Review Mr. Calzone - Winnipeg

This place is a joke. I ordered food at 9:30 PM, and nothing showed up after 1 hour and 15 minutes (even though their website says 60 minutes). I called them, and the guy who answered the phone said it would be here in 15 minutes. I waited another 45 minutes for my food to arrive. That’s a total of two hours for my food to get here. Once it actually did arrive, I got nothing what I ordered. I ordered a burger, meaty calzone, and a Shawarma sandwich. All I got was some coleslaw and chicken mess-in-a-box, along with the most pitiful half a wrap I have ever seen in my life. My burger and calzone didn’t even arrive.

It was my first time trying Mr.Calzone's Calzone, I got the spicy chicken Calzone and it was really good. Medium size was good enough for two people.

BEST CALZONE I’ve ever had! I placed the order through the website and as usual it is wow!! This calzone was sooo delicious ! and the garlic sauce is just different than anywhere else! Will continue ordering from here again and again for sure!! I would say the best calzone in Winnipeg!

The quantity was good, and the staff were friendly ..but the taste was average.. there is no air-conditioning..it was too hot to dine in.. I felt bad for the people working inside

ONLY TAKE CASH. Everytime we come and pull out our cars they said the machine is broken and they say this everytime even after months and years it’s still broken. They only take cash and don’t even tell you on the phone. They just don’t want to pay the extra fees

Once Ordered through Skip the dishes (pick up). They almost took 45 minutes Just to prepare pizza. I got the pizza with very few toppings. it was literally uncooked.Staff was very rude. I will never ever go there again.very disappointed.

The calzone taste is really good. I ordered one medium today online and picked up in their stated time. The good thing was I got a call just after the order where someone apologized as they were out of beef. He offered me chicken instead of beef and I accepted that. Medium one should be called as small as it is not good for 2 persons. Price is kind of high compared to the Calzone size. 4 stars for the food taste and quality. Maybe will visit again but for sure will not order for the medium size again!!

I wonder why this place is even open. Half of their menu isn't available. They offered to sub in a salad for my pick up order, when I got there they didn't even have cutlery for me to eat the salad with. The staff working the counter was not helpful at all, he seemed to think a free can of pepsi makes up for them messing up my order and for not having utensils for me to eat that wrong order with.

Just tried to order pizza from this place. We asked what type of cheeses they had. We got a response of "White cheese" and when asked again, their response was "I don't know what it's called"

I ordered a pizza, and two donairs on xmas eve through skip the dishes. Order was around $35, plus tip. Was originally quoted 45 mins delivery time on skip. Understandable, not many restaurants open on xmas night. Immediately after ordering, was sent a message, busier than usual, order would take 45 mins, to 75 mins. Ok, not a problem, appreciate being let in on the time change, and early. 95 mins later, I call the restaurant to find out whats going on with my order, which has still not arrived. The manager answers, and is very rushed, and looking to get me off the phone quickly. Not quite rude, but giving me quick, one word answers. Tells me my order will be here.in 5 mins. Seems like smoke being blown up my ass, ask if the order had even left. (15 min drive from my place in ZERO traffic). I am assured it has left, and will be here in 5 mins. Continue on, asking to confirm my order. Am repeated back the wrong order. I let him know the order I actually put through on skip, and he lets me know thats NOT whats coming. I tell him I am not paying for the wrong order, and to please e send put the correct order asap. (I have already paid for this order in full through skip) The manager lets me know that no, there is no way they will be correcting the order, as that is what I ordered. I have the manager read back the order to me. As he reads it, he realizes his mistake mid reading, and gets sudddenly angry, and tells me it doesnt matter, thats the order i'll be getting. I tell him I will not be paying for that. Its not what I ordered. I proceed to tell him how I cant believe the terrible customer service I am receiving from the manager. That I will definitely be making a negative review about his restaurants service. He proceeds to laugh in my ear and tell me that they are such a busy restaurant, that they dont need my business, and then hang up on me. I will obviously never give such a business an opportunity to recieve my hard earned money again, but definitely want to warn anyone else out there of the level of service, and care for repeat business that this company has. Cheers to everyone who takes the time to read this, and BAD FORM on City Pizza. If you want to be a successful business, you need to put your clients first, and think twice about who you hire into management.
