed, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Unfortunately, I didn't find the value for money here. The mini donuts are basic, nothing special about the dough. They're fresh and adorable though! The cream filling in the croissant didn't taste like much, yet, managed to leave a weird aftertaste. The cannolis are delicious, on par with St. Phillips but super small. Anything in the case (cannolis, Italian cookies, mini cheesecakes, etc) is by weight, which adds up fast. Although this place fell short for me, it's absolutely worth checking out.

I ordered a sfoglia cake for my sons communion. I have ordered this cake several times in the past from Sweet Boutique and so has my family and friends. I had an issue once before but didn't mention anything to the bakery as things could slip and accidents can happen. But this time I called and mentioned how bad the cake was. My hubby went to pick it up late morning. They opened the box and the top was all cracked, icing looked old. So they took it to the back to fix it. The cake was not a nice looking cake. But I thought to myself, as long as it tastes good, I'll let the bad looking cake pass. It was a soggy cake, cream tasted old, 100% was not fresh. Everyone at the communion including the banquet hall was not pleased. When I called the bakery, the lady said she was surprised and that she would let Anthony know and how she hopes we purchase from there again. She didn't take my number down. I don't expect anything. I just won't return and I know my friends and family wont either. It was an expensive cake. We went out of our way to pick it up. Just very disappointed.

I had a large birthday cake made by Sweet Boutique this weekend and my guests absolutely loved it!!! It was a sfoglia with strawberries and cream cake which was made fresh and perfectly decorated. I personally wanted to thank Anthony for the great job. He always sponsored events of The Scuderia Ferrari Club of Toronto and I was more than happy to go there for my cake. The selection of other sweets and pastries that were available were incredible. If you want to impress your guests then definitely go to Sweet Boutique!!!!!

Really unprofessional and poor customer service. Didn't get order right, didn't return calls, just overall a really bad experience and did not feel like a valued customer. Will never return.

This bakery was mediocre when it first opened but because it was a 2 minute drive from my home it was convenient. However, in the past 5 years I have preferred to drive further to get better quality at many of York Regions fine bakeries, for example St. Philips Bakery and many others. <br/><br/>What is most noteworthy about Sweet Boutique is their rude and dismissive customer service. I have friends who get their desserts from this place because of the very convenient location (many other must go to places in very close vicinity that cater to a huge Italian clientèle) but they are almost always disappointed or less than impressed. I encourage everyone to explore the many options we have in our community and to take the time to go the extra few kilometres to get what they are paying for. <br/><br/>Besides the non-existent courtesy or total lack competence in customer relations I (and many will agree) find the quality of their products substandard and their prices outrageous.<br/><br/>Try the Zeppole at Cosenza bakery. They are far fresher and much closer to the real thing.

The Worst Place EVER!!!!!!!. It is February 2015 and I just have to say, I should of read the previous reviews. This place is a big ole disaster. They are ABSOLUTELY what the others were saying. THEY ARE HORRIBLE. They messed up my cake order and told me "Vanilla Butter-cream means Vanilla Cake". Any dummy would know butter- cream is different from the actual cake cake. I went in to their "shop" and ordered a Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Butter-cream. What I received was GRAINY Vanilla Cake with even GRAINIER Vanilla Butter Cream (BTW, there was no butter-cream). Who makes cake where you can taste the sugar granules plain as day, in your mouth. It was HORRIFIC. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. When I called and spoke to a COCKY ANTHONY who told me he was the owner, he said the "butter-cream" was an Italian style butter-cream, what part of Italy did he learn that from? All Italians should be OFFENDED. This isn't my first time eating cake, but it will be the last "cake" bought from this establishment. He said that he would not give us back any money but would do something the next time we purchase a cake from him. I'm telling you, you cannot get any dumber than that. Why would I come back, so you can treat me like a dog to my face. NOPE, I'll pass. <br/><br/>Please whatever you do, DO NOT PURCHASE any cakes from there. Go to Fortino's (Woodbridge) they have better "Italian" cakes. If not just buy the worst brand of cake mix, add ten pound of sugar, do not bake it fully and then eat it. That's what your going to get from the Sweet Boutique. They weren't joking with the name, it is truly SWEET and INEDIBLE BOUTIQUE!!!!!!

Terrible Service and Extremely Rude and Unprofessional Owner!. I ordered a cake on Christmas Eve and was given the wrong cake. I called the store several times to speak to the owner and my calls were never returned. When I finally did speak to the owner to let him know what happened, he told me he would give me a $5.00 discount on my next cake. He was not apologetic at all and said that it was busy and mistakes do happen. I told him that this was not good enough and this was not good business practice considering they are the ones who made the error. He immediately got offended and told me not to tell him how to run his business and that I shouldn't be so bitchy!!!! Unbelievable.....especially since I was not rude. I was only making a valid point!!! I will NEVER shop at Sweet Boutique again!!!

Very unprofessional. Very disappointed with a birthday cake I ordered for my daughter's 23rd champagne birthday, the cake was very poorly decorated, the colour of the icing was not the colour that I ordered, the whip cream icing I ordered turned out to be butter cream. I asked for a peony flower to be placed on top of the cake...I was told at first that the "guy" didn't have time to make it, then I was told that he didn't see it on my order?? my peony was replaced with three 1" sugar roses that looked pathetic for the size of the cake! I was charged $125 for this mess that was to be 8" in height, which it wasn't and the sfoglia layers were covered with 2" of icing-NEVER AGAIN!

No way.... A hole in a wall in an industrial area in Woodbridge, i'm honestly surprised this place is even still in business. Its about the size of my son's bedroom. I went there on a whim with my wife when looking for a wedding cake for our wedding. Without even professionally greating us, the very hairy and sweaty guy behind the desert bar walks over to us and hands us a brochure (not even a book), nor does he sit us down and professionally go over the different types of cakes with us. He hands us each a pastry in a napkin and tells us thats what our cake will taste like and starts filling out a form as if we were buying for 600 bucks. My wife and I looked at eachother...got up...and left without even saying a word. This place is a rat hole. Stear clear.

Disappointed. My daughter and her fiance ordered and paid in full a cake for their engagement party. When we arrived at the restaurant and saw it we were very disappointed. The colour of the fondant was very different from what was ordered, it was cracked and smudged in serveral places and the writing was smudged. We contacted the bakery immediately to speak with the manager. Not there so left a message. No call back. Left another message the next day. Two days later and still NO response. Maybe if had of returned our call would give a second chance. But definitely do not recommend them. Very expensive. Not worth the money.

Won't return nor recommend. I ordered a birthday cake for my son a week prior with a pick up time. I drove to pick up the cake 4 hrs past the agreed time and the cake was not ready. I waited 15 minutes because they were still "finishing" the cake. Once at my son's party, everyone noticed how poorly done the decoration was - a toddler could have done better. On top of that, the cake was the WORST I've tasted. I think they rushed or messed up our order and made someting quick because the cake was wet and mushy like uncooked batter. We barely ate a few pieces and threw the rest out. All this time and money wasted for $75. Maybe they thought we don't know better. Anyhow, I will spread the news of how bad this place is.
