Fabulous food, enticing menu and good staff! All in all great experience; except small place, sitting arrangement is not upto the popularity of the place.. need to expand the sitting area. In terms of food.. must place to try Indian street food 😋
I have been to Royal pan in Toronto it was ordinary, but this one is excellent. I had dosa and pani pori and it was perfect...
First of all this is a great place for chaats & milkshakes etc. This is purely a North Indian cuisine, one will get all the chaats we miss in Mumbai etc. There is mix of snacks items from Gujarat too. Samosas are good, medu vadas are tasty, of course the shakes are terrific! Dosas are pretty basic nothing special taste in it, the varieties are just born from the original one which was added with some ingredients for the different variety!! For the chaats & shakes will definitely come back. People complain about wait times- will suggest to go at times ranging from 2 pm -4 pm which is literally empty times!
Food was nice & with good portion. Service was reasonably quick given the newly opened restaurant. Recommend to visit .....
Amazing food and wonderfull service. Always end up over eating. Real taste of Indian delicacies. Kudos to Royal Paan Winnipeg team. Keep it up...
Love this place! We go there all the time for chaat and falooda!

Very much satisfied with service!
Must try the place!!
This tiny restaurant is tucked away behind the St. Vital Mall in the south of Winnipeg. It offers delicious South Indian vegetarian cuisine, My favourite would be the Dosas. They have many kinds. My choice is the Masala Dosa. A large thin crepe stuffed with spicy potatoes, onions and very flavourful. The street food menu is a must-have and are basically appetizers, that are sure to fill you up; so sharing this before the main meal is recommended. Clean, modern decor and prompt service is a plus. Staff could be a tad more friendly though...just saying.

Do yourself a favour and eat here! The food is SO GOOD. Very reasonably priced, great service, and the only restaurant of it's kind in Winnipeg. This IS the best Indian restaurant in the city hands down. Every single thing on the menu tastes amazing (I've tried a lot.) If you've never had Indian street food, I recommend the Pani Puri, Dahi Kachori Puri, and a Dosa.
We all are well aware of the sister branches of Royal Paan in Toronto and Alberta. This tiny Restraunt/outlet is new to Winnipeg and it doesn't disappoint at all. The taste is exactly the same. Prices very reasonable and quantity of dosa you can see in the photo. Food is very fulfilling and delicious. Pao Bhaji I believe is the main attraction.
Slight disappointment as there's long waiting times on weekends. The place is bit small and hot favourite so people come in abundance. You might have to wait to get seated & you cannot make appointments on phone. Another thing I didn't like was not everything mentioned on menu was available. Maybe it's new thats why but this needs to be corrected.
The way dosa is presented is awesome. The filling inside dosa is not that much and I guess that's why it is decorated well to distract customers from the filling.
I still give it a 5 star as servers are very friendly and once you are seated service is fast.
PLEASE NOTE- To maintain temperature of its cold beverages temperature inside the restaurant is cold. Do carry your sweaters inside no matter what day of year it is.
The food here is all so delicious! Their dosa is so thin and light and flaky.. some of the best I've ever had! The whole chaat menu is delicious -- can't go wrong. Share everything you get as the portions are reasonably large. The service was also so great -- we were immediately seated at a small table for two, but as soon as a large booth became available, the server offered it to us for extra comfort and space! So nice! They were fast with food and water refills, and took empty dishes away quickly too. Everything was done with a smile. Can't wait to go back!
Royal Paan on Meadowood Drive is a relatively recent discovery for me. A couple of weeks ago, I headed up to St. Vital Centre to see what was available at the Children’s Hospital Book Market. I managed to find a few deals as I navigated my way around the tables, and then decided I wanted to have an early supper.
Royal Paan is a well know chain serving Indian cuisine all over North America. It has now entered Winnipeg market. No doubt it best in serving Indian food. We ordered Samosa chaat, Pav Bhaji and Amritsari Dosa. All the dishes were very well cooked and tasty. Staff is humble and supportive.
