Review Basilico Ristorante - Woodbridge

Great place for a traditional italian meal or pizza....great service....full bar...great coffee...top notch establishment...very consistant with every visit....a definate must if youre in the vaughan area....

Good atmosphere, good food, friendly staffs.. but the pizza dough for mine was so crunchy .. too crunchy that i cant use a knife to cut it. When u use your hand to eat it, the dough cracks and crumbs fall all over you. My husbands dough was fine though. The napkins that they provided us had millions of dusts. It went all over the place , when i unfolded, including our water cups. It was so bad that i sneezed couple of times from it. The craziest part was they asked if we want either sparking or still water- shouldve double checked if we can have tap water instead.. anyways they charged almost 8 bucks on water. They think they are in Italy? I dont know.. the food wasnt ...

We really enjoyed our experience for a family birthday celebration. The food was awesome and the portions were huge. The appetizers are definitely big enough to share. I had the fantasia penne and it was delicious, but I also sampled the stuffed gnocchi, the fish special, and the risotto. It was all fantastic! The service was also great. I don't know why this place wasn't packed on a Saturday night. We'll be back soon!

Had dinner there for my daughters birthday. She pricked but have been there before. First we went had a server that pushed beverages too much. Kind of annoying but that was my fault for falling into that trap. This time was great. Food was great. Nice Italian appatizers. Great tasting food. Service was perfect. So far 2 out if three times was good.

Italian bistro. Saturday night is busy. Went for a birthday dinner and food was good! Would recommend to try.

Went with a group of friends. The place was very quiet. Ordered a margherita pizza. They gave me a basic cheese pizza. And when I pointed out what the ingredients listed were on the menu and that mine didn't have any of them the waitress angrily grabbed my plate and took it to the chef who just sprinkled 3 sad little shredded pieces of dry basil on it. I took one bite and it tasted awful. Ambiance was bad and waitress' attitude didn't make it any better. I asked everyone else at the table about their meals, and literally no one was happy with what they got. What a waste of an evening :(

Went last weekend for my wife’s birthday and must say I was happily surprised by the change in service from the experience we had six months ago. I was going to give a review then but it wouldn’t have been anything in their favour. Our last visit was horrible and the only reason we went back is because we tried a couple of other places and didn’t feel like waiting an hour to eat because we had two young children and my parents who are seniors. Must say that the food was good last time but the service was beyond terrible. Hate to name names but I do remember that the waitress was Karen because that’s my wife’s name. She was terrible and should think of changing careers. She was not friendly , had a terrible attitude and tried to get rid of us cuz it was late and told us that she was usually home by that time. She was rude and definitely affected the restaurant negatively. Anyway I’m getting to the good part we did come in last Saturday and like I said the experience was mind blowing the food was good as usual but the service was beyond redeeming. We had a waitress and her name was Sandra and she was amazing. She was great with the kids she was great with my parents and most of all she made my wife’s birthday beyond memorable. She definitely has changed our feeling about Basilico and we’ll definitely be back to see her. On top of the great service she was so apologetic about our last experience and told us that she was going to make it up to us. WELL SHE DID AND THEN SOME. KUDOS TO BASILICO AND THANK YOU SANDRA

It's extremely upsetting that I need to make a bad review about Basilico Restaurant; But it needs to be made. I ordered a glass of red wine, with my meal. As I went to take a sip, in my mouth.. I felt there was a pulp like texture. I looked in the glass and there was over a dozen fruit flies in my glass!!! Instantly I spit it back out! Disgusting and horrifying. Plus Our server wasn't apologetic at all. Also he was very confused why we left instantly. I was in complete shock about the entire situation. As I said, it's very upsetting to me that I had to wright this review but this was not acceptable to me or any others that this could possibly happen to.
