Review Nove Ristorante - Woodbridge

I was there for a private event. The food was great. The service was excellent - attentive but not cloying. I'll be headed back. Seriously, the best Cornish Game Hen I've ever had! And the prosciutto, figs & basalmic glaze - yummy.

What an outstanding evening full of great food and even better service, something difficult to find both of these days! We have frequented this restaurant pre covid but most recently have had larger group dinners and everything from beginning to end has been magnificent. Definitely looking forward to future outings at this restaurant! Last night we were served by Massimo who was just amazing and also Jessica a couple of weeks ago who was also great! All their dishes are magnificent, Bravo Nove!

Nice ambiance and waitress. Food was good. Didn’t finish my pasta dish. Asked for a bit of extra sauce and chef said there’s an extra charge for that lol. Don’t nickel and dime me. Keep your extra sauce. Won’t go back on principal

Hosted my engagement party here the past weekend. Food was amazing, no complaints. Service was amazing.

Great wait staff and pretty standard food for an Italian restaurant. There are multiple levels separated by stairs but the entrance is wheelchair accessible if someone holds the doors. The location is busy at lunch but you can get in and out in less than 45 minutes.

This is a fabulous restaurant in Woodbridge that brings me back to my summer eating my way through Italy. To start, we had the Supplì ($10) and the Polpette ($12). The supplì had a light crispy shell with a cheese center and zesty fresh tomato sauce on the side. Taking a bite of it transported me back to the food markets of Rome. The Polpette was probably my favourite part of the meal. The veal and pork meatballs were so flavourful, juicy and tender and the tomato sauce and slices of Padano cheese on top made it even better. For our mains, we had the Pappardelle ($20) with a flavorful, tender, melt in your mouth braised short rib ragu. The noodles were thick and perfectly cooked. The Ravioli Riccardo ($18) was stuffed with wild boar and Padano cheese and then topped with perfectly cooked crimini mushrooms, roasted cherry tomatoes and a savoury browned butter sauce. A great mix of sweet and savoury flavours in this dish. The Risotto ($21) was perfectly cooked with the rice maintaining just a slight firmness in the center. Served with wild assorted mushrooms and Padano cheese, and simmered in white wine and mushroom stock, this was a creamy and tasty dish. When I dined here, the main restaurant was closed and we ended up eating in the side banquet hall so I cannot comment on the atmosphere of the actual restaurant - but from looking in through the window, it looked classy and beautiful. This was a wonderful meal with first class service and surprisingly large portions. Will not hesitate to return.

I had a really great time at this restaurant! Went here for a Christmas party. The atmosphere is very nice. Live music, soft lighting, cozy seating. <br/>We had a whole bunch of courses which were all quite delicious, my favourites were the antipasto and seafood. My least favourite was the rigatoni course. It was just kind of bland. The coffee and expresso were a fantastic end to a large meal. The wait staff were friendly and really great! I left feeling very satisfied.

Just another Italian restaurant. Service was quick . Food was fine...nothing extraordinary. Though it was very busy with loads of large groups. But noisy for my taste.

Food was just fine, but the service wasn't. Had to keep asking for basics. There are a lot more reasonably priced Italian restaurants with better quality to choose from in Vaughan.

Let down. Poor service and not impressed with the food. Ordered Cornish hen which was just ok nothing great. They gave me 2 yes only 2 small pieces of potato and 6 small green beans. Really, last time I checked potatoes were still one of the most inexpensive foods you could buy! My husband ordered a steak. When he asked the waiter what it came with he was told roasted potatoes. Asked if he could have fries instead. They don't have fries. He got 2 small pieces of potato too. Shame! Shame!

Very pleased!. I was driving by the restaurant, and decided to pop in quickly. My daughter was craving pizza. From the beginning to the end the service was remarkable. The chef himself came by the table and paid extra attention. He noticed I was there with two small kids, and made sure that I was satisfied throughout my entire meal. Just from a first impression, Rick is an extremely well mannered person, and really knows how to make the customer feel welcome. It was my waiters first time on the job, and as well I was very impressed with the attention I recieved. Thank you for a very great first time experience at your restaurant. I will certainly be back and recommend your place to others.

Excellent Service. We had my daughter's Communion and could not be happier. Their service was excellent, food quality clean and fresh, lots of room and an overall very friendly atmosphere. Book with confidence, it's one of the best in Vaughan.

Where to DINE now. Nove means "nine", but with a grill like no other, dining here is a clear "ten". From the moment we open the doors we are welcomed by the aromas of the charcoal grill and wood-fired oven. Cornish hen, tender and crisp, is the star of a platter of grilled meats from NY strip steak to Ontario lamb. Chef Rick Antonucci makes his rounds to ensure his guests are content.<br/><br/>We are. Risotto with field mushrooms and reggiano cheese, simmered in white wine and mushroom stock, is a luscious mouthful of flavour. The pizzas are chock full of a garden of ingredients, and we devour the crunchy thin crust. Fresh linguini simmered in a white wine tomato broth ribbons around a medley of king crab, shrimp, calamari, mussels and clams. We arrive early, knowing tables fill up, for the love of good food.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful. What a magical experience of true happy evening. Food is great! Rick is wonderful he is the chef!!!!! Team unbelievable, friendly, and always trying to make it a great experience. The music omg. they are wonderful wonderful wonderful. If I not cooking I am at Nove fridays and saturdays.

Good time!. Was recently there for a communion and I really enjoyed the food, especially the pizza. The staff was very friendly and always asked how we were doing. I went back a week later for dinner with my husband. He had steak (from a charcoal grill), and I had risotto with pancetta and arugula. Both fantastic. Will definitely be going back!

Great Food and Nice Atmosphere!. My family and I ate at Nove and had a wonderful experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. Our appetizers and all came out in a timely fashion; very yummy and fresh. My entire party enjoyed their main course! We each ordered something different as the menu appeals to a variety of appetites, and not one dish was a disappointment. It is very hard to find a good restaurant that serves quality food and I have to say that Nove met all our expectations! Overall I will be sure to come back with my friends and family!

Birthday Dinner. I went to Nove this past weekend for a birthday function and unfortuantely, was very disappointed in the food at Nove! My Osso Bocco was has tough as the bottom of a sole! How could that happen? Old meat? 2 out of 3 that ordered the veal found the meat tough as well! Have been there 3 times in total the other 2 times I would have to say that the food was good. Don't know what happened this time.<br/><br/>When I came in, I asked the girl at the front what the special was for Valentine's dinner, which was the first thing I saw when I came in....her response, Oh, well I don't know. Are you kidding me! INFORM YOUR STAFF!!!!<br/><br/>Great service, great music, that's about it. In order to stay in business, you may need to kick it up a knotch in respect to the quality of food being served.<br/>:(

NOT GREAT FOOD !. First time at Nove ristorante. I have to say that the food was nothing great. The olive spread was very dry and the hot pepper spread was deadly hot (not appropriate for the general public). The pasta sauce is not the authentic Italian, very thick, heavy, and acidity. Calamari and shrimp overcooked, therefore rubbery. You should read your reviews and listen to your customers. I should be in that kitchen cooking!<br/><br/>Portions way too big.. need quality and not quantity!<br/><br/>The Menu could use some improvement in terms of colour, hard to read from the black background!<br/><br/>Needs a more welcoming entrance ??<br/><br/>Music is way too loud for the environment, cannot even carry out a conversation.

Family Christmas Party. We went for a family Christmas party a few weeks ago. The staff was freindly and answered all of our questions. And guess what, what we ordered off the menu is what we got. I ordered veal scallopini and I got scallopini, not veal parmigano. My cousin ordered a white pizza, and got a white pizza. If you are wondering what I am talking about, read LEWBS review.

Amazing Italian Cuisine. The staff is friendly and the chef is amazing and making authentic Italian food! Delicious I recommend it for anyone who wants a filling delicious Italian meal

Thought it Would be Different. I ate at Marino's before it became Nove, the Marino"s experience was disgusting. I saw a new name and assumed a change in management, so I tried it again. I made the mistake of suggesting to our friends that we try this new Nove, the restaurant is very nicely decorated and the calamari appetizer was okay and that's it, the pizza appetizer was dry and bland, the carpaccio was tasteless, the seafood pasta was overcooked and the sauce wasn't that great. The service was slow and the staff wasn't very professional, when we finally got our food, it wasn't that great, very bland and unappealing my friends gave me grief over the fact that I suggested this restaurant. What a mistake, I found out the chef is the same guy that cooked for Marino's now chef/owner of Nove, the food sucked before and it still sucks now, definitely will not give it a third try

Be careful at Nove if you have a food sensitivity or allergy. Last evening we celebrated a friend’s birthday @ Nove in Woodbridge. The service was unprofessional and unreliable. I have a food allergy, and despite the fact that I told the waiter twice, and watched him write the allergy on his note taking pad, the server brought me a salad with thick chunks of cheese hidden under a layer of salad which had no dressing. <br/><br/>Upon realizing that the kitchen staff had placed cheese in my salad, I sent the salad back to the kitchen and was furious. The waiter did not apologize and did not bring me a new salad, he only brought over a colleague who did not speak with me, but looked at our table and rudely discussed something very quietly about us.<br/><br/>I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you have a food allergy or sensitivity. The staff is unprofessional and the service is horrid!

Buon Appetito. I found the food was amazing. Good portions. Good prices. Nice decor and inviting atmosphere. The wait staff was very pleasant and accomodating. The service was fast and the food was served nice and hot. I would definitley go again and would recommend Nove Ristorante to my friends and family. Buon appetito!!!

Mixed Bag at Nove. We came for the first time on a promo coupon. This place is a little bit Jekyll & Hyde, some friendliness, some perceived indifference, some attitude, some extra effort. The food was good though, the music pleasant although too loud. There are so many places to try now, we are usually able to take advantage of <br/>some kind of promo. But if one wasn't available, we might return to this place because in the end, the food<br/>was better than average.

I have never had a more pleasant experience at a restaurant! We had a very nice table set up on the raised level of the restaurant. The decor is very chic and clean- not overcrowded at all. The staff and service were absolutely amazing and very accommodating. I actually really liked how the head chef Rick made his rounds ensuring that the clients were pleased with their meals and introducing himself. I believe that this is great professional service. It is great to see who works in the kitchen!! The servers were fantastic and did whatever they could to ensure that our Nove experience was perfect. The food was wonderful. The Fagioli and Rapini appetizer was excellent and if I may suggest: the Risotto al Funghi with a bit of Truffle Oil was to die for!! The steaks we ordered were cooked to our liking and seasoned with perfection. The prices are great for the area. This place is definitely one that everyone should visit for fantastic food, service and live entertainment.

Amazing. The food is the most genuine Italian food I have had in the city thus far. The chef and staff were very accomodateing. The wine selection and price is by far the best in the area. Will definately recommend to family and friends.

Not Happy. Went for dinner, and despite knowing the Chef through another aquaintance the SERVICE WAS STILL TERRIBLE. Chef was not friendly and stomped around like "the king of the castle". Aside from the hostess & friendly bar help who served our drink as we waited for our reserved table, the servers were not friendly, lacked genuine interest in the experience of their patrons and clearing of table and refreshment/dessert options were done completed until asked. <br/><br/>During dinner there was live entertainment, which was nice but it was much to loud to enjoy an initimate dinner or conversation.<br/><br/>The food was good, but nothing new & exciting. Won't be returning north to Woodbridge for this place anytime soon.

Taste of true Italian cuisine. Probably one of the better meals that I have had in a long time. Food was not only delicious to taste but it was delivered to our tables to meet our visual tastebuds as well. Appitizers were a teast to our taste buds, pasta was to die for, served al dente with rich sauces and robust flavours. Dessert was amazing. We had the tiramisu and ricotta cake. Service was very professional and the head chef does an amazing job of making his customers feel welcome. We will absolutely return on a regular basis.

GREAT NIGHT OUT!. Great Experience!! Excellent restaurant , nice setup, very clean, great entertainment, very generous portions, very chic environment. Chef/ Owner Rick Guarantees a great dinning experience! OVER ALL A TEN!

Rude and unacomadating will never go again. Went for a family function,place was nicely set up. That's the end of the positive feedback. Wait staff was unaccomadating , portions were very small, service was very slow and the Owner/chef was very rude and arrogante with his staff and customers.<br/>I will never go again left a bad taste in my mouth

Excellent. Nice looking restaurant, food was great, service was great (Mateo awesome and very friendly chef!)....no complaints....would go back again in a heartbeat!

Finally Downtown Uptown. If your looking for some authentic italian fares in a wonderfully chic environment with good variety on the menu, this is the place for you. From the stone oven pizza's to their wonderful pasta dishes..there's something for everyone here. The portions are very generous and Chef Rick takes personal care in making sure his clients are well taken care of in every aspect. Great place to join the family, friends or special gatherings. The entertainment on the weekend is superb!! Finally a place uptown that provides a great service, excellent food and pleasant warm atmosphere!!

Finally, great new place! Excellent service, Great food and very clean and spacious. 4 of us dined, had oven pizza, halibut on the grill, pasta, speducci appetizers.<br/>Definately going back.
