I’m glad I found this sushi place by accident when I was craving raw fish as it’s near my condo! Don’t let the interior turn you off but they do know how to make good sushi here!
Got takeout, restaurant was clean and staff was very friendly. Sashimi was fresh, chicken teriyaki was great and big portion. Tempura and miso soup were yummy. Sunomono was a bit different than usual...there was a small portion of dressing/sauce rather than the usual vinegar liquid it floats in - I still enjoyed it though! The ebi in the sunomono was good but had a slight fishy taste. California roll and dynamite roll were good but only complaint was rice was over cooked and mushy. They forgot my order of extra ginger but gave us a free can of coke so all is forgiven :). I would definitely go back. I am from Vancouver and very picky with my sushi. This place was good.
Love love love this place because of its close to home location, always fresh sushi (it’s almost impossible to find fresh and tasty sashimi in the area, trust me, I’ve tried them all) and the very friendly staff.
We always order from KL Sushi when we want sushi for pickup. The veggie roll is my favorite. We always get the 5 rolls for 21.99. All the staff are super friendly and welcoming!
The sushi is fresh, tasty and filling! The price is affordable which is great as it allows us to try a variety of menu items. Whenever my husband and I go to pickup, they are soooo friendly. The dine-in part of KL Sushi is very small so we enjoy our sushi at home instead. We are so glad we discovered them.
Highly recommend KL Sushi. Tried many other sushi places around my area, and none are as good and as decently priced as it is here. Good food, great people, and good price. Can't say nothing bad about this place
I've been here since highschool and it has definitely become my go to place for sushi/japanese food whenever I have the craving for it (which is quite often). The staff there are incredibly friendly and it is very warming when they recognize and greet me enthusiastically whenever I stop by. Although the place is quite small, the food is always consistent and tasty. They are good portions and cheaper than many other places I've been to. There is a slight language barrier though. They speak mainly korean but for the most part, the cashier will be able to clear anything up. Overall, it is a cute place with decent food well worth its price, a good place to try out when you're in the area.
Had the small party platter, everything was very fresh and tasty. More then enough for me and my wife. Will be our go to relatively close Sushi place. Good value.
I love KL Sushi for 2 reasons. Friendliest service and wonderful sushi! The prices are great and a small platter for $30 is a feast for 2 people. The sushi is always fresh, the rice is nice, the sauces are flavourful and there is always a lot of filling. This is my #1 favourite sushi place. I have never been disappointed by the food here. It's a take out place but it does have 2 tables and every time I have felt like eating there I have been lucky enough to get one of those 2 tables.
I love Ki sushi. Ive been there more then a dozen times. It's always fresh, quick and tasty. The last time I got takeout they gave me a complementary sample. This is defiantly my favorite sushi place by far.
I live right around the corner and come here at least once every two weeks. The sushi is so good and it's not that pricey. The trays are an amazing deal.
Small little place with really decent sushi. 5 regular rolls for $19.95? Can't go wrong! They have a couple of tables to sit and eat so it doesn't just have to be rake out. Service is friendly and food comes out quick! Would definitely recommend!
Getting my lunch at Ki Sushi is the only highlight of my day whenever I have to work at Concordia Hospital. 10 minutes before my lunch break, I phone them to order my food (#31 Assorted tempura) and it is always ready to pick up and properly packaged by the time I cross the street. I appreciate that they cut out a corner of the container to let out the steam so that my food is not soggy. All the staff (including the kitchen staff) collectively says "Hello, Welcome" when you arrive and "Thank You, please come back again" when you leave. They included free soup when I ordered 2 items.
Really Great Take Out. Definitely would recommend! Really good prices and big portions. The sushi ingredients were prepared properly and they had super quick service. Drinks are a buck a can!
Maybe not for people new to sushi because the menu has no pictures. You can dine in, but it's really small.

Best sushi. Was worried when we moved to this end of town but was rewarded with the best taste and value in all of Wpg. And I've tried loads of places. Only one real table so takeout is the way to go. Always ready on time and fast, even at busy times. Super friendly and accommodating , have eaten my way through the menu and never been let down, except see below. All sushi is fresh and warm and the udon is great if you're feeling sick. Roll combos are the best value by far, I stay away from the Special rolls as one is not enough and the portions are really small compared to the combos which are fantastic. the volcano is a disaster, the only one I've encountered, slathered in what tastes like spicy 1000 Island- yech! The volcano at Sushi Cushi is what a volcano is all about.Highly recommend !

Pretty Good. Good prices... sushi is pretty good. Not fantastic, but good for what you pay. Watch your totals, as they make mistakes sometimes. I go here pretty often, I would keep going.
At first I was unsure due to the size of the restaurant. It said "Take Out" on the wall so I asked if we could sit down. We were seated at one of the two tables and brought menus and lemon water. I picked some tempura, a nigiri assortment and two rolls - red dragon and volcano.
All delicious, with beautiful presentation. Possible some of the best sushi I've ever had. Bonus, I was on a date with my husband and the restaurant was stone silent. We definitely appreciated the quiet time away from the kids :)
Tasty take out sushi. Ordered edamame, veggie caterpillar roll, shitake maki, and a chicken katsu roll for the bf. It was very tasty and quite affordable. Ready very quickly, and the staff were all very friendly, all 5 of them (3 chefs and 2 girls taking orders at the cash register) waved goodbye and cheerfully said have a good night as I left!
Very good sushi at a very good price.. By far the best sushi in the NK area. The chopped scallop roll was one of the best sushi rolls I've had in Winnipeg.
I ordered a selection of vegetarian sushi rolls and the miso soup. The food was fresh, delicious, and ready for pick-up in about 10 minutes. I found the staff very polite and accommodating. Also, the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely order from Ki Sushi again.
Best sushi ever!. We came all the way from Montreal to have Ki Sushi. They are absolutely the best! The prices are cheap, the food is delicious, and the owners are way too generous. Never had a bad experience. Always generous portions.

Very Delicious & Friendly Staff. I may be biased because I'm a regular, but this is my favorite places to get sushi. Now, no place in Winnipeg has real authentic sushi (save for Yujiro who has a Japanese chef, perhaps there are more?). This place does have delicious North Americanized sushi and other delicious Japanese fanfare.
I really like their sushi. The rice is well seasoned and out together in perfect amounts. At times the nori on the rolls could be tighter, since they can fall apart. I don't mind since it is so good. I love any of the spicy rolls, since the sauce they use is one of the best spicy sauces I've tried. It is actually spicy and not overly so. My favorite roll is the spicy shrimp; it has a blended mix of cucumber shrimp and that special sauce.
I also love their Takoyaki tastes like it from Japan, except it is deep fried. But it is still delicious none the less. Other great items are the tempura, salads and sashimi. They are well priced and have great taste. There are lots of choices to pick so you can try something new each time.
The inside of the restaurant part is rather small. The owner only had takeout to start and eat in was an afterthought. At times service can be slow since they are busy in the kitchen. They don't have a waitress staffed because the inside is small. It can be quite cramped for a restaurant like setting, so I usually opt for takeout. But if you do sit in the owner is really kind and will usually strike up a conversation.

I Really Liked This Place, I Ordered The Spicy California Roll($3.95) & Real Crab California Roll($6.25) We Pre-Ordered It & They Said It would Be Ready In 15-20 minutes. We got there 30 minutes later & It Wasnt Done, I Dont Even Think They Started On It So We Had To Wait An Additional 15-20 Minutes For It To Be Done. Other Then That, It Was Great, You could Tell it was Fresh & Very Reasonable In Prices. Going To Order Again Very Soon. Another Complaint Is Just Too Big Pieces of Avacado.

I Went back & ordered the same Thing In August, Instead Of Avacado, I Asked For Cucumber Instead. Turns Out they Didnt understand and Added In Avacado, So They had to re-do it all But they added in A Coke & A Extra. When Me & My Sister Were Eating It, We Found That The Sushi Tasted...Off. Turns Out, They Added On Fish Eggs As The Extra, Me & My Sister Threw It Out. They Should Have Asked If Adding Fish Eggs Was Okay. Me & My Sister Were Disgusted & Honestly, Im Not Sure If I Will Order Again From Here Or Not. :/

Went there today, I can walk there in two minutes or less so I decided to finally try it. Rice was a little weird, some rolls came apart, rolled too big for my taste. It's a great value but I think on a budget Magic is better. It only seats six so it might be tough getting a table.
Impressed. To be honest I went to this place not expecting too much. Often I find that people rant and rave about sushi restaurants and I end up hating them. My friend and I decided to try it out and I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered 4 rolls and some tempura and it was all very tasty. While we were waiting one of the employees brought us a roll to sample and it was really delicious. Though I do not think this place has mind-blowing sushi, I thought that it was good for the price and I would definitely go again.
Great place for sushi. Great neighbourhood sushi place. I go here often for take-out. Very small to dine-in (three small tables). I love salmon and here it is very fresh. The prices are very reasonable. I usually have fast-food on Friday's however now go to this place my end of the week treat.
Friendly service, quality fish, great value!. The prices at Ki Sushi are awesome. I stopped in near the end of their lunch rush for some take out, the staff was extremely friendly and attentive, despite it being quite busy. I ordered the Roll Combo (California and Dynamite rolls, with 3 pieces each of tuna and salmon maki, with miso - $7.25) and a few pieces of nigiri (salmon - $1.25, chopped scallop - $1.50, and white tuna - $1.50). The fish portions were some of the most generous I've seen at a sushi restaurant in Winnipeg, and the each was fresh and delicious. The rolls were also quite tasty, with not too much rice and generous fillings, especially in the maki.
I love good quality sushi, so having read the great reviews, we thought we would give this one a shot. We were pleasantly surprised with how awesome this little gem is! We were the only people in this small space, but that just meant that they were extremely attentive! The staff of two were very friendly and helpful. They even brought us some items to try! We ate A LOT...and everything tasted fresh and delicious! The portions were huge and the price-low. I've gone to many other sushi places with poorer quality and much higher prices. This is definitely a keeper. I do suggest if you are dining in, go at an odd time...it only seats six people.

Best sushi around.. This sushi is about 2 minutes from my house, and I have been going there for a few months now. It is by far the best sushi in Winnipeg, and most reasonably priced. The people working there remember your name and always say hello when you come in. They just recently added tables for sit down, and it is small, but worth it! Your sushi is ready in under ten minutes, and is always fresh. Definatly give this sushi place a try!
Hidden gem worth your time. My wife and I have often passed by this place, and yesterday decided to give them a try. What a wonderful experience! Friendly smiles, excellent sushi and great combo options (not to mention decent prices). Ordered the King's Combo and Dynamite Combo. Plenty of food with Miso Soup included in the price. I can't remember the last time I truly enjoyed sushi like this. We dined in, space is small (only 3 tables for two people each) but clean and nicely decorated. Highly recommended.
If you crave sushi while on Regent Ave, head up to the strip mall DIRECTLY across Concordia Hospital for some of the best sushi in the area!

A nice little sushi place, seems to be take-out only as the front is very tiny. Friendly staff, quick prep time, fresh food. The prices are fair and the food tastes good.
Amazing!. I love this place, I have been twice and the service is great and the people who work there are so nice. I would suggest it to anyone who likes sushi, everything is always fresh and takeout time is never any longer than 15 minutes.

KL Sushi is not the best sushi place I can recommend but they do serve good sushi and the best bang for the buck in terms of price to quality and consistency.
I have ordered sushi here countless times and they were always able to satisfy my sushi cravings without hurting my wallet. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating.
Ordered the small party tray and an order of shrimp tempura and everything was on point! I also recommend the Chirashi Don and Udon.

I believe the KL sushi is one of the best sushi restaurant in Winnipeg. I've tried so many times but have never been disappointed. Their services and staffs are super kind and very fair price compared to other sushi restaurants.
They should hire a cashier that speak/understand English well. My friend doesn't use chopsticks so I asked for spoon and fork and they still forgot the fork. And I mentioned that multiple times. It can be frustrating to order on the phone sometimes due to language barrier. Overall, the food is amazing & the staff are super friendly and nice.
