I had a good time at mooshiro sushi, they have good service and it is definitely better than some lousy pre made sobeys sushi. I cant wait to try everything they have to offer :)
$18.95 for ayce lunch. Lots of options in the menu. Service was prompt and friendly and they check up on you every now and then. The sushis were big and packed with ingredients. Tempuras were crisp although i found the batter just slightly heavy on the shrimp tempura. The only thing i didnt like from the ayce menu was the spicy beef noodle as it had very little meat to noodle ratio and it tasted like it was just tossed in thin plain sweet and sour sauce. Otherwise, we liked the sushis we ordered, tempuras were good, gyoza were good as well and the service is prompt and friendly. We will be back
Came here for the all you can eat lunch special. I was quite skeptical ordering rolls because typically, all you can eat joints do not deliver good rolls. To my surprise..the rolls were the highlight of my meal! I had the bakudan, caterpillar, tuna/avocado (handroll), salmon/avocado(handroll), and the rainbow - listed according to what I enjoyed most. An appetizer that stood out to me would be the shrimp tempura. They batter is light fluffy and does not taste overly oily.
Would not recommend: tuna goma ae. I never disliked his dish from any restaurant before but it just didn't taste right here.
I would come back in the future (with an empty stomach) for the rolls and explore more of the appetizers! If you're adventurous, I do recall seeing a strawberry roll in the menu. For the dessert lovers, there's a fridge with three flavours of ice-cream you can help yourself to.
One of our more frequented sushi places for AYCE. Service was prompt and he checked in with us regularly to make sure things were ok. Quite accommodating when asked about making a roll without crab stick for one of us with a shellfish allergy. Everything came out quickly and tasted great.
Just go to this restaurant first time .Very good sushi ,tastes is so good , and service is also friendly .I like their restaurant design , Japanese culture very rich 、I think I will come back again next time
The restaurant in a quick summary
First impression:
Place could be better maintained, as carpets were dirty, and windowsill was overly dusty. (Lady and I sat by the windows).
Service:
Waitress was very attentive of us, very friendly, she never let our glasses of water go empty, realized when we used our napkins and quickly replaced them without having to be asked. She named each sushi roll on the platter once served, which is not common unfortunately at other restaurants.
Food:
Tempura kani(crab sticks) which i thought at first a good idea, but were a little bland and flavourless, overall the other tempura vegetables were good, nothing out of the ordinary.
Sushi pizza was lacking the fish portion and its more over powered by the large portion of deep fried rice patty cake
Osaka roll is what we recommend it is a torched roll which actually gave it a unique taste that kind of pulled all the ingredients together, making the roll melt in our mouths.
We also ordered the tokyo roll (not deep fried), dragon roll, rainbow roll, and a calfornia smoked salmon roll. All of these were up to par but nothing stood out to us, not to say these rolls were bad because the rolls were still quite enjoyable. Better than most all you can eat sushi joints, not too much rice in the rolls, and decent portions of seafood. The sashimi slices were well sized, no problems with the portions at all.
Overall experience the lady and I would go back if in the mood for all you can eat sushi. Notably for the great service, good food, decent price for sushi.
Bigbellydell&lady give this place 3 and half thumbs up 👍👍👍👊!
Spectacular service. We showed up with 8 pol and a 2 yr old child. from the get go they were fast with the orders and everything was delicious. even while things were being spilt and a kid was screaming our waiter was kind and quick. for the price it is the sushi is spectacular. they brought put appetizers quick. love coming here and will keep on coming
Phenom-nom-nom. So it's a Saturday morning and I've done an excellent job of staying in my bed and neglecting everything I need to get done around the house. I finally rise from my slumber and I'm clearly on a roll, I have accomplished nothing, why stop now? I'm hungry but eggs are for bird butts, I need something Godly. I begin reading through the manuscripts of Google when I find a scripture in the Holy book of Urban Spoon, It's stands out to me and I need not read the reviews, I have a vision of a place called Mooshiro. The clothing I threw on the floor last night will do just fine, I hop in my volkswagen and set out for the holy land. It's streets made of gold, Portage is my path to heaven. I arrive at the pearly gates and park my car safely within the 2 hour restricted zone. It is time. I enter and see my server, God bless her angelic face. "You can sit anywhere" she sings to me. I find a spot and begin to select the golden treasures I am to devour. With each selection my mouth waters, the table is covered in my saliva. Minutes go by, it feels like seconds, I'm hungry but alive, here she comes, here it comes, dear sweet sweet lord. Before me sits a plate of pure love and magic. Sexy sexy magic. Each bite was a story on it's own. I could write novels of the sensations experienced with each swallow and gulp. I cried as I made marvellous mouth love to these beautiful sushi rolls. After an hour of feasting and tears, it was done. I was done... or so I thought. In a dark corner across the room I saw a flash of silver, one that I could not mistake for that of an ice cream scoop. In this moment I could not believe, I had expended all of my faith moments earlier. I asked "Excuse me beautiful angel of zion, is that... ice cream?" She replied not but instead showed me in one kind gesture that indeed the bountiful harvest of heaven had no end. I wept. I'm still weeping. Heaven exists, It is Mooshiro sushi. Go forth and behold is beauty my brothers and sisters. Amen.
The service was excellent and so was the food, Me and my family loved the meal and will come back the next time we want sushi.
Great food, amazing service. We used to come here all the time a few years ago and the quality of the food got worse and worse until we finally decided to quit frequenting this restaurant. After a couple of years a friend convinced us to try it again 2 weeks ago and we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was.
All the sushi is fresh and delicious, nice presentation, and the service is very friendly and attentive. I've been back 3 times in the last two weeks and it's been great every time. So happy to have a well-priced all you can eat option.
Delicious food... excellent service... great value.... What more can you ask for? I came here for dinner with my girl friend tonight and it was one of the best sushi restaurants I've ever been to. Couldn't believe it was all you can eat. The quality was top notch. We ordered quite a bit of nigiri and sashimi & everything was so fresh. The rolls were unbelievable, lots of variety and ingredients. I think they do rolls better than most of the off the menu restaurants in Winnipeg! Service was fast and friendly.. Loved how the servers engaged into conversation with us and made us feel very welcomed. We will bring all the girls here for our next night out!!
I went out for dinner with my husband and daughter. We have not been out for sushi for awhile so chose the all u can eat route since we were not sure what she would eat. The food was great, what needed to be hot was hot and what needed to be cold was cold. The presentation was very nice and they came around often to make sure we were looked after!!! Will go back!!!! My daughter loved the fact ice cream came with the meal too!
I tried this place out on Saturday & I really liked it. The food was delicious. All the food was beautifully organized & the coloured tempora was a nice touch. I'll definitely go back.
New Favourite. I came here over the weekend for the first time and this restaurant was suprisingly good!! The sushi was excellent and service was very friendly and attentive... I can't wait to come back!
Nothing Special. Compared to ALL of the other sushi places in Winnipeg, this is not at the top of my list. However, the service was great as was the food. The prices are a little high but the rolls are quite big and very filling. I would go again, but I'm not racing out to get there.
Good food great service. Went there Friday August 2nd, place was very busy. Staff was doing everything to make everyone happy, and served. This was our first time there. We will be back. We left very full. Portion sizes seemed bigger than other sushi places. Next time we will order less, and if we are still hungry will order more
Aside from the kid checking out some kind of Reddit style softporn, this was fine. Food was decent, including nice tender sashimi. Sushi chef and main server were contentious and fast. Not licensed at present.
Great food at a great price. All you can eat menu with different price points is a great idea. Service was mediocre, but I will definitely be returning.
This restuarnt is awsome. Food are the best in town i've ever had, and the price was bery cheap too! People are so friendly and nice! You guys should try big bang! I can garanteed you you will love this place!! ~(@ @)/
I had the 10.95 all you can eat and it was soooooo good. I've told lots of friends about it and they all agreed. Yummmm I'm gonna go tonight now :)
Wonderful experience; delicious menu!. My boyfriend and I were downtown late on Saturday after our city's Santa Claus Parade (we volonteered on one of the floats) and were absolutely starving. It was already 9:40pm when we passed Mooshiro and thought sushi sounded like a great idea for dinener. I called and found out they were open until 10:30pm. We debated, feeling bad it was so near closing time, but hunger won out and we went in. We were greeted right away and we could tell just from the atmosphere and the service we made the right choice. We ordered a variety off the AYCE menu, opting to go with the very reasonably priced $14.99 option (including udon soup and kitchen specials, as well as ice cream for dessert) as well as some green tea (so warming after a cool night outside). The spicy squid with noodles blew our socks off. The kimchi udon soup was amazingly flavored. The sushi pizza, tempura appetizer, and sunonomo salad were all perfectly sized and flavored (this salad was one of the best we've had in the city). All of the rolls we ordered were fresh, tasty, and well presented. The service was extremely polite and attentive. Even though we didn't leave until close to 11:00pm, we never felt rushed. This was exactly the experience we had hoped for. I am not sure why the reviews are not higher for this restaurant. I hope everyone reading this gives Mooshiro a try to judge this little gem on their own...you will not be disappointed!
They are open again!!! All .... They are open again!!!
All you can eat sushi for $16.95.
The staff was friendly and prompt.
The rolls are ok but the tempura, edamame and sushi pizza were excellent!
I will definitely go again.
Last November I paid a visit to Sushi Gen, on Portage Avenue. My intent was to follow it up quite quickly with a visit to Mooshiro. Mooshiro is another all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant, located just past Portage and Maryland...When all is said and done, if your primary concern is price, Mooshiro Sushi will give you a good dinner for you dollar. However, if you’re not concerned with cost, I’d pick Sushi Gen.
Went for lunch. The sushi was excellent! All you can eat includes side dishes and appetizers instead of the normal that just includes rolls. Came with ice cream.

Hands down my favourite sushi spot in the city! The food is delicious and fresh, restaurant is very clean, portions are big, and staff are very friendly.
I am shocked to see any negative views because I come to this restaurant at least 3 times a month and I have always had a great experience.
Highly recommend this restaurant!

The place doesn't look the greatest from the outside but the sushi is 2nd to none.. don't let its appearance deter you. Everything in the menu is AWESOME.
It's around $23 for all you can eat but trust me it's worth it..
Think about it logically: it will cost you $10 for a McDonald's meal, For an extra $13 you'll get something special.
A little warning: Eating sushi here will ruin all other sushi for you. You will soon realize that all the other sushi you have eaten is garbage.. especially supermarket sushi. So if you enjoy supermarket sushi do not eat here because you will never be satisfied with the supermarket garbage again.
Was a little worried at first just because of the look of the place but the food was amazing! Will definitely come back for the all you can eat all sushi! All of the deep fried food was nice and hot and so were the soups everything tasted fresh and was very good!
We love this place.
Family owned and always fresh!
We come here at least once a month.
Rachel is awesome, she's very attentive and hardworking.
Highly recommend.
