Review Texas Pit - Woodbridge

Quality food and an old school family feel! Everything was amazing and I was very glad to see that they had fountain drinks lol. It seemed like most people coming in were repeat customers who they had built a good relationship with so that says a lot. Oh and they take take out orders via telephone. We will be back!

I’ve had breakfast here on two occasions, and I’ve enjoyed both times. Served by a sweet and courteous elderly lady, with the elderly gentleman being the cook. This place really has a mom and pop, warm and cozy feeling to it. I ordered three eggs, toast, bacon (nice and crispy), on the second visit I had sausage, home fries, and garnished with a piece of lettuce and tomato (I ate everything). Coffee was okay, but I found the cup to be a little small. I didn’t pay attention as to whether the coffee was free or paid. They have other things I would like to to try, such as home made burgers, steak in a kaiser, souvlakis, and these $30+ steak dinners! The restaurant with its light fixtures looks like something from the 80’s, maintained since then, with a Cowboy John Wayne poster on the wall. On my second visit I saw the same customers, I have a feeling these individuals are regulars to this local establishment. Friendly environment, quiet, and not busy for when all you want to do is enjoy a breakfast. My meal was $13 with taxes, if your in Woodbridge near Hwy7 and Martin Grove, give it a try. Thanks!

Cozy and clean. The burgers are delicious home made, the rest of the meets also are good charbroiled, milkshakes and beer available. Great value for what we get, you can see how they cook, nice! Very friendly atmosphere. Must stop by.

This restaurant wasn't my first choice to go too on Sunday (my first choice was closed on Sunday) but the reviews on Google wasn't bad and it was the nearest one to me. First off, we were greeted warmly by the staff and we got to choose where we wanted to seat. The restaurant is quite big, so I decided to sit on the right side of the restaurant where no one else was (because of covid). I didn't get our server's name, but he was polite and friendly throughout our service. When you look at the menu under burgers, you'll see two options: homemade & regular (I believe). Homemade means the ingredients are fresh and everything is made in house, whereas the other is bought frozen. Surprising, the server said he prefers the Regular burgers (which was honest because the homemade option is the higher priced one). Anyways, our food didn't take quite a long time to arrive. Both of us agreed that the patty was thin for what we expected to be a homemade, and it was dry. It tasted alright, but I did hope and expect that the patty would be juicy and thick. Right when got our food, our server never came back to us. Which was alright, because my partner and I didn't need anything else except until the end of our meals where I was getting thirsty and would've loved a re-fill. We waited and waited wondering whether our server was going to come back and ask if we needed anything (like our bill). We decided to just walk to the front and wait until someone saw us and our server came out apologized that he forgot about us (cause he was working in the back). We still tipped cause I know we are in trying times.

Clean family friendly restaurant. Came to pick up take out and the family really enjoyed the food. The steak on the bun was tender and delicious and my oldest said the burger was one of the best he ever had. I used to come here with my dad and now I'm bringing my kids. Great place a must try.

As a native Texan, I was particularly interested in trying this place. The atmosphere was nice and the customer service was great. The food however, was just okay. The burgers are a nice size, but the flavor is a bit lacking. The portion of fries you get with the combo is enough for two people.

Complete untouched 1980s diner interior. And this is a good thing. Total flashback to be here. Warm and comforting. Amazing food from the grill. That being said, definitely priced consistent with a 2018 restaurant. Don’t expect any budget deals here. But you will receive fresh food and friendly Greek Italian service

Overall, excellent family restaurant. The food is always hot and tasty, both dine in and for take out. A very nice menu variety and the owners are simply great people that make you feel like one of the family. Highly recommend this restaurant.
