Good place to eat! If you’re looking for a good Filipino cuisine then this is the right place. Pork sizzling sisig, chicken inasal, lechon kawali, gotong batangas and the pancit are the best.
Love this place! I didn't think I could experience good food in Winnipeg as it seems like every other resto I've been to serves substandard cuisine. Now I found my comfort place.
Best Sisig in town! I haven't been here in around a year due to the poor service, but that is no longer an issue. The new servers are much more attentive and don't take forever to take your order. Also the Sisig is HOT and doesn't come with disgusting amounts of mayonnaise, like how other places serve it. Highly recommended!
Came here on a weeknight with a friend. First time for both of us. Restaurant wasn't super busy so we didn't have to wait too long for our food.
We ordered the Krispy Pata Kare-Kare. I like my Kare-Kare to be more peanut buttery, but it was pretty darn delicious. Servings portions are ridiculous here. Ended up taking most of it home. Would definitely come back again just for that dish alone.
One of the best Filipino dine in restaurants. The food is fresh and great presentation. Could be cleaner in the restaurant and an upgrade for furniture needs to be done for a more polished restaurant. Other than that food is great.
*UPDATE*
They now give you glasses with water! Lol. They have more servers now than the previous year. We ordered BBQs here and it was very good for the price, their Kare-kare was good as well. Their sisig is mediocre in taste and not the best from them IMO. My new favourite here is their grilled squid and mango ensalada on the side. I highly suggest that combo! I have eaten here a couple of times after my super negative review last year. It's good that they improved their service.

Good food. Slow service.. Food was good and a pretty good amount of serving. I was excited about the chicken inasal, but it didn't met my expectations. It tasted like a normal grilled chicken to me.
The service was so slow, they gave us empty glasses (which is meant for water), and we left with the glasses still empty because they never offered us water. I don't think I'll come back again.
Best Filipino food in the city! Worth every dime. The foods amazing! Their combos are so affordable putting together an assortment of entrees for one low price. I can't have enough of their Kare - kare; It's the best...well everything is delicious actually! Thanks MANGKOK! Finally found a place with excellent Filipino cuisine!
Just went here last week and was pleasantly surprised by the meal. We had heard mixed reviews, but everything we ordered was so good! The only criticism I have was that my eggs and longsilog were a little over, but not so much that it was a problem. Overall, we were all very happy with the meal and would definitely go back again!
If you're craving for Kare-kare, look no further. Mangkok has it. I've bought it twice in the last week. The sauce is very good, to the last drop.

Good food is what Mangkok is all about. We always look forward to their weekend specials. Home cooked meal is what Mangkok serves each time. It's always worth the wait. Their seafood platter is awesome. Huge servings. We'll keep coming back Mangkok.
Best service very different menu but amazing food. We have been there a few times and the portions are amazing, and the wait time is awesome, no different than any restaurant. if you want fast food go to mcdonalds, but this restaurant is just amazing, the service is exceptional.
I would highly recommend that you try it and see the amazing food and taste the flavors
It's the best Filipino restaurant in Winnipeg. The atmosphere is inviting and very clean the staff is friendly and fast, the food is excellent. They have the best Filipino breakfast for such a good price, they have a wide range selection of dishes. If you ever want to go to a place that serves great food you should give this restaurant a try. Only place I would go when I want to eat Filipino breakfast lunch and dinner
The Best Filipino Restaurant by far in almost 30 years. My friends and I went for dinner at this restaurant because of a facebook post about their food. I just thought not another Filipino restaurant with all the SILOG specials. I was a bit surprised to find that their entrees were not only tastefully good but surprisingly well prepared and presented. It's not strictly fine dining but seems like after our food was served. Such a beautiful presentation of color in the plating of the food. The servings are generous. Just love it. If your are homesick with "lutong-bahay" (home cooked meals), I recommend that you try their kare-kare, bistek tagalog, nilaga, lugaw with pork and tofu, chopsuey, inihaw na pusit or milkfish and sinigang.

Unexpectedly awesome!!. My Mom suggested we go to Mangkok for dinner (she'd been there several times and had nothing but good things to say). I really wasn't expecting much as I've been to many Filipino restaurants in Winnipeg and for the most part, their breakfasts are the main attraction. So much to my surprise and delight everything we ordered (Lugaw w/ tofu and pork, Chicken Inasal, Pork Side Ribs and the bangus (milkfish) was fantastic! At first we thought the menu was a bit pricey, but in the end, it was worth it for the quantity and the taste. We will certainly be back again.
My bestfriend and I went here for lunch and the people were very friendly, great service and the food didnt take long to be served, place is neat and everything was great. Definitely coming back sometime soon! Chicken Inasal is worth its price! Also try the Halo-Halo!!!
My family and I's first time coming to Mangkok for breakfast and I really enjoyed the food, it was good service even though we were the only people there. My parents said it was kind of pricey because in a filipino breakfast you usually get tomatoes and oranges ......but I guess not. I enjoyed it even though we paid $40 for 4 filipino breakfast.

Their Chicken Inasal is so soft and so good.. Take note its unlimited rice! ll love it there. Wide array of varieties to choose from, literally an INTERNATIONAL restaurant.
