Ordered 2 Dinners for 10 for a staff luncheon. The food was very tasty and well prepared. We got a ton of food for what we spent. It looks like they haven't embraced indoor dining yet as the dining room looked like it was warehousing take out containers. They dining room looked a little dingy but I'm sure it looks nicer when it's been attended to properly. They advertise a lunch buffet but the buffet cart only had room for four dishes so I'm curious how that will work once they reopen fully. The food we ordered was great though.

Glad to see her restaurant is thriving! Yummy Combo A plate with a twist as she remembered me from a while ago when I had gone there to eat in. Such a lovely food experience! I will be back again!!

Lady on the phone was very polite. Food was delivered in reasonable time & nice & hot. I ordered Chocken Lo Mein (very good), Beef & Mushroom (very good), Egg Rolls (good), Dumplings (good), & because of all the reviews I tried the Cream Cheese Wontons (meh, could have done without those). Order was packaged nicely, with forks, plates, sauces but no napkins. This was a bummer because I was staying at a hotel, had to go to the front desk to get some. Overall good experience... would order again.

Our go-to for Chinese cuisine. The price is fair, and you get a good amount of awesome food. Some of the dishes are made a little bit different than what I am used to from other places, but still good. I would definitely recommend the beef w/ mushrooms, and the lo-mein.

This is our favourite place when we are craving Chinese. We used to frequent the buffet until covid shut that down, been ordering take out and it has never disappointed us. Ginger beef is done perfectly to my husbands taste, mixed veggies are always fresh and crisp love the slices of garlic in that one. Chicken balls full of white meat, we love the chicken low main and their egg rolls are so good! Everything is fresh, they are so polite and reasonably priced and perfectly punctual. I could go on and on! Great job Tasty!!

Everything was really good, very flavorful, good portions & good price. New favorite place in transcona. Will be back

I enjoyed the my first order, price was fair, food was hot when I arrived at the requested time, the hot honey veal (104) and Sichuan Beef (102) were great and the containers were full which I really apprecaited. The free rice at $45.00 was better than expected too.

I called to place an order for delivery at 7pm on Monday. The lady who answered the phone said after taking my order....I can't get delivery as the delivery driver didn't want to work no more today and left. So she said sorry can't order and hung up. I'm definitely going to be making a complaint to BBB because that is so uncalled for and not allowed as they offer that service.

Pleasantly surprised great breaded shrimp and curried beef

Ordered $220+ worth of food for a birthday celebration. When i arrived to pick it up it was very hot and ready on time, even helped me bring it to the car! Everyone thought the food was amazing! We had 25 people attend and there was a ton of leftovers! We will definitely be ordering again!

I had the combo A and C and enjoyed it except the egg rolls didn't taste that good. Had it delivered and was impressed how quickly it came.

Recommend the "Dinner for 2" menu choice. Fair amount of food for only $26. Our server was very nice. On the negative side...no beverages listed on the menu....and surprisingly, no washrooms available.

Pleasantly surprised!  We typically order the same dishes at different Asian restaurants and found these to be better priced and very flavourful!!    Never tried Kimchi before, but was offered free as our order was over $40.   Very good!!   Will definitely order here again.  We ordered take out as there is no Chinese Restaurant in Oakbank/Dugald.

In the Transcona area, this is your best bet for fresh tasty Chinese food! 🤗 My favourite dishes are the Dry Won Tons, Mushroom Egg Foo Young, and the plain fried rice! <br/>Infact, this is the only place I’ll order from in Transcona! I just wish they carried Shanghai Noodles! Then I would’ve gave a 5 start rating. Great place though!

Picked up food from here and it was good but the portion was smaller than expected. Maybe it’s their portions are bigger if my husband and I were to dine in. I’ve been to Wok House on Mcgregor and their prices were similar and portions were way bigger which is what I’m used to. But nonetheless food was really good and TASTY ;) My favourite was the pan fried shrimp. I’ll get it spicy next time. <br/>

I love the food especially lemon chicken and jumbo shrimp. Aunty (Chinese Lady) is so accommodating and prices are affordable. I always order for take out or delivery. Tasty food!

Small place in Transcona. Attentive staff, tasty food. Had dinner buffet. Lots of choices, food was hot. Price very reasonable. Plain ambiance, but the food more than makes up for it. Will be back.

Chinese food at it's best in Transcona. Lunch buffet at very affordable price with 14 dishes on the buffet menu table.. Nice friendly owner. I will be back when in the area.

Had the lunch buffet. Food was tasty,Friendly staff and very reasonably priced. The one negative....... Cleaning staff must have had the day off, restaurant could use some TLC.

Cheap and great tasting. After checking out a couple chinese restaurants on regent I found tasty chinese and while it may not have the same decor as all the other places the food and prices are amazing. I visited today for the second time. The food was out within 5 minutes of ordering, portions are quite large compared with other restaurants and just as delicious. The staff are also very polite and provide prompt service. The only downside was that the physical restaurant does not have a great ambiance but for the prices and quality I am okay with that.

Old man. Get rid of the annoying old guy, I don't need to hear about his political views while I'm out with my family. I just cringe every time he's there, not going back until he's gone.

Worst service ever! Ordered was told an hour for delivery and that they'd call right back with the total, they didn't call back... at an hour and a half called and was told almost ready be out there right away. At 2 hours still no sign of food. At 2 hours 15 minutes called again told not ready yet. The girl asked the kitchen and I heard them say an hour to which she told me it's almost ready! I told her I could hear them saying an hour and she said maybe come pick it up in 20. I asked if it would be ready at that point and she said hopefully. Needless to say we never got our order!

I tried Tasty's for the first time on 2014-10-28 because we had a coupon. Boy, those other reviews were right, that old tall guy was incredibly annoying. He kept quiet until after we ordered and then proceeded to interrupt every few minutes during our private conversation! The owner was adorable, very friendly and the food was delivered very quickly. Overall, the meal was just okay. I liked the crispy breaded chicken but the chow mein was quite bland. The restaurant itself is in desperate need of repair, water stains on the ceiling and just gross. I won't be back again.

NOT Tasty at all. Tried the lunch buffet and could only tolerate two out of the 14 items. Will never go back. Yuck!

Great place. Love going here. Food is great ,the owner is awesome. The tall guy is annoying. He should not barge in on customers conversations. We are there to visit amongst each other not him. Prices are very fair. She puts on a great buffet. Hope she is here for many many years. I love going there with family and friends.

Going out is more than just eating. Not sure who the older Gentleman is he's usually clearing tables and other duties But this has happened on quite a few occasions >:( <br/>interrupting! Really I'm out with Family or Friends there to enjoy their company Not His! <br/>Trying to talk with friends comes and interrupts talking about whats happening in other countries, sports, politics, Some stuff I certainly don't want to hear when I'm getting ready to eat. polity have said have no interest in the subject he completely ignores it and keeps talking...... Don't Beleive the Hype!. After reading reviews I thought this restaurant was going to be tasty. WOW was I wrong. Restaurant was completely dirty and filthy and food was soo greasy and was far from tasty. I was embarrassed to of even suggested this restaurant to my girlfriend....<br/><br/>I did order of the menu and while waiting for our food the dinner buffet started. I noticed the servers picking food out of the buffet to fill orders for people that were sitting and waiting to pick up and go.<br/><br/>For everyone who likes the food here enjoy, for the foodies who haven't tried stay away!!!

Best secret in transcona. Before I tell you great this place is, I must first laugh out loud when I read comments that say this place is overpriced! Their combo plates and buffet prices are less than a fast food chain burger combo. I have been to tastys many times and have never been disappointed. You won't either.

Great Food @ Great Price. Awesome Cantonese cuisine that is very flavourful and doesn't break your wallet. The decor is okay, but the food definitely makes up for that. Worth a try and I'm sure you'll return and recommend to friends.

Good food but very poor service. First time I went with a friend and we ordered a few dishes family style. We ended up ordering a Cantonese chow Mein dish which was not the one we ordered. When we told the waitress it was the wrong dish she argued forcing us to eat it anyways. When we asked politely to exchange it for another dish she said "fine!" Firmly. Took the dish back and came back in 10 minutes with the same dish with different burnt noodles as she basically through the dish on the table saying "here!" All in all... I would say good food minus the very poor service.

You go for the food not decore. Love theses kind of places, focus on what you do best....cook goood food! Found this place to be a good value for the price. Food was very good, Singapore Noodles is not bad.

Gem in the heart of Transcona. Simply put, Tasty is very Tasty! My favorit chinese restaurant!

Their cream cheese wontons are amazing, we get the every time that we order from here. The #19 Kung pao guy ding is so good. They are always friendly and reasonably priced. The only thing is that sometimes when they tell you your order is ready for pick up in 30 minutes it really ends up taking 45ish so be prepared to wait a little and it is well worth that wait!

Delicious. Been looking for good chinese food in the area, and found this one, which is the best Ive ever had.We had it delivered and it was fresh and hot. I wanted to rewind time so I could do it all over again.

We live in Oakbank, and wanted to find a decent Chinese food place relatively close by. The food here was amazing!! We ordered a variety of dishes (6 in total), and each one was great. The chow mein wasn't super greasy, the honey spicy chicken was fantastic, and the free order of cream cheese wontons were amazing! We will definitely be ordering take out from here again.

Good price, great potions! Don't let the decor sway you. Lemon chicken is the best in town! Lady is super sweet but can be overwhelmed when the place gets packed. Love it!

I live close by and love to support local biz, but I wont be eating here again for lunch buffet. Why? I found it over priced for the very small selection and the quality. I really dont mind the place, but for a few morebucks I can eat high quality chinese food...

Very tasty, Tasty, TASTY. Grew up in Transcona and just thought we'd drive out to the old stompin' ground again and walk along the main drag. Yes things have changed, but what a surprise, nestled into what use to be the Copa Cabana Restaurant was this quaint little place called "Tasty". We got there around 7ish and the buffet was until 7:30, the amount of food in the buffett was dwindling but they replaced it when asked, and low and behold it was a bountiful feast for only $7.99-shrimp included-the beverage extra. Everything was excellent (pork, wonton soup, noodles, fried rice, egg rolls, fried rice, etc.)-my favourite--the shrimp, of course! I had no problem understanding the waitress English-and they aimed to see that you had a great meal. Would I recommend this place--you bet--without a minute's hesitation! Thank you -I'm full :)-an Excellent bang for your buck!

One of my favs. Excellent value for your dollar. Lots of choices from the menu to choose from. Service is quick and friendly. Big portions of meals. The dine is pretty good not a five star restaurant inside but a 5 star food rating in my opinion .There is a limited selection on the buffet but after all its a buffet. the chicken wings are probably my favorite buffet item. Buffet includes wanton soup, fried rice chicken balls, sweet n sour pork,shrimp on Saturdays, fried rice , chow main noodle stir fry, and egg rolls. As the sign and name says Tastey's is tastey.

Good Food!. Our "usual" place was closed so we found Tasty's menu online. Wouldn't hesitate to place a take out order again. <br/><br/>Ready in approx 15/20 mins. Ordered pork fried rice, beef wontons, consomme soup, bon bon ribs, beef and broccoli. Very happy with the temperature and flavour of the dishes. (Ribs were a little fatty). $33.00. <br/><br/>Friendly service - although difficult to understand!

I went there feb .14 th wow was it bad...i have been there for lunch before and it was good .....everything was old and tastless......it was so bad that I dont think I will ever go back again.

I love this place! im lucky enough to live just five minutes away from them. the women that run the place is very friendly. They have the best sweet and sour soup by far than any other chinese reataurant, i love their chicken wings, also their seafood hotplate. nothing to complain about, great food, & good prices--- a must try!

Funny how you sometimes discover the best things are just right around the corner.<br/><br/>After reading the other reviews and seeing the 92% positive rating I decided to try this place for a family dinner night. We often go to Foody Goody down the street but always knew that there were better places out there.<br/><br/>Yes, as stated, the lady who runs the place is a little hard to understand with her Eng'r'ish but she was very pleasant and not concerned with having to repeat herself if needed. We ordered the Honey Spicy Chicken, Sweet & Sour Ribs, Chicken Balls, Onion Rings & Fries, and also received Chicken Fried Rice as an free extra. The grand total (after 10% pickup discount) was $37 and we got a whackload of food that easily fed a family of 5. With our kids being only 4, 2 and 8mo. we easily had enough for a large supper and leftovers for a light lunch the next day. <br/><br/>As far as the food was concerned it was indeed very tasty and portion sizes were more than adequate. For the price it really can't be beat. The only disappointment was the french fries which were not very tasty and were soft/floppy to hold, but they were only $3 and we just know to get a different side order next time. The rest of the food was top notch!<br/><br/>I'm very interested in testing out the buffet in the future. Lunch Buffet from Mon-Fri (11am-2pm) is only $6.99 for adults and $4.50 for kids and Friday/Satruday Dinner Buffet (5-7:30pm) is just $7.99/$4.99.<br/><br/>Overall I was very impressed and will definitely be placing future orders for our family.

A very tasty (and cheap!) lunch/dinner buffet!. I've never been for anything but the buffet but I really don't feel the need to! The buffet is very flavourful and has a decent selection for a small little hole-in-the-wall place in downtown Transcona. <br/>The cream cheese filled wontons with sweet and sour sauce are an incredible treat and I've made orders to just pick some of those up for a snack on the way home.<br/>The chicken wings here are very good, almost like the original Colonel's, but before it got too greasy to eat.<br/>I've taken several friends here and each one has enjoyed themselves. At the price of $7.99 for a buffet lunch of 'Tasty Chinese Cuisine' how can you go wrong?<br/>Definitely a place to check out if ever you get the chance!<br/>Enjoy!

Nice little hole in the wall. Like some other reviews have said, the lady who owns the place and also pulls main waiting duties can be hard to understand, but she's also very nice and attentive. Went here with a group of about six people, unplanned, we just saw the sign and said "let's try it out!" I'm glad we did, as we were pleasantly surprised. The food was all great, and I would say a bit better than some of the other places I've tried in town. Loved the service, but we were the only ones in the place so I don't know if it would be as good if it was busier. The prices were quite reasonable, fairly in line with the standard pricing for Chinese menus in the city. I quite liked the shanghai noodles, they were flavouful and saucy and delicious, cooked just right, not overcooked as I have run into at some places. The sweet and sour pork was ok, not good or bad. The rest of the other dishes were good, but nothing really stood out about them. All in all a good little restaurant that I would not mind returning to again some day.

The owner Kim (who is always working) is the sweetest lady! I just want to be her adopted granddaughter cause she is too cute! She is hard to understand but doesn't get impatient repeating herself. I'm a vegetarian an even though there isn't really anything on the menu she will make anything on the menu with tofu instead! This place is the only place my family orders Chinese food from and it is wonderful :)!
