It was my third time ordering, and it gets better every time I try. The Soo Guy is better than any lemon chicken! Great portions for the price and big flavour. We're big fans. Good for holidays or solo.

We crave for the lemon chicken here at Oriental Bowl! The sauce is perfect, and the owners are so efficient and nice! Can’t get any better for the price, quality, and amount!

Portion sizes are very generous. Food is hot and fresh. You get 10% discount for picking up, plus free chicken fried rice when your order is over $40. Staff is great, super friendly. Support local!

Wow, Very good food at an incredible price! Highly recommend! Call for delivery or pick up. I ordered the lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork and chow mein. It was ready before I knew it and tasted amazing!

We ordered for the first time. It was very good. Especially enjoyed the special Cantonese special chow mein, curry chicken and veg fried rice. With the CM, there was lots of toppings and not an over abundance of sauce, which is how we prefer it! We picked up and the service and packaging was spot on. For the price and quality of the food, it's a no brainer. My only comment was the white rice was a bit dry, that's a very minor detail.

Ordered the combo plate veal and chicken balls. Rice was good , not dry. Veal and chicken balls were juicy and cooked well.the chicken balls I find small if they were bigger and had more chicken that would Make them perfect. Chow mein was good.

There's a Chinese food Restaurant right near my home, however I prefer Oriental Bowl. Delicious large pieces of vegetables, juicy beef or chicken, always piping hot. I've tried everything on the menu. Highly highly recommended. Great people as well.

Amazing, amazing food! I love this place. It may look small inside when you pick-up food, but beyond the counter to the kitchen is magic. My family and I have been ordering from them for decades! We live out of town now, but whenever we visit, we always order lots of food. Big portions and amazing food for a good price. You can't go wrong here! I have ordered from different places in Winnipeg, but the food does not compare to Oriental Bowl. I introduced my partners family who lives in Winnipeg to Oriental Bowl, they always order from here now. I hope they never shut down!

I've picked up food from here many times over the years, and have always been impressed by how delicious it is. It doesn't have any dining space (if you want sit down Chinese food, Spicy Noodle House is three blocks north) - but for quick, fast and delicious Chinese food to go in Osborne, Oriental Bowl is my go to. Bonus points for adding a dish for orders over a certain price!

I've only ordered delivery from here once a while back and it was all fantastic. Fast, friendly service, good portions and prices, and tasty food! Best ginger beef I've had in a long time! Looking forward to ordering from here again.

Been ordering from here since I was a kid. In my opinion this is the best chinese food you can get in the city. Always perfect. Also, I have price matched around and it is definitely one of the cheapest in the city. Perfect for a quick dinner fix!

So far the Best and Cheapest Chinese restaurant in the city. For the price the food is really good and large in portion. They have their delivery and take away only. They don't deliver uber or skip.

They need to change their oil way more frequently . All food tasted of expired over/used oil. Anything breaded was so saturated in a lard-like texture it coated our mouths, teeth and insides. It was the worse sleep of our lives. A simple solution of changing out their oil as required would make the food entirely acceptable. Cheapness is not acceptable in the food industry when it comes quality. Pricing very reasonable for portion sizes.

I have been a costumer for over 10 years and tonight they brought me food that smelled like cigarette smoke. Called complaining about the smell and the said that they would just talk to the driver and do nothing else about it. Nobody deserves food smells like cigarette smoke and it is in edible. Really disappointed never going back. <br/>

We ordered Garlic Ribs which were fantastic. Unlike other places, the container was full of meaty ribs not all green peppers. So were the garlic shrimp. Also had the dry breaded veal that was to die for. Came hot and prompt. Inexpensive for what you get.

Really happy with the price to quality ratio. It’s become my go to place for fast and convenient food. They finish orders within 30 minutes usually and you get big portions.

Fast and friendly delivery service. Too bad what's delivered is so bland that it makes you regret ordering it. Spring rolls taste like beef fried rice tastes like chop suey tastes like beef spare ribs: salty and not much else. Chicken balls are tiny and already packed in sauce so you can't even enjoy their crispness. Save your shekels and avoid this place.

Only ordered from here because everything was closed. Reeks of old, burnt oil when you walk in, very undesirable. Food was subpar and lazy. Would never order from again or recommend to anyone.

Worst we've had. Ordered from Oriental Bowl for the first time for my mothers birthday dinner. Not super impressed with the taste and quality of the food. <br/>Lemon chicken was mushy and soggy. Sweet and sour chicken balls were really small and already in the sauce which made them taste old and soggy. Other chicken balls we have gotten from other places are large, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but these ones were no match. <br/>We ordered a chow mein dish also and received it without the chow mein noodles - so basically just some veggies and a little meat. <br/>We also received a phone call from the restaurant mid dinner and the girl was yelling at us that '"the driver is downstairs now you have to buzz him in" we live in a house not an appartment and had also received our food already so she called the wrong people, which was kind of annoying especially since she was yelling at us. <br/>Nothing spectacular and definitely nothing prompting us to order from them again.

Inexpensive and tasty. My go-to late-night Chinese joint. Excellent value. I usually pick it up in person, and I've always been treated courteously.

First off I read the great review and decided to try this place. Bill came to 56.62 and I gave a $7 tip. Opened the bag and was short one plate. I called Oriental Bowl and the girl started saying that it was still in the bag. I stated that it was one bag and it's empty! She stated that she put it in there and I needed to explain in what order they were in the bag. I explained that I can count and rather than calling me a liar or blind that this was the first and last time I would order from them and that they should be asking me what they can do for me! Obviously they must have a lot of customers that lie.

Waste of money. Never again, the chicken fried rice was rice with soy sauce and strips of boiled bland chicken strips. Food was horrible, so disappointed just horrible

Would definately order again. First timer tonight, food was great! There is one small complaint though; the honey garlic chicken balls, could use way less honey. The garlic mixture was bang on. thanks for a great first impression.

Well I just ordered. The food came in the 40 minute time frame we were told. Me and my girlfriend ordered the meal for three. Yes the two if us eat for three lol. The dishes were very bland. The rice was well over cooked, very dry. The beef fried rice was the same. The deep fried spare ribs were good, I liked how they weren't overpowered in salt. Beef and mixed greens were alright. You can only fit to much in a small plastic container. I might order again. It's hard to say. I would like to add that the prices online for some items are two dollars cheaper than menu that is currently used

HORRIBLE SERVICE. I ordered food from this place one night (10:45 PM). I got delivery and when the guy came with the debit machine it showed transaction did not go through on his machine but it went through on my card and I had proof from my online banking which I showed him. So its a mistake on their behalf. Anyways he did not want to give me the food nor refund me but wanted me to pay him again. When I told him I would not pay twice, he than began to shout at me in my house while my children are sleeping. I wanted to avoid argument so I told him Ill print out my debit transaction and I will go to there restaurant and discuss this with the lady I placed the order with. I arrived there and tried explaining to them that they have my money and I have no food so I need a refund or I would still take the food because it was late and my guests and I were hungry. They did not give me either and I still went ahead to call Scotia and have them on speaker phone while Scotia verified the transaction did in fact go through. Even after going this far I did not get my money or refund. When I told them I would be back the next day and I want them to sign a piece of paper saying that I did not get any food or any sort of refund the delivery guys started yelling and waving his hands in front of my boyfriend and my face. In the end I did get a signature but a whole waste of time. I have filed a complaint with the BBB in Winnipeg as well as filed a charge back with my bank. I dont wish bad for anyone but this restaurant need to get there act together and for that they deserve to lose business until they gain better customer service skills.

Ordered delivery not very good. <br/>The fried rice was just that plus a little soy sauce and that was it. No sweet and sour on my sweet and sour shrimp. :(:(:( three frowns.

We have ordered from this place for years and have found the delivery to be within the time frame promised and hot upon arrival. There have been dishes we have not liked, but we have others we love and order regularly. Portions are a good size and staff have always bee courteous.

Great Canadian Chinese. Hi, I just ordered from there and have many times in the past. Food is always good. I used debit...previous poster must have gone when their machine was down.

Get with the times!. I tried to order from here a few weeks ago, so I called in for delivery. I placed my order, and all was fine until the girl told me they didn't have a debit machine. I offered to pay via credit card, and she said they don't have a modern machine, and she'd need my credit card number over the phone to ring through my order. The girl who answered the phone seemed nice enough, but I'm not prepared to give out sensitive information over the phone when I have no idea who's working/walking around there. I canceled my order.<br/><br/>It's 2012, get a debit machine.

Decent. This is pretty standard Canadian Chinese fare. The food is decent, the portions are good, and everything is reasonably priced. This place isn't outstanding, but it's a good option if you live nearby. I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to eat from here. I can't recommend their fried rice, but their noodle dishes are usually pretty good. The wonton soup is always a good choice - the broth is just so tasty.

Great hole in the wall find. Oriental Bowl may not look like much from the street or when you walk inside but it's a real gem. The food is always flavorful and never greasy. Portions are large especially for the price. I've never been disappointed with an item on this menu and I've ordered from it pretty extensively. The service is always friendly and even when they're extremely busy you aren't facing too long of a wait for pick orders. My favourite items are the springrolls, special fried rice, bbq pork and curry beef.

Not very good. Read all the good reviews and thought to give it a try. We ordered sesame chicken which was nice enough (white meat) and Fried shrimp combo which sucked. The fried rice was rice with soy sauce. The shrimp were rubbery, previously frozen, lacked flavor, and so dry. The chow mein included was more like chop suey? was it ment to be the later? Dragon Palace is soooo good, makes me miss the food there

Our favourite.. When we lived in a Grant Ave apartment we discover the Oriental Bowl. It quickly became our favourite place to order from. After a couple of orders with found "our" dishes - Special Cantonese Chow Mein, Szechaun Sweet and Sour Pork and Hot Honey Garlic Chicken. We also like the curry shrimp. <br/>When we moved to River Park South we hoped they would still deliver to us and we are so thankful they do. We tried other restaurants in the area with no luck, they just didn't hold up to Oriental Bowl. <br/>It's been 14 years we've been ordering from there now. And we still love it.

If you live in Osbourne, Corydon area this is one of the best Chinese/Asian food places to order from. Food is always hot, plentiful, & delicious every time.

Good delivery.. I tried this place for dinner tonight since I'd been curious about it for ages. I ordered vegtable chow mein, mushroom egg foo young, and my friend got a combo (fried rice, chop suey, fried riblets, and egg roll). The portions were very large (leftovers will probably last me three days), and it came with free rice. The total came to about $25, and it was all very tasty. I'd order from them again. Though it was very typical Canadianized fare, it still tasted good.

We have ordered Chinese food a million times from most of the restaurants in the Osbourne/Corydon area and Oriental Bowl is by far the best. Prices are great and the food is super tasty. Not to mention generously portioned. The best surprise was that the curry shrimp was actually all shrimp, not 7 pieces of shrimp with 3 whole onions worth of filler like many other restaurants. Definitely give it a shot!

Undetailed menu. Ordered delivery with a co-worker. Was pleasantly surprised that they would deliver, when we hadn't ordered very much food, however, was disappointed when it arrived. I had ordered mixed vegetables with rice, and there was beef in it. No where on the menu did it say there was beef in the dish, and I am a vegetarian. When I called and complained, the person answering the phone could barely understand english and didn't get why this was a problem. After a while of trying to re-explain the situation, she eventually got what sounded like her teenage daughter or something to speak to me, since her english was considerably better. she was unsympathetic to this though, but eventually agreed to send over a new dish, sans meat, but when the delivery man showed up, even he was argumentative and tried berating me for calling back about getting the dish replaced. And after all that trouble, it didn't even taste that good. Will never order again.

Delicious Delivery. We've been looking for a reasonably priced Chinese place that delivers on Sunday (our fave, Long Bay is closed Sundays :-().<br/>We ordered five dishes and the total with tax was under $45. <br/>And the food was really good! Sesame Szechuan chicken was spicy enough (it rarely is at other delivery places) and mushroom egg foo yung not too greasy. <br/>Fast delivery, good prices, tasty food. We'll definitely explore their menu!

This place is another hidden gem of mine. This is by FAR the best Chinese place in the city. Their dishes are full of flavor, prices are reasonable and it is definately a family favorite... It's pick up or delivery only with no option of dining in. My favorite dishes include schezuan sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork, special Cantonese chow mein. All of the food is saucy and flavorful.
