Great menu, nice sized portions and excellent food. There's a reason why there are lineups at Peking. We wish there was better parking (the nearby lot is small so you likely have to park on the streets a short walk away) but it's a small price to pay to dine at this place.
We ordered the combo c, Shanghai noodles with beef, and lemon chicken. Everything was super good and tasty.
Best Takeout in Winnipeg. Always liked this place since I first arrived in Winnipeg 22 years ago. Terrific value for money and food is always consistent, ranging between a 7.5 and 8.5 on the 10 point scale. (Its NOT gourmet folks!).....almost always hot and retains heat for at least 15 to 20 minutes if you're on the road. Major weakness is they don't have a reliable delivery system (40 to 70 minutes is the norm) and their specialty (actually an asian specialty) Chicken is sometimes a bit gummy and slightly under-cooked. Other than that its a solid 4 out of 5 stars in every respect. Be prepared to ask for extra condiments as they really chintz on these.
My eat-in food. Peking is just a call away from a fulfilling tummy. They may not be the best for your taste buds (considering they use a lot of msg) but their portions are great for the price you pay, and this is usually what is expected for a take away Chinese restaurant. I've been there countless times and the guy I always see is very good-natured. If your'e hungry, this is a good suggestion, I guarantee you'll have leftovers for your hunger, tomorrow.
They're quick, give discounts for cash and they are great people. Family business. Tasty food too
