I came here for dinner and ordered Alaska roll, shrimp tempura roll, and salmon sashimi. I opened the box and had them immediately when I return to my car. As a sushi chef who had 2 years experience, I would say the experience is good(compare to the price). I feel everything I ordered worth the money I paid(except the miso soup). If you are looking for a sushi place where you spent little but can get a good portion of sushi(the quality is above the average), maybe give it try. Suggestion: removing the tail crust of shrimp when you guys make the shrimp tempura roll. I know it looks good but uneatable.

I ordered medium sushi party tray first time. Processing time was fast. The sushi was delicious. Combination of sushi mix is just right for family(with child). I am so happy to find out this nice sushi take out place in Winnipeg. Staffs are also very friendly. If you want to taste decent quality of sushi with good price in winnipeg, this is the right place. Additionally, Fried spring rolls were exceptionally crisp and warm!

Kind of average sushi flavor. It’s what you get everywhere. The rice was flavorless and the fish was not great. I am not in love. Very average and can’t eat inside. Not worth it.

Be careful with this restaurant. You have to order wasabi, ginger and soy sauce. It doesn't come with the order. May not be for everyone but those items are are a big part of sushi.

Would give 0 stars if I could. First, we got the wrong order, which is not a big deal. Got a call from TaKe upon arriving at home which is 15 mins away. So we drove back to grab the right order, not anticipating to give back the wrong order we got (because 1.COVID, 2. Food safety???, 3. that is just not sanitary whatsoever) but they refused to give us our order if we didn't return the wrong one, so we gave it back. They gave us around $4 back in coins for the difference, did not offer to give our money back or at least some money off for the inconvenience. Thinking they gave the wrong food that we had to the other person without them knowing. Not ordering from here again because clearly someone else might have touched my food before I received it. Gross.

Absolutely phenomenal. We would definitely re-order from here any day. I hope to one day try some of the other Japanese dishes available, I only quickly selected a few rolls but the menu seems vast enough to go back and try a few more dishes.

TA.KE has been my go to sushi place for years. The staff is great. The food is fresh. The soy sauce is No, 1. As a Vancouver sushi lover living in Winnipeg, I have found the service and the food consistant over many years. Too bad the city made them take the chairs and tables out. It made for a convenient quick stop. They even have a points card for discounts. Thanks TA.KE for serving my sushi cravings for all these years!

The salmon is delicious! Try the sushi pizza, yam tempura roll and the shrimp killer. Friendly staff. Tiny eating area so it is more convenient for take-out.

My husband and I live right off Osborne, so we're often overwhelmed with options when it comes to ordering sushi for dinner (considering the plethora of restaurants on Osborne, Corydon and Pembina). Even so, Ta.Ke has quickly become our go-to takeout spot. The restaurant may appear visually plain, but they will surprise and delight you with their scrumptious menu. They have - by far - the tastiest (and largest!) sushi pizzas in the city. Their lunch specials are also reasonable priced and hefty enough to fill you up. We highly recommend this location to all sushi pizza fans!

For sushi in this city, great prices, quality, and quantity!. Large chunks of fish in rolls make it very worth it and keeps me returning when I need my sushi fix. Simply put, you get your bang for your buck.

Something tastes off. My bakudan salmon tastes very not fresh and I was not able to finish it. My dynamite was very fishy and not crisp, for fried shrimp, that is kind of an accomplishment to be two things you are not supposed to be. The soy sauce was delicious but did not make up for the lack of freshness otherwise. Prices were generally what you'd expect but between the flavours and the wait time to get my take out lunch when I was the only person there, I will not be back.

Worst sushi I have ever had. They did not care about our order at all. The rolls were rolled badly. They were falling apart. The sushi looked like a beginner rolled them for us. The price was too high for the quality of their food.

California roll Shrimp tem.... California roll Shrimp tempura roll Sushi pizza Drove past this place many times leaving university. Decided to try it out today. The place is small with few tables. No official menus, only the paper take out menu. Not a wide variety of rolls on it. Got the miso soup to start. They gave me a plastic small teaspoon... Asked 3 times for a glass of water and did not receive. Miso soup had good flavour, and a good size portion. Sushi came out quickly. Sushi pizza had hot sauce on it and not written on the menu, otherwise I would have not ordered it. Most of the menu had spicy food. Sushi was good. Large rolls with fresh ingredients. Over all the good was great quality and freshness, but don't expect much else.... Probably best as a take out only place.

Fantastic. I go here all the time, it is conveniently close to my house, the staff are very polite and the sushi is always excellent. They absolutely do not skimp on ingredients, the rolls usually have nice big chunks of fish which run the full length of the roll. The fish is always as fresh as you can possibly get in the middle of the prairies, the rice is beautifully cooked, never dry or mushy and they don't put in extra rice, like a lot of places to, to bulk out the rolls.

Excellent!!. After reading all of the positive reviews I decided to pursue Ta.Ke for my food needs for a party. I had about 16 people show so I ordered what was recommended by their chef ($55 roll sushi party tray and the extra large sushi party tray). That was a lot of food and the quality was amazing! Highly recommended! Thank you Ta.Ke.

Great Sushi!. Though it feels like Korean-owned sushi restaurants are a dime a dozen in this city, this one has made its way to the top of my list of favourites. The sushi and sashimi was fresh and presented well. I noticed the little detailed like the freshness of the decorative lettuce that the food was placed on, and the carefully-placed sesame seeds on the outside of the rolls. The wait was reasonable, and the service was friendly.

I have tried many sushi places and was finally lucky enough to find this one! The food is beautifully made with nice large pieces of fish (unlike some places). The staff are super polite and friendly. Prices are fair and I really feel like I get good value out of my money when I go here. There are plenty of combo deals to be had. It's also conveniently located near Pembina and McGillivray.

Underwhelmed. I went to Ta.Ke once several years ago and was underwhelmed by their sushi. After reading all the rave reviews here on Urbanspoon, I decided to make a take-out order one night. I ordered four rolls. When I received my order, I was surprised to see that there was only one small 7"x5" takeout container. The rolls were miniscule! I ordered three premium rolls and only one maki so I was not impressed that they managed to fit in such a small container. The sushi itself tasted good, but was lacking filling. While I didn't hate the sushi, per se, I really was expecting much better. I was once again underwhelmed by Ta.Ke, which is a shame because I want to like it.

BEST IN WINNIPEG. I have not found a better sushi place in winnipeg than Ta.Ke - i try out other places just to make sure im going to the best, and i am. The rolls are similar in quality to Wasabi which is very popular in winnipeg, but half the price. I only ever get take out and i am always happy with everything i get there. My favourite rolls are alaska and spicy salmon, and they are always so fresh, and have a large portion of salmon per piece. I find when i go to other sushi places and order alaska, the size of the salmon i get is 1/3 of the size. My favourite sushi place- i wont order elsewhere anymore

I love this place!. I don't know why I still bother trying other sushi joints. This place is awesome. It's basically take out only. They have some seating where you can eat. Don't expect a waiter though.

Great sushi. I tried Ta.Ke for lunch after reading all of the positive reviews. The rolls aren't huge, but they are well balanced, nicely presented and very fresh tasting. Definitely a cut above sushi from a chain restaurant and it was nice to have everything made with great care.

Decent sushi in Fort Garry. Not the best in Winnipeg, to be sure, but serviceable and tasty. The staff is friendly, and while it's intended to be a mainly takeout place, they do have a little bit of seating for when you want to stop in for a quick bite to eat on the go.

Good Takeout!. Yeah they let us broke college students pay in change, other places might be snobby about it, but these guys are cool and make consistently awesome sushi! I always get the $22 special, it's SOOO good!!!!!!

Best in the city. Love love LOOOVE! Super fresh, well made rolls, great value for the price. Lunch special is great. Be warned, not very much seating, only a few stools and a low bench/table... but when you do eat in; they gentlemen are great "servers". :-)

Best Sushi in Winnipeg. The absolute BEST sushi I have had in Winnipeg. There is only take-out or stools for a quick bite to eat unfortunately, but it's well worth it. So many favourites - everything is fresh, service is also good. I've go here at least once a month for a take-out dinner. Also, the best miso soup!! This is what miso soup is supposed to be Winnipeg!
