Went here with my boyfriend for dinner last night. The food was EXCELLENT! We had a feast ; the trio of appetizers (samosa, veggie pakora and paneer pakora) and then shared the Malai Kofta, and Korma with rice and garlic na'an. Bf said the na'an was the best he's ever had! All of the food was super rich and flavourful, bursting with spices! The service was good and the people were very friendly in general. The inside is kind of dingy, but the food is excellent! Hope this place can stay in business.
Great food always have fresh samosa's and tasty sweets, close to my work and always kind. Wonderful experience and would definitely reccomend checking them out.
Love the food. Especially if you looking for that authentic taste. HIghly recommended. Very nice staff and service. Quality food. Love the way they treat
The food is excellent. Being a small restaurant, they do not have any tie up with the Skip Dishes. I ordered a delivery for lunch for a small business meeting and arranged a cab driver to pick up the food. After reaching the restaurant, the cab driver refused to pick up the "Indian" food as he was afraid that his car will smell food! The restaurant owner sent someone from the staff/family to deliver the food. The food was with excellent aroma, taste, and neatly packed in separate containers. The family that runs the restaurant is really hard working, skilled, and cares for their customers. This is one of the best restaurants for Indian food, especially vegetarian food, in the town. The ambiance is not great but its clean (including toilets!) and spacious. Being a family run, service is great.
Great experience! This place is super dingy but once you get past the horrid interior, you're in for a great ride. Their thali's are really cheap and the flavours are on point. As someone who has spent tremendous amount of time in India, I can vouch for this restaurant's authenticity. Moreover, the customer service is really nice. The lady behind the counter is always smiling and is very helpful. The best part about this restaurant is their price. IT IS CHEAP! and the food is just finger licking delicious.
As one who has lived in India for a number of years, I can say the food at this restaurant is very authentic, very light, well prepared, and fresh. I could eat here almost every day.Staff are very friendly and pleasant. This restaurant deserves five stars
Fantastic food! Just found this place and I've been back twice
Nice surprise. Dropped my significant other off for an appointment on my lunch hour and noticed this place right in front of me, had never heard of it but decided it was lunch time and I'd rather give them my money than Subway. Sometimes impromptu decisions are rewarded, my gorgeously packaged, flavorful, and plentiful "Thali" take-out dish came to less than $10 and when I returned to work with it I was amazed to find about 6 different dishes + naan bread. Friendly kid working the til, helped walk me through the options and seemed pleased that I was asking for his advice. I'm by no means an expert on this food so I don't know the names of what I ordered but the spices were all on point, pointing at 3 random options for my combo warranted delicious results and I can't wait to go back and point at more of them some time. Even the little sweet dumpling/dessert thing in sweet syrup was an unexpected little treat. Great lunch option, will return.
I went with my family for the first time. It was so worth it. We ordered the veg thali. Along with kulcha chana. It was brilliant. They also have an excellent variety of desserts. We had 2 malai kulfis. This is their indian type of ice-cream served on a stick. For takeout we took a nice box of sweets and samosas. Thier samosas are only $1 for 2. It was so worth the trip. I recommend everyone to try it. Even if you're a meatlover, you have to try it.
You have to try this place. Tried this restaurant for the first time today, and would recommend anyone to try it. The food was delicious. Served piping hot, with so much flavour. This is better than other indian food I have had in the city, at a very reasonable price in comparison to other restaurants. As a fan of vegetarian food this was perfect for me, but would advise that even meat eaters will enjoy this fare. Tried the Veg Thali, Chili Paneer, and Malai Kofta. The paneer was delicious, so smooth and delicate tasting, and the kofta was perfect! Great heat, not too spicy with vegetables that were still crispy and the vegetable balls that were amazing! The service was very accomodating and friendly, top notch service without being overly pushy or intruding.
It was noticeable that cleanliness was a top priority at Bangali. The ambiance was calm, with up-beat music providing allowing for great conversation.
Thanks Bangali for a great meal!
