Why the harsh reviews? I came here with friends. It was sooo good. This place cannot be compared to cold sobeys sushi. Their mushroom cashew is on point! Will be back when I'm around! They work hard and deserve respect from the food lovers community.

This place is pretty decent if not busy. The menu is pretty extensive and they do offer all you can eat on sashimi, shellfish like oysters and mussels and beef tataki. The menu has most of the common items you would find at a typical sushi restaurant from rolls, nigiri, and Tempura. They also offer stir fries, soups, and a variety of other fried items like dumplings and wings.
We experienced the 2nd wave lull that most people have talked about in the comments and it certainly is annoying, however the food does eventually come. As for food quality, it is acceptable, but definitely not as good as if you were to go to a sushi restaurant, which is somewhat disappointing considering $27 a person is about how much I would spend anyway given the selection. The several times I have been here were for guys-night-out and once for a stag, and we ate big which made it worth it, but for a regular meal, I don't think I could justify coming here from a value perspective.
Will definitely come again, if not for the novelty and for various occasions!

This place NEVER disappoints us! This is mine and my boyfriend's go to "all you can eat" sushi place when we are with friends and family. We always get what we order in a timely fashion!
This place has upped it's game in the all you can eat segment since being here a few years ago. Decent price for all you can eat. The portions are on the smaller side but, it's all you can eat, so that's a bonus. The decor is fresh and modern so that's nice if you are bringing guests. It's in a super convenient location near UofM. If you can't decide where to go, give it a try.
We had the All You Can Eat Lunch and it did not disappoint. Lots of sushi and non-sushi options to choose from. Service was quick and attentive. I would definitely come back to Sushi Jet!
My favorite All You Can Eat Restaurant! They have a variety of Japanese food and their quality of service is excellent. We usually go here as a group (5+ people) rather than in smaller groups so that we can try out all the foods and actually finish everything.
Been here a few times, haven't had any bad experiences at all! Staff are very nice (especially the little old lady). Foods pretty good, we like going for the lunch buffet but dinner was good as well with a couple more choices! Recommended for lots of food at a pretty reasonable price!
Great service and the food came out quick. All you can eat dinner and lunch menu. The rolls were not overloaded with rice either. Will come back for sure!
Surprisingly good! Great variety of Japanese and Thai dishes. Pad Thai is sweet and tangy while the noodles are perfectly cooked. My cousins who all tried it the first time equally love it. Most notable dishes include sashimi both gindara and salmon, volcano roll, rib eye, shrimp tempura, beef & chicken teriyaki. The restaurant caters both the kids and adults. Younger cousins like the chicken wings and teriyakis. To top it all they provide ice cream for dessert. Over all it's commendable although a bit pricey!!!
I really enjoy this place every time I go. The sashimi always tastes fresh and flavorful and is a great go-to for me. There is something for everyone on this menu.
Service is always there when you need it. I like how the wait staff cycles and they pick up each others tables if that one person is busy at that moment. Not having to wait for one specific server really speeds up the order/delivery timeline.
I have never been here for lunch myself but I have been told that the lunch menu is significantly smaller and the food is not at the same level as the dinner service.

Never experienced any of these negative comments.. All these negative reviews are a little suspicious. I have been there 5+ times for all you can eat lunch and I have never had a rude waiter/waitress. They checked with us consistently every time that we were there. Great food and it comes out in less than 15 minutes, sometimes even 10 depending on what it is. As for the mandatory tip, most people tip at least 10% while dining out so I don't understand the problem. Maybe lunch service is different than dinner, but it seems like people on here are really out to get this place for some reason.
Good food, bad service. The majority of the food is good. We keep coming back for the delicious short ribs and I particularly enjoy the sushi jet hand roll and the salmon rose nigiri. The thai food isn't that great; do not get the mussels - they were clearly cooked frozen from a box. This place is not much different than the AYCE Sushi Gen on Portage Ave across from the U of W, but for some reason the food tasted better here. The service however, isn't any different. We were ignored for most of the night especially for basic refills on water/tea. They also forgot many dishes and would bring them out very late to the point where we were already full. When asked about our food, the server told us, "It's too late for the kitchen to make it". Honestly though, best bang for your back for all you can eat sushi if you don't mind having to constantly remind staff.
