Review Flame Mediterranean Grill - Woodbridge

This review pains me as I wanted it to be good. Pros: Shawarma was ok. Price is competitive. Cons: - Wasn't greeted at all - One worker only who was on the phone via a wired earpiece before, during, and after our order. Struggled to hear us in part to the covid barrier and I'm sure the earpiece. Forced to repeat ourselves multiple times at varying volume. - the one window table was filthy from previous customers. - fries we ordered wasn't salted and was clearly frozen for a long time based on taste and needed the gravy we got with it for any salt. Pictures attached. Two stars only because the lady was really nice as she handed the food to us, just overall was a sour experience. Oh ya, I was the only customer. Felt like I was interrupting her flow.

The old man at this shawarma restaurant was extremely rude and disgusting. I understand that he is working alone so it would be slow but if that was the case, he should hire employees to help him out. He was helping out another customer before me and they were paying for their food with cash. You would think after touching cash that is probably dirty, you should either wash your hands or change your gloves for the next customer’s food. I wanted a chicken shawarma pita so he went to reach for the pita without changing his dirty gloves. I stopped him and politely asked him if he could change his gloves because he touched the other person’s cash. The man cooperated but then attacked me for not wearing a mask as if my concern with him not switching his gloves was a covid thing. Although this concern could be associated with covid, my problem with him not switching his gloves was due to sanitation reasons. And on top of that, he wasn’t even wearing a mask himself. Isn’t that a bit hypocritical? I asked him why I should be wearing a mask if he wasn’t and he responded back with “it is very hot in here. “ To be fair it is valid, however, when you are complaining about me not wearing a mask it isn’t fair. Everybody knows that culinary rules 101 is to wash your hands prior to handling a person’s food. Also, when I went to pay for my pita I paid with Apple Pay so I tapped my phone and he was very rude about that too because it didn’t work first try. He then rudely tried to grab my phone right out of my hand while I tried tapping again. Is this the type of person you want serving your meal? Because I know I don’t.

I had the vegetarian plate. I liked it a lot. The potatoes and rice were both cooked perfectly. The sauces were tasty. I got served immediately and it was quiet. I also noticed that the restaurant looked spotlessly clean! There was good music (in my opinion) and lots of free parking.

Best FOOD EVER!!! I am a big fan of chicken Plates and I visited this restaurant as it was on my way. The staff over there was very polite and cooperative. Moreover, the food was very fresh and delicious. Every thing was appropriate like garlic, spice level etc. I loved the restaurant and recommend everyone to visit!!! AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GOES OVER AND BEYOND TO MAKE THE CLIENT HAPPY AND ALWAYS WITH A BIG SMILE :)

I sent in today to get two dinner plates for lunch one for my wife and the other for myself. I ordered just the rice and chicken plate dinner and my wife the falafel plate dinner. I was very disappointed. First of all, the lady plated the rice for both meals and set them up with salads way before cooking the meat so it just sits there and starts to cool. This obviously would cause the rice to be less then warm and chicken moderately warm when eating. My wifes plate was fine other then not very hot. The chicken plate that I ordered she got a smaller box then the dinner for it like the falafel she had for my wife's dinner plate. Very little chicken was provided with the meal on top with lots of rice compared the multiple places i've gone and paid for a plate for 12-13 dollars with way larger portions. She said she "portioned it". I give this a one star for the way the food order is prepared and for the value of my money compared to the multiple shawarma places that provide a valued service. Thanks

Went inside and thought it was a bit odd that there was no music playing, but the place was clean and there was one lady working. It was one of those places where it was a little suspiciously quiet, but you had a hunch that the food would be good. Ordered the shawarma poutine and was not disappointed. Was very filling and tasty. Loved it.

This place is amazing! Great food and the shawarma salad my daughter and I love it. The owners are great and so are most of the staff except one lady in particular that was working today during the day. She is very rude and didn't listen to my order had to repeat myself 3 times as she was on the phone with someone and not paying attention to us. My daughter has a bad experience also in the summer. She was rude to my 12 year old daughter and defined her hot sauce. I will not go into the store while she is working.

I don't know how this place is still in business. The food is absolutely disgusting. Worst shawarma place hands down. I cannot even eat it if I had a gun to my head. Also the service is horrible. The employees are very rude. Just know if you go here expect to be starving because you won't finish it or expect to have food poisoning.
