I love this place! Everything I have ordered I have loved! Every time I bring a friend to taste it they love it! Cambodian chicken panang is melt in your mouth amazing and the staff are super nice too. Do not over look this place it is some of if not the best Thai food I have had in Winnipeg!
Wonderful tasty dishes with great friendly staff.
It's best to phone first to check to see if their open. Business hours are kind of sketchy, but well worth a little extra effort. There is nothing better in that type of cuisine north to the Perimeter.
#topnotch
Great food. Great service. Great Atmosphere.
We met friends from British Columbia here. I've traveled to Cambodia and Thailand. The food here is some of the best Cambodian Cuisine that I have ever eaten. The portions were generous; their coconut curries were excellent. And the waitress was a sweetheart. She knew the dishes well, and explained patiently and with great aplomb and humor the various options. She, along with the excellent cuisine made the evening special. We are headed back there with more friends tonight.
Just went for the first time with a coworker who suggested it. I ordered Wonton Soup and Cantonese Noodles w/Spicy Beef and a 2 Spice Rating. It was unbelievable. The portions were gigantic, the service was top notch, and the price was completely reasonable. I will be going weekly as the menu had lots of options that I look forward to trying out. Happy Fall Y'all.
Chai (I hope I spelt that correct) is the owner of this restaurant. He is so very friendly and nice. I've been ordering food from Thai Bochi for over 4 years now. I honestly order the same 2 items over and over again. The Cambodian chicken and matsman curry are by far my favorite dishes to order in the city. I usually order take out, however when I do come in and sit down with my hubby, Chai always asks us how we are. He makes us feel like family when we take a seat to eat. If you try this place once. you'll be hooked for life :)! Thank you Chai and everyone at Thai bochi!
Gone with co-workers for lunch a few times. We always order the beef sour soup and the chicken panang. For 4 people it's quite enough with the steamed rice they bring you. I don't mind the beef sour soup but the panang is a showstopper as it's super crispy and the dish is so flavorful. The decor is outdated and it feels very cramped and stuffy but the owners are lovely and pleasant and makes for a nice experience to compliment the food.
Have eaten here a few times and also gotten take out. The food is awesome! The flavored are incredible. The owners and staff are very pleasant and accommodating. I can't say enough about this place! Definitely a must to eat here.
The Panang Curry and Pad Thai are my favourite in the city. Also had the Cambodian pork dish and really loved it. Place doesn't look like much from the outside but it is a gem. Also, the prices are lower than other Thai restaurants in the city.
Came here with my wife on a Friday evening and it was moderately busy. Seems like a good family run little place. Panang and red curry were both among the best I've had in the city. First time I had lok lak khmer and it was great. I'm excited to come back to try other Thai dishes!
Great food from great people. We eat here all the time and always are warmly welcomed. I recommend the ultra-rich matsaman. Prices are really good though sometimes they are a wee bit skimpy on the protein.
Short & to the point. We invited a friend who was visiting from Vancouver to join us for dinner tonight. He has been to Thailand 3 times and in his words "this is the best Pad Thai I've had since my last trip to Thailand". Confirmed what we've been saying since our first time dining here 2 years ago. Enjoy !!
Good food, good prices and friendly, family-run place. I have been a number of times and the food is consistently quite good. My favourite is the red curry chicken, spicy, and the matsaman. Pad thai is also really good though sometimes the meat is a little skimpy.
Really, the folks are the brightest spot. I am not sociable but because they are so friendly and pleasant I feel good giving them my money. You can't go wrong here.
#68. Everyone should try their cambodian grilled chicken, yum. great service as well :)
Best restaurant in the city! The foods are perfect to describe and the server and the owner are very nice and friendly! Will definitely come back!
Favorite restaurant in Winnipeg. I LOVE this place. Food = Amazing / Price = Affordable / Staff = Friendly
I have ordered many items and loved them all. So many great options and flavors. Ask to try something that is not on the menu and you will get to try some delicious new options. YUM!

Amazing food, can't wait to go back. We went to this restaurant because another Thai place we frequent was closed for the afternoon. We walked in, looked at the menu and almost left. The items we order from the other Thai place we're not on the menu. We decided to ask the server if they had them and they did. (Shrimp salad rolls and masaman curry). We ordered them along with the deep friend pork spring rolls and the pad Thai. I am so glad we didn't leave. This was by far the best Thai food I have ever had! Portions are very generous and food is extremely fresh and flavorful.
We will be regulars for sure!
Great. Delicious food with generous serving! Definitely try the Cambodian Chicken (#68)!
Nothing they won't do to make you happy. My dad works for the City and he goes to Thai Bochi on a regular basis and loves it. Naturally, when we went for lunch together he felt he needed to show the place off and I rather agreed with him!
The owner was very quick to say that if you want something he'll make it for you, even if it's not quite on the menu. My sister had a crispy chicken dish that was to die for, my dish was amazing, and my dad's dish, a sizzling platter, was extremely hot and delicious, not spicy, just wonderful. I'm not sure that sizzling platter was even on the menu, or that any of our dishes were but my sister's chicken one, but everything was fantastic and I will definitely return.
AMAZING!! The best food in town!!! Chi the owner is fantastic:)
AMAZINGLY ADDICTIVE (PERECT WORDS). There has not been ONE thing on this Menu that I have tried that I have not LOVED.
I don't know how many times I have driven by this place so finally a co-worker and I stopped in and were blown away. The service was outstanding, the food was spectacular & we are now all hooked. The portions are large (we normally order 2 different dishes and split them), the flavour is just something amazing. They have the best Pad Thai I have EVER had and I am pretty picky about that one dish :). All their ingredients are fresh and the taste is out of this world.
Will keep going back again and again & have recommended to others and they are hooked as well.
Wish I had found this place long time ago.
Amazing!. This was my first time at Thai Bochi. I had heard from a few people that it was great and they were right. The place isnt big and fancy. Just a small family business. I had the chicken thai green curry and my friend had the chicken pad thai. They were both awesome and had so much flavour. Everything looked at tasted so fresh. The staff was also very nice and accomodating as my friend had a seafood allergy. Overall it was a hit in my books and I will definetly be going back!
Delicous!. One of the best places I've ate at. It's small with a friendly staff that makes you feel like a part of the family. The portions are huge and taste amazing. It's a great mix of Thai and Cambodian. The grilled marinated chicken dish is a favorite!
Authentic.... Very authentic mixed of Cambodian / Thai and a bit of Chinese food. Good service and the owner is very nice. Highly recommended.
Yum. This is the best thai in the city. It reminded me of the good ol' days, dining at Sawadee Thai (when they were good).
You can get 2 large plates, appetizer and 1/2 litre of red for $37. 'Can't go wrong with that!
This a a fantastic restaurant! We came here today looking fr some spicy food because we both have colds. The owner suggested Tom yum soup. He put extra lemongrass and herbs in it and it was delicious. We also had pad Thai, spicy beef stew and spring rolls, all Of which we would order again. Our order was for take out and we will have enough food for at least two meals. This place is a must try!
Favourite Thai Restaurant. Best Thai Restaurant In Winnipeg. Favourite dish Shrimp Pad Thai. The son Charles always waits on me every time I go there. The Pad Thai curry is good too.
Great Food All Selections Taste Different. I have been to Thai Bochi on several occasions . They have earned the best Cambodian, Thai restaurant in the city. I can't say I have had a bad dish after going back numerous times. The best is every dish tastes different ,and does not taste like add veg choose meat put on slightly different sauce here. You can have it spicy or mild everyone will enjoy.
Large portions and good food, Good service as well defiantly will go again
Loved this place, food was fantastic, nice decor. Big portions with fresh ingredients, the owner was there talking to all the customers, he was very pleasant, helped us with the menu and explained the special fish sauce they make to dip appetizers in. Didn't find a single thing I didn't like. My husband had one of the specials and it exceeded expectations! A must visit!
Food. Food is great, service is great! What more else to say but it my new favorite food stops.
Great Experience. My wife got wind of this place from some co-workers, so we tried it out. I'd never tried Cambodian food, so I was keen to give it a go.
Nice place. Family run.
Our server was the 'son', and he was very helpful and pleasant throughout.
Dishes are meant to be shared among a group, like your basic Chinese place.
The problem we had was that I ordered the Cambodian Sour Beef Stew, which didn't appeal to her, and she ordered a vermicelli curry dish, which didn't appeal to me.
However, my dish, the stew, was freaking awesome!! It's a simple soup (nothing 'stewy' about it) with beef chunks and an incredibly aromatic and tasty broth. It may be a little too strong in flavor for some, but I thought it was great.
Her vermicelli dish wasn't a big hit. While the dish itself was excecuted perfectly (the vermicelli was perfetly cooked), the flavor was that of a fairly basic curry-powder type of curry. She was hoping for more of a Thai-style curry. The dish was also a uniform color of beige - it would have presented much better with something green - even just a little garnish.
You can order spice levels from 1 to 10. We went with 5's, and really couldn't detect much heat. I think we'd bump it up to 9's or 10's next time.
Great food at a great restaurant. I recently discovered Thai Bochi and I have been very impressed every time I've been there. The coconut green and red curry soups are excellent. Everyone who likes Thai and Cambodian cuisine should check this place out
Super friendly owners. Delicious food! We are vegetarian and they were very flexible with their dishes (willing to create more veg options and to replace meat with tofu). They are the only place in town (that we know of) with Cambodian options. Highly recommended!

What a great surprise. Our lunch crew are thai snobs and have tried most of the good places in Wpg. Thai Bochi is a bit different. Clearly more cambodian that real thai, so we experimented. I had the red curry chicken. A review here called it watery- its thin, but def not watery. This sauce was packed with great flavour and there were jal pappers but also a bunch of thai chilis ground up as well. And holy filling- lots of tender chicken, veg and other treats. Extra spicy. Extra good. Came with rice. Loved it.
Pals had their version of meekrop- looked pretty good.
Another guy had the chicken pad thai, huge and covered with chicken and real ground peanuts. It was great.
But the real surprise was their sour beef stew. We love the tom yum and the souk gai sour and hot soups, but this cambodian dish was literally a moaner, as in you moan with every bite. Fresh, aromatic, spicy, a hit of galangal that grabs you by the back of the throat, and these big succulent tender chunks of marbled beef that just melted in your mouth. Sigh. Ill go back and get that every time. You know that part of a roast that has the fat on it? Man it was good.
Good prices for a ton of food and great service at lunch. Well done Thai Bochi.
Easy 4.5 bamboo shoots out of 5
Filled my Fix. Menu looked interesting.... Only ordered a Panang curry. Sauce was a little thinner than I liked, but still very tasty. I am definitely go back to try some other items on menu! Friendly service.
Great Food, Great service. This is a great family run operation, great server and the food is amazing. Never thought to try because of the location, but it is definitely worth it. Spring rolls are great as well as the Cambodian chicken. Will return again. My new favourite restaurant.
Surprise!. I was a little leery to order from here based on location, but sometimes those places turn out to be the best. I am SOOO glad I did! Do your tummy a favor and order the Lok Lak Khmer. You will not be disappointed!
Great food. If you want food with a great taste this restaurant is a must go to.I was shocked to learn that the owner was the one and only cook. The food was excellent and the service was great. The mixed vegetables on crispy noodles is now one of my favorite dishes.I have them once a week for lunch and have them when I go dine in.If you do decide to try this place make sure you ask for his special homemade sauce that you can put on anything you order.Thank you guys for the great service, and especially the fantastic food,we will be back.
Very good!!!. Ambiance is nice, service was very good. I had the Shrimp Pad Thai and pork & veggie spring rolls.; both items were excellent. Pad Thai portion was easily enough for 2 people. Prices are very reasonable. I would return and recommend.

We highly recommend Thai Bochi. The food is magnificent. A must repeat visit again very soon is in order.
Food was amazing. Service was great. Everything made to order and fresh!! Winnipeggers should be flocking to this family run gem! Try the spring rolls, Pad Thai and especially the fried rice! 10 out of 10!!!
Had a wonderful talk with the owner and he shared his thoughts on food and his philosophy of cooking. Very down to earth and believes everyone deserves only fresh food and that's why its made to order. No buffet here folks.
Lok Lak Khmer is a traditional beef dish that they server. Wonderfully spiced and served with fresh vegetables. It was stunning in its simplicity and yet it had a very complex flavor. Would highly recommend you try it. Take a friend because the portions are huge!
Hidden Gem. Dropped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and can't wait to go back to try other menu items. The Shrimp Pad Thai (ordered at "Spicy" level) was fanatastic. Flavour was very nice and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. Also enjoyed the Cambodian Curry Fried Vermicelli with Chicken. Portions were generous and staff / management very pleasant. They may be located a little off the beaten path but definitely worth trying.
Good but not Mind Blowing. After seeing this new restaurant with all 6 votes being positive, I was curious to try. Although called Thai Bochi, this restaurant claims to be Winnipeg's first and only Cambodian restaurant as well. Being that it is located fairly close to my work, I sent one of my coworkers down to bring me back something for lunch. If you would like to see the menu go to winnipeg.kijiji.ca and search for Thai Bochi. They placed a Kijiji ad announcing their opening and posted pictures up of the menu. My coworker brought me back the #66--Lok Lak Khmer ($9.99), which is marinated stewing beef served over rice with a side of fresh cucumbers and tomatoes that came with a dressing on the side. The beef was tender and tasted good but it lacked some flavor. I didn't taste very much spice. They did give a packet of hot sauce on the side, but I was expecting the dish to have more flavor on its own. The vegetables were refreshing and the dressing on the side had a strong lemon and pepper flavor to it. My coworker had the #65--Sour Beef Stew. He found it flavorful, and overall pretty fatty--but very enjoyable. I will most likely be back in the future to try some of the other offerings.
An unassuming exterior belies the extravagant food that lies inside. Ignore the downright dangerous area of town Thai Bochi is located in and come for tasty Thai cuisine.
I get it. Mistakes happen, but the way this restaurant helped to solve my problem is above and beyond what I'd expect.
At first, I would have given the rating. Maybe a 2 stars had I just dealt with skip the dishes on the half order I received.
I ordered the red chicken curry meal, which says it comes with rice on the menu, but all I received was like a thick soup, which is not what I ordered, no rice and no cutlery. Had I been at home.i could have easily made do with my own rice and cutlery, but I was at a hotel for spring break with family. So I immediately called the restaurant and spoke with the manager Krystina, she apologized profusely and told me they had some new staff who were in training and she would fix and make a whole new order for pick up. BUT Since I ordered through skip I had to deal with their customer service to go pick up the new meal, when i contacted their customer service they were rude and didn't when refund me the whole amount or send a driver to pick up and drop off my order. So I called the restaurant back and this is when I was blown away with how amazing the customer service is at KYU, Krystina told me she would get someone to drive to my hotel with my new meal(they don't do delivery) and she even threw in a few extras..beyond impressed and the food turned out amazing.
I will be referring to family and friends and ordering again soon!

Simply the BEST green curry in Winnipeg.❤ Dine in or takeout. I cannot say enough about how tasty each dish I have tried is. They are very gentle with the heat, so if you like it hot, you have to request hot. (Like, not menu hot)
Classic don’t judge a book by its cover story. Not much from the exterior but it is a well designed contemporary space with the best Thai food in the city. Vi-ann was my go to but it was closed and we found our way here. Lucky us. This will be my first choice and highest recommendation.
We can’t remember how we found this place, but it. Is. Amazing. The peanut satay noodle soup (recommend medium heat) is incredible, we just tried the green curry and it was out of this world, and everything is so astonishingly flavourful.
It’s not got great signage, so it’s easy to pass without noticing on Logan, but it’s absolutely worth an order (we just finished our third meal from here!).
Came for the Pho Burger for Burger Week, which was awesome. Will come back to try the menu. 👍
Edit: Came for dinner and wasn't disappointed! The green curry soup was spicy but good. The coconut rice with pork was awesome, as was the yellow curry with beef. 😋 The crispy chicken was very good. Great service, big portions. Don't be fooled by the area its in, cozy little restaurant. Definitely be back again.
Service and food equally amazing. Was scares to go to max spice but server gave me extra spices on the side. Very tasty.
I ate here for lunch, new ownership, new menu still a good lunch place. The restaurant is pretty small and gets pretty busy for the lunch rush. The staff are very nice and the food is tasty. Prices are very affordable but you may have to wait a bit for your meal. Parking can be an issue and parking across the street on Logan can lead to a dangerous dash across the street as there is no crosswalk.
