Their panzerotti is by far my favourite: You get 3 toppings sautéed in garlic butter then oven-baked inside a fresh pizza crust; it smells amazing!
It's also one of the few places I've come across that offers a 'Super thin' crust.
Their prices are reasonable, and the owners are very kind, hard-working, and generous. The first time I went there, I was riding my bike and it was very hot outside. After paying for my food, the owner insisted I take a bottle of water with me to stay hydrated.
They are open 'til 5am weekdays and 6am Saturday & Sunday; I would highly recommend Chicago Phil's 🍕 after a night out on the town!
Chicago Phil's is an overlooked gem both in the downtown area and for Winnipeg pizza overall. Delicious deep dish if that's your thing, but also tasty for regular pizza and a great value for late-night by the slice. Quaint and family-run, delicious, and open late. Perhaps a little pricey if you're not desperate for deep dish or something really dense and cheesy.

Been here a few times to try out as much as the menu as I possibly could. Each time I've dealt with the people there, I've felt really welcomed. They are really friendly and the service is on point. Their panzerotti is amazing (ordered the large with pep, ham and bacon - already stuffed with mozzarella and pizza sauce) it's a gigantic portion, could probably feed two people. Their taco salad is delicious however needs to be consumed the same day, chips get soggy after a day (obviously!) but delicious! Their Caesar salad is on point very crips lettuce and not over the top salty bacon, it's very good! Their deep dish pizza is also quite delicious, not over the top with the toppings, just the right size and made in the amount of time they told me it would take. Their cheese toast is also quite filling for 3.99 you can't go wrong, It fills you up well, very cheesy on nice Texas style thick cut bread. Overall, friendly and very fast service with a menu that'll make sure you fill up and conquer your hunger. Love it. Give it a shot.
The people who own Chicago Phil's and make the food are literally the people God specially made and sent to earth. They are always so happy such generous people, they always make my night because they are so cheerful when I pick up my orders. The food is always so delicious and hot! Whenever I have a pizza craving I go there cause it will always be satisfied.
Random late night stop because dominos was closed. Turned out to be the best pizza I've had. If you haven't tried this place, you need too!
Badass pizza. I'm confused by all these negative reviews of Chicago Phils. The pizza itself is magically delicious! Some people need to pump their brakes I think they're expressing Cadillac expectations on a Volvo budget. 2 slices and a can drink for $5 what more do you want?
Great Pizza, Panzerottis and Pasta. Best pizza you can find downtown, the panzerotti's are to die for the lasagna is a little bland but still top notch and they have the best garlic toast I have had,
Definitely worth checking out, only downside is you have to get take out or delivery as they do not have a dining area
Good for a Quick Bite. I've been here before for a slice of pizza on the run. Their deep dish single slices are satisfying enough for a quick lunch.
The other day we picked up their "Dinner for Two" which includes two 10" three-topping pizzas, two salads, two slices of garlic toast and a slice of key lime pie for $26.99.
While our two pizzas with different toppings were for the most part indistinguishable, they weren't bad. The Greek salad was nothing special, but the house salad, doused in creamy dressing and bacon, was delightful if you forget about the calories.
For $30 we got a convenient meal, and leftovers for the next day. It probably won't make my list of "regulars," but I wouldn't hesitate to try it again when I'm too lazy to cook.
Terrific Greek Pizza. The truly vegetarian GREEK PIZZA is the classic at this PLACE. Thank you Chicago Phil for making our evening wonderful !!!
Good Downtown pizza.... Sure there pizza isn't the best pizza out there, but it is good pizza at a very fair price.
Two slices, and a can drink deal is like $5.00
They warm the pizza up nicely, you can choose either a thick deep dish or a one of there normal slices.
I love these types of pizza places, and wish we had more around Osborne, Corydon, and Downtown.

$5 for 2 big slices and a drink. Wow! I uses to just walk by all the time but when i did try it i was impressed. Not just by the price but the the selection of pizza by the slice. The choices are all specialty pizzas not just pep and cheese! I like the Beast, like the name it has every kind of meat you can think of on it. They heat each order in the oven as you order it, so they have that fresh taste, not that under the heat lamp thing.
Try it, you'll like it!
I love this pizza because they cater to people who can't have dairy or sugar with no extra charge. I get the x-large pickup special which is less than 15$ with tax.
